  1. His competence regarding football matters should be a non issue. As the head of the club, his role is to ensure competent people are in place to carry out their duties. Bowie knows fine well he isn’t qualified in football matters - and that is why he scoured the earth and left no stone unturned in search of the perfect Head of Football Operations. He found this in James Fowler. A man about who Bowie said, “James’ experience for the role is second to none”... Second to none? Sorry. What? Zero contacts and zero experience scouting players. Grossly unqualified. F**king hell Billy! Next time I see one of your Tankers I’ll wonder if the c*nt driving has a license.

  2. This big fella has been outstanding since he came in. A poor window numbers wise but this big lad has been a great find so far

  4. Tremendous today. Think all of us want it to work out for him. Every time he scores we hope he kicks on, hopefully this will be the one. Completely dragged us back in to it today with a determined solo goal and a great penalty. Shame he never got the hattrick, was clearly on the hunt. Has his critics on here so I hope they're as quick to give him praise.

  5. 4700 home fans is decent when it might have been 2700 a couple of years ago. Let’s hope we do enough to retain them next season.

  6. Well deserved three points today and here's a wee message for the Rory knockers on this forum ( you know who you are) G.I.R.U.Y.!,

  10. Time to hear from our Cathy about the failed transfer window. Would also be nice to hear if the Trust board think the “fan on the board” is working.

  12. I often wonder if the whole shambles hinged on 1 CQ goal. When they took the lead at RP that night, at that point I genuinely didn't think they would score again. Next thing Findlay misjudges the high ball, (happens.... and I'm not for one minute blaming SF), pulls their player down and the rest is history. Imagine if we had lost 1-0 that night and scraped through. Yes there would have been disgruntlement at the performance/result but you can bet you bottom dollar that a good crowd would still have turned up for a game v Partizan the following week. Realistically that wouldn't have been a tie which we expected to win, so at least giving them a game and having had a Euro experience would have bought AA some time. Rather, his card was well and truly marked from that horrible night onwards, and the wheels probably set in motion to trigger a 6 month clause. Had he had a bit of space and not been under such pressure immediately, we might well have had a better summer window, with the board genuinely backing him. From there a better overall first few months of the season when the general feel good factor could have continued. Find it much less likely to believe that he would then have been sacked when he was....and we would have entered this window with his contacts, rather than whatever Fowler/Dyers are. We would probably still be sitting around 5th and no doubt more comfortably away from the relegation zone. Who knows, Dyer might have walked as assistant as well, and AA would have been able to bring his own team in. 1 goal.....but what an impact it has ultimately had...

  14. Much needed win to lift some of the gloom. Thought we were the better team for most of the game. Going to sleep and stupid errors cost us in the first half. Probably came back then went ahead in our poorest spell. Got the third and it was never in question from there. Kabamba was very good. A constant threat and great for Brophy to playoff. Great to see both strikers get the goals. I thought the return of McKenzie made a difference. He was everywhere pressing and harrying. Its a start on the road to recovery. A good performance and a vital three points.

  16. It’s honestly f**king tedious that we have to have one player that we slate at any given opportunity. colin nish, Danny Invincibile, tshbola, McKenzie and now it’s Branescu

  18. I don’t often comment on the forums. However I have serious concerns over the running of the club as a whole. It isn’t all about the manager or James Fowler. As a club we are effectively owned by 2 very successful businessmen who have over the years built businesses themselves. No shareholders, partners. Only themselves. They made all the decisions - good and bad, with no one to answer to. They are the decision makers, no one else. It’s in their DNA and as individuals they will never change. They do have the best interests of the club at heart. I don’t doubt that for a minute, but they will never allow anyone else to make decisions. That’s how they have built their wealth and businesses over the years. Continuing with this strategy and business plan will be to the detriment of the club. No one will invest, experienced management won’t take the positions either as they will have little control or say in the running of the club. To sum it up our 2 prominent shareholders have never answered to anyone in a business sense for a very long time and I don’t see that changing any time soon. Furthermore the silence is deafening from Mr Fowler who is meant to be the face of our club on all football matters. Worrying times ahead I fear, with all the current negativity trickling down to the players. Ultimately their confidence will disappear if we don’t get a positive result today. Hopefully we will.

  19. The board have a lot to answer for but that's out of order. Is this how we talk about our own now because things have not been good of late? How long before we've got Killie fans with flares or hiding below cars? It's a game. They are people. When I see comments like this and that other one wishing Broadfoot an injury I can't help but wonder why we think we have the right to look down our noses at old firm fans.

  20. Brilliant news guys! Pure big character so he is! Just imagine the top bants about the place as the lads welcome him back, and he slots seamlessly straight back into some vital positions: the pool team, the WhatsApp group, the ‘watch tv while the gaffer talks about tactics n s**t’ crowd. If you can’t get excited about all that then I’m just not sure you’re a real fan and you need to go have a long hard look at yourself. Also spare a thought for the physio who will have an old mate back to talk to all week while the rest of the team are training/playing darts. Brilliant night lads. I mean, all those other stupid wee teams are out there signing first-team players to improve their chances of staying up. We’re not getting hung up on that bollocks when we make sure the lads are all having a pure laugh and their fragile spirits don’t get dented by relegation and a year of Championship fun. Hooray!

  21. How hard is it to negotiate a transfer window. We on here are no experts but there seems to be a number of things mentioned on here and by people at other clubs in interviews, articles or social media. Planning has to start before the window. In fact it should probably never stop. Head of football and coaching staff in constant discussion. Identify area for improvement. Identify a number of targets for said areas(Peterborough chairman says they usually have three while the Sevilla DoF says they can have up to twenty potential recruits for each position in the team at any one time). Compile dossier on each target and watch them regularly. When the window opens or earlier go and get your target starting at first choice and working your way down. Get them in early to utilise the extra training time in the break either summer or January. The earlier you solve some problems mean you can focus on any others that arise. Maybe keep a wee something back for any surprises that come available at the end of the window. From the looks of it the club have done none of this throughout this window. And probably neglected plenty of other stuff as well. Heads should roll IMO after this from the very top down.

  23. It’s one win so we shouldn’t get too carried away. Today was far better than it’s been for months. Coupled with other results It’s eased a lot of pressure. We can’t turn round and say it’s stopped the rot after one win just like we can’t go the other way after one defeat. We need to go on a run now to counteract what has happened in the last few months. Top six might be out of our reach but we have to get clear of that relegation battle. The squad is light and that will throw up its own challenges with a busy schedule. It looks far better tonight but we are not out of the woods

  25. This is what je gives you, a hell of s lot of effort, he is a nuisance to opposing teams just wish he had as much quality as Burke. But then he would probably not be playing for us if he did. Canny understand the abuse he gets and I suppose its because he is one of us

  26. Desperately need a win for all kinds of reasons. Clearly big issues need addressed but the negativity that was growing was getting unhealthy. Hopefully a win will temper it.

  27. Not sure what else you could expect her to do? She’s organising a written update and there will be a meeting in February along side carrying out her full time job and duties at the Club. To those who say she doesn’t care she points out that she has followed Killie for a long time. Seems she can’t win, either not enough communication or not the right kind!

  30. As someone in another thread said - he left because he felt training wasn't good enough, that players weren't being pushed hard enough to stay fit. A point that Jamie Mac (and others) backed. That manager has now been sacked and the player has bought out his own contract to come back to a club who seem in terminal decline. The guy wants to be here. His partnernship with Findlay is also the best and most consistent we've had for 2 seasons. It might not be a popular signing, but I'm glad he's back to be honest.

  31. It looks like the pent-up anger has been unleashed! And rightly so - I don’t see how anyone can say the squad has been strengthened in the last month. Communication from the club - serious, honest communication - has been sadly lacking. Most supporters don’t want fancy lounges which they will never see the inside of, or to hear that there’s no money because of compensation paid to the board’s vanity appointment as manager, prematurely sacked by them. They want good players on the pitch. If any other club’s return from the window was Bunn, Kabamba and Broadfoot, we would be mocking them. Weak board, weak manager and who knows what the Head of Football Operations does.

  35. Totally unacceptable. Looking for 5 resignation letters in the morning, Bowie, McLeish, Jamieson, Fowler and Dyer. To take us from the best team in Scotland in 2018 under SSC, to the worst in the SPFL in 12 months and do nothing about it is mind bogling. No wonder Bill White and John Kiltie said we can’t work with these imposters and resigned. Shareholders need to step up to the plate at the impending (but late) AGM.

  41. With MJ we had someone taking 7 figures out a struggling club and half hotel while putting in nothing. BB has financially contributed to the club and tried to do the right things. We need to accept he has made mistakes but for trying the right thing. We could do with someone experienced at the helm in the managers seat or DOF role to support him.

  44. The board at Kilmarnock is too small with only 3 members. A 5 person board should be the minimum requirement. We also have a board without a chairperson, which is in itself very odd and shows a lack of leadership. As Cathy is a member of this board, could she or should she put herself forward for the position of Chairperson? It would certainly stir the pot and if she was ultimately successful in her bid perhaps then more dialogue between board and fans would ensue.

  45. Kirk isn't to blame for the board's clusterf**k of a transfer window. He's shown he wants to play for this club and we'll get 100%. The issue is the lack of other activity which should have meant Kirk in for Bruce wasn't a talking point at all.

  46. While the transfer window is shambolic we should really be getting behind the team for 90 minutes as we are in desperate need of 3 points. Getting on the teams back right from the off is only going to harm us, hopefully the players can give us something to cheer today.

  47. The players haven't looked like a team since the first sixteen minutes against a poor hearts side. The transfer window(s) were a joke but the fact we have virtually no players signed beyond this season and they seem reluctant to sign when offered is worrying. The club have failed to build on our best finish in years and totally arsed up the 150th anniversary, come on Billy step up, can't blame Kirsten this window.

  48. I think the board will know exactly where we stand at 1650 today if we lose again. Folk are raging and rightly so. It's not the same as the entitled nature of big clubs fans who expect signings either. These are positions which NEED to be filled. Total incompetence.

  49. Im sure we will have a far better idea in a few weeks time when the freefall continues. I can't think of any poorer transfer windows. The Naismith one was a sickener. We went into the window with the smallest squad in the league, we have somehow reduced our squad size and not addressed the obvious gaps in the side where we needed players. We've had months to work on this. The one signing we make on deadline day is an embarrassment and we are currently 6 points off bottom of the league having not won in quarter of a season. I think it could end up being classified as catastrophic.
