  1. I went into boots the other day and asked if there was anything that I could use to stop the spread of coronavirus and the woman replied "ammonia cleaner" I said "sorry love I thought you worked here.

  4. Scored in the cup game. Tonight it was his Knock on for Brophy to run on to when he hit the post. Set up Brophy for the shot that Lewis saved well. Not perfect but he’s a big part of the team’s transformation and a vital player. Great signing. Let’s not start to get on his back.

  5. Not sure if dyer is the man or alessio deserved the bullet by I have far more enjoyed the games at RP since Dyer took over. We were absolute brutal to watch in the first half of the season.

  7. Nonsense. Other teams manage to cope. We are too lightweight and delicate

  8. Wonderful piece of skill to set him up for the shot when he scored. Only Burke in our team has that touch. We should offer him a contract - we’ve seen evidence of that skill in tue past few games. The potential is still there and his fitness looks good. A real positive amongst recent disappointments.

  9. Two clear yellows especially the second given that Kiltie was lining up to shoot. Abysmal refeering that we have come to expect. All the more annoying given that Power got two of the softest yellow cards you will ever see against Celtic.

  10. Until I read this thread, Broadfoots performance didn’t cross my mind. My issue with the goals was the lack of closing the space in wide areas to stop the cross. This is a consistent thing for us. We aren’t good at it. Apart from the 30 minute period I thought we were excellent and I do enjoy watching Dyer’s team. We just don’t have anything to change a game and if I’m honest, I’m not sure where the blame lies for that.

  12. I was against Broadfoots signing and still don’t really want him but I don’t think he has been that bad. Our full backs are so pish at stopping crosses and it was an issue that we should have dealt with in January. Poor recruitment has killed us.

  13. Tonight was the prime example of what happens when we don't have power in the team. Every time they broke up the park they were able to run straight at our defence who had no protection from the midfield. For me it is looking like Broadfoot has reached the Boyd stage where he has stayed on for one more season than he can handle, which makes it more baffling that we gave him an 18 month contract. For my money Del Fabro gives us more options to bring the ball out from the back quicker as well as a better arial presence at set pieces. Niko was good going forward tonight bringing the ball down when others were booting it out however defensively he was suspect again. Just a shame that we don't really have anyone who can give him a proper break. Not the worst performance by a long shot but feels like a defeat.

  15. I still go back to games like County and Accies at home. Mismanagement of the club has cost us so much this season. No options off the bench, no bufferin terms of points. Couple more points in those games earlier in the season or hold on against Hibs and that's a pretty good result. We've left ourselves in a position where its no use. Next two gamaes are big - team and Dyer need to show that bit more. Still find it difficult to know how much to blame Dyer. Even if we just had Bunn to come on and cause a bit of bother, or Cameron, maybe we get over the line. Can't remember a thinners squad.

  18. I'll try to illustrate with a couple of examples: I've a friend I used to work with - Rory, born to Scottish parents who worked in the oil industry. Rory was born in Indonesia and yet mostly raised in Canada until the age of about 8, before moving back to Scotland. Rory isn't, and never has been, a citizen of Indonesia nor Canada, and holds only a british passport. Neither he nor Indonesia considered him Indonesian. Neither he nor Canada considers him Canadian. He has no more citizen's rights or duties to either nation beyond that of any other "foreigner". Both he and Britain considers him British (well he would probably consider himself Scottish, but that's a different argument). All of that is true both in terms of the sense of identity and legally. In your eyes though, he'd be Indonesian. As another (even stranger) example, Lekovic was both in Yugoslavia. As you're no doubt aware, this is a country that no longer exists. Lekovic cannot be Yugoslavian, but would be in your eyes. If making an argument of what someone's nationality is "officially", where they were born has little practical relevance except as part of the correlation that most people are citizens of the country where they were born - you can, however, make the argument about nationality based on the citizenship(s) they currently hold if you want to.

  19. I'm not sure. Maybe the World Health Organisation, the global financial industry and politicians have got this wrong and it's actually all a fabrication to distract from the economic impact of Brexit. In future, they should consult Boydieisback and Squirrelhumper before making policy decisions.

  20. Not really I’d rather our board conduct a proper recruitment process rather than just give Dyer the job when he’s clearly not the man. However it’s Billy’s baw and he does what he likes.

  22. Thought killie actually played quite well all things considering. Never kicked a ball after they went up 2-0, then Aberdeen never kicked a ball after they equalised. Killie the better team for the first half hour and last half hour. 2 soft goals conceded but played some good football. Throwing away a 2 goal lead is never ideal but not unhappy with the performance.

  23. The Killie TV commentary is rank. 1st time listening tonight. The main commentator is too busy trying to audition for a real gig somewhere else and the co-commentator is just intentionally controversial.

  28. Was having a look at fixtures this morning. If we manage to get top 6, we would be due to be at home to motherwell and celtic, away to rangers, Aberdeen and Hibs. Does anyone still have a bit of belief we could get 4th n qualify for Europe if we win tonight? Aberdeen are garbage (except against us normally) and I think will fall away.

  29. Really enjoyed the 60 minutes where we dominated. Was great to see Kiltie drifting into space all over the park and dragging defenders all over the place. I thought he had a wonderful game. Yet again Kabamba got bullied out of it. Kept trying and it's good to have as an option but he's not physical enough and his first touch at times was terrible. Not doubt we should have won the game but if you don't stop crosses coming in then you are asking for trouble. You can't complain if a full back gets beaten by a nice piece of skill, that happens, but our full backs were beaten far too easily for both goals. It was a shame because the players never gave up and got themselves back into after losing the two goals. As has been said earlier when we needed a sub to go for it in the last 15 mins or so we really didn't have an option we could rely on. It was an adventurous attacking line up and I'm beginning to warm to the idea that Dyer is worth a shot. I never thought I would ever say that after St Mirren but he got his team spot on tonight

  30. A game of three half hours. We were excellent in the opening half hour and deserved our lead. We were as bad as we were good in the middle half hour and completely fell apart. Then we finished very strongly and were IMO the only team that looked like winning. All the positives were in the opening and closing thirds. I thought we looked to have a better balance to the side with Kiltie and Burke wide. It just seemed more natural and less obvious how we would attack. In the opening half hour Brophy was superb. In that middle third I felt Aberdeen tested the referee and roughed us up a bit. We didn’t fight back and they really exploited us in the full back areas. It was sheer stupidity on our part that we were constantly allowing them to get the crosses in and we got what we deserved from that. Again we looked stretched squad wise. We were dominating towards the end but nothing off the bench to try something different. Disappointing result given the position we were in in the first half. Delighted we took something from the game as I did fear total capitulation when they equalised.

  45. It is in the UK Government's interest to create a mass panic for the foreseeable future so they can deflect away from their own shortcomings, make Joe Public forget about Brexit and then congratulate themselves in due course for their management of the "crisis". So sadly I would expect loads of things to be called off so that the impression of crisis spreads. The supermarkets are already rubbing their hands as their old stocks of Sugar Puffs etc start flying off the shelves...

  46. "Allowance is made by the referee in each half for all time lost in that half through: substitutions assessment and/or removal of injured players wasting time disciplinary sanctions medical stoppages permitted by competition rules e.g. ‘drinks’ breaks (which should not exceed one minute) and ‘cooling’ breaks (ninety seconds to three minutes) delays relating to VAR ‘checks’ and ‘reviews’ any other cause, including any significant delay to a restart (e.g. goal celebrations) The fourth official indicates the minimum additional time decided by the referee at the end of the final minute of each half. The additional time may be increased by the referee but not reduced. The referee must not compensate for a timekeeping error during the first half by changing the length of the second half. Many stoppages in play are entirely natural (e.g. throw-ins, goal kicks). An allowance is made only when delays are excessive."
