Walking is not the problem. Gathering is. House parties are. Walking is good for you. If you're following guidelines I don't get why there's an issue with it? There will be people taking exercise for the first time in decades. Covid -19 doesn't stop heart attacks, diabetes and strokes from happening. Those risks are still there and they need to be minimised. People need to move around and they need to breathe fresh air. I don't think it's been a joke in the slightest. Personally I'm over three weeks without coming into contact with anyone bar my wife, kids and a few folk in Tesco. Usually in that time I'm at Rugby Park with 5000 others, playing 2/3 gigs to 200 folk, working with around 100 young people per week, in pubs/restaurants/shops/gym with countless others. Meeting Pals, family etc. Thousands upon thousands of social interactions that haven't happened. Large swathes of the population are doing the same. Hugely reducing the chances of spreading this , or any other , virus. People are doing their bit in my opinion. It's the leadership and management of the whole situation I'd be critical of.13 points

I'm fed up with the media asking about it. Any sensible person knows we won't lift the restrictions any time soon.5 points

Just a thought, if we went to summer football, then we might ( repeat might) if the SPFL had any skill ( doubtful I know) a really good TV deal since they would be able to schedule games for a time when there is no other football. It is a long shot that we have the wit in the positions of power to do such a thing, but Barry Hearn gave us a few decent pointers a few years back. The one that sticks in my mind is Scottish football is more than just the two arse cheeks. Negotiating from a completely new position with brand new ideas of all types considered could rejuvenate the football in Scotland. A proper top league of 16 or even 18 playing home and away. It might help make for more competition for the league, The Glasgow two have generally always been better teams, that's just a fact, but going to Glasgow 4x for any team means they are inevitably giving a head start. It might give even youngsters a better chance to develop. Perhaps regional to save money for two lower leagues, flexible enough to keep balanced and would save teams travel costs and maybe increase gates as less fan travel. Football needs to change maybe this is a chance but could we take it ?4 points

Would the SPL be taking so long to make a decision if Hamilton were bottom instead of Hearts? I think not!4 points

Mentioned something very similar on here a few weeks back. Personally feel summer football is the way forward for Scottish football. Imagine a warm Wednesday night going up to Rugby Park to watch the Killie, 16 degrees in yer shorts as opposed to a Wednesday in December pissing down freezing cold miserable as f**k3 points

Aye but all Doncaster needs 4 OF games a season to make Scottish Football. Nothing sells our game better!2 points

On Hart Island? It's normally used for mass graves (if mass graves can be normal).2 points

Assuming the season would be similar length - ten months, less the winter break - it would run from, say, March to November. The period when there was no competing domestic football would be short, a couple of months, and every other year there would be a major international tournament during that time.2 points

Sorry if this has been done in another topic* The Covid-19 epidemic has presented the SFA/SPFL with a unique opportunity to TRIAL a summer football season in Scotland ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. Heres the proposal.... Finish the current campaign On the assumption it takes till October/November for the authorities to deem it safe enough for fans to attend games - 8 weeks to play remaining League games. 2 weeks for Scottish Cup Semi Finals/Final. 2 weeks for Play-Offs. Total of 12 weeks, finishing in December earliest A 3 month post/pre season break would take us to March for the start of the new 2021 football season. The season would be slightly compressed into 8 months, finishing in October. Another 4 month post/pre season break would allow for a March start to the 2022 season, again compressing the season into 8 months and finishing in early October (allowing 4/6 weeks for international warm up games in advance of the 21st Nov start to the Fifa World Cup).1 point

Time for him to show his appreciation what the NHS did for him by properly funding it and undoing the damage down by his tory chums before1 point

Easter Sunday would be perfect timing for the right wing media to fawn over the resurrection of Bozo.1 point

Advocated it for a while myself. I think it would be an attractive proposition to TV Companies if we had a season finale at a different time to the flagship EPL.1 point

What happens if you reconstruct the leagues and the same thing happens next season? The 12 team. SPL works better with a split than a 14 team league would. If this season is an anomaly, seems a bad move to reconstruct future leagues based on a season that didn’t work out as expected. They should settle it on point average, put an asterisks on Celtic wining it, let Hearts sue them and move on with life. The idea of playing this season in December with teams having different squads of players doesn’t stack up IMO.1 point

@Lroy once this is done, you should suggest a World Cup of best Killie moments. Good engagement in crappy times1 point

My Deputy Head was an Arsenal scout, but rarely went to games although he was quick to claim expenses. One day he was in the staffroom when Bertie Mee, the then Arsenal manager phoned up to ask for a quick resumé of Gordon Smith. My boss had never heard of him, so he turned to me as the only Killie supporter in the place, or indeed in all of Castlemilk and asked for a quick view of Casper. I had no interest in seeing my favourite player sold, so I said that he was a lovely ball-player, but lacked heart in the tackle. This news was instantly relayed to Bertie Mee, who was still on the line and that was the end of Arsenal's interest in Gordon Smith.1 point

It is your internal hatred that causes divisions and it spews out all over these pages. You really are a disgustingly bitter and small minded wee man.1 point

I'm not an SNP supporter but I just don't see and hear this at all. Generally speaking I think Sturgeon has handed the situation well, last Sunday excepted. Also with regards to the old firm game I presume the Scottish government were acting on what medical and scientific evidence was available at the time. I think trying to point score at the present time is quite distasteful and says more about you than anything.1 point

Mind when McLean criticised the UK government over anything? Thought not.1 point

Nobody is saying that. In this Scotland is performing better and the UK can bloody well learn from us. Your absolute refusal to criticise the shambles of WM and throw digs at the scot gov speaks volumes. It also absolutely removes any argument you have at all. WM at all costs for you.1 point

The first series was excellent. The shift in tone in the first episode after the scudding by Celtic was amazing. I live a stones throw from the SoL and it's fun recognising the streets they've filmed on.1 point

QUESTION: "See if a person dies of COVID-19, does the virus die with them or is the corpse infectious?" ANSWER: "The person dies, and the virus starts in League 3 with the same reputation and some people pretend the person is still alive and not infected."1 point

Has nobody died in Scotland? Did the CMO and the FM, in her disastrous backing of her, not risk undermining the key message to the public? The Nats have been straining at the leash to make this another “Scoatland’s better” division.-1 points

Mind when Nicola was going to wait till after the Old Scum game to start the lock down? 50,000 at a game and x thousands in pubs?-1 points

Never said anything at the time because I didn't want to be negative but now the anniversary is all but past...I don't like it, it's far too busy. All three of the logos on the @Lroy post above from August are better...we should've gone with the ball and hand alone for this years top. Just my opinion of course. For the record I don't like our current crest either, and I produced the first digital version of it for the club website back in the day.-1 points

Pretty impressive fighting fund from a standing start. 7k a month from around 230 people, about £30 a month. Given the size of our respective supports, I wonder where we stand at the moment.-1 points
