  1. This reminds me of when non-techies realised you could forward an e-mail. Sad times.

  2. In my era, I'd say Tommy Burns on the playing side, Steve Clarke on the management side, and Bobby Fleeting on the Boardroom side. Pivotal moments in our history when these guys were appointed.

  4. Let’s get Allan Preston to present it. By the end of the programme Hearts will have won it.

  14. My great grandads commemorative Scottish cup cup. Was given to my dad at a young age, he was told it has to only be drank from when we win the Scottish cup (therefore only been drank from 3 times in 100 years) my dad managed to raise a glass in 1997. Hopefully I can share a drink with him soon!

  15. Hi chums, hope you are all staying safe during these hard times. I'm going to put together a "Covid special" fanzine. It will be online only and will be free for everyone to read. However we will ask that if you can please make a donation to Trust in Killie meaning the club will benefit. We are looking for fan articles to get your thoughts about everything Killie related during these unique times. You can write your views on reconstruction, dodgy SPFL votes, what effect all this will have on Killie and even if Scottish football can survive this worldwide crisis. If you have time on your hands then please write us an article, as short or long as you want and sent it to [email protected] Stay safe folks.....YNTTK

  16. Strange request I know, but does anybody have data on the birthdates of our current first team squad. Just want to see if the Relative age effect has any impact on our squad. https://thecorrespondent.com/406/the-curious-tale-of-the-football-international-nobody-ever-heard-of-because-he-was-born-in-the-wrong-month/956291182-abe2ca3e?fbclid=IwAR10Fifxq2kp5ZyuyUI-Y-k0qrIPLKVstzclRHmbt0aIHxCh9kT65B3Q-xc

  17. I'd rather see Willie Waddell running on to hug Frank Beattie, Jackie McGrory joining the huddle like a dafty, and even chairman Bill McIvor joining in than the players having to sprint for the tunnel to beat a stampede of fans. The ones who came on were a very small minority.

  18. Brilliant Allan, that's made my day. My dad has told me all about that season and what it meant to him and the family. I remember my gran telling me of the support of Willie Waddell. ' C'mon Wullie Waddell' was the cry! Brilliant memories for all!

  20. As mentioned elsewhere, for some reason, maybe to accommodate slow bit rates KTV seems to default to the crapest resolution. Just change to max res and the quality is top class. No problem with speed on a land line un Edinburgd.

  21. They really shouldn't have bothered. What with this "tribute" (won it on goal average don't you know, hehehe) and the interview with the DUP MP for East Londonderry about the SPFL investigation, this was not Sportsound's finest episode. Yesterday's picture of Davie Sneddon was a lot more eloquent.

  22. This is the crux of it for me. If football players (and sports more generally) get testing before our front line staff, our moral compass as a country is shot to pieces.

  23. Still basking in the memories of 55 years ago. Celebratory meal (a delivery from “Meena’s Fine Indian”) and an appropriate beverage while thinking back to the team that completed the season as Scottish Champions. Thinking too of those not on the park that day but who also contributed during the season. Sad that so many are no longer with us. A big thanks to the Killie family for another fine effort, with the great array of pictures posted today. KTID

  27. Revisiting some of the memories of that wonderful day 55 years ago. A couple of pointers to the things I've been revisiting (coping rather better with that strange yellow thing in the sky than I was when the picture was taken) Happy Birthday too, to the legend that is Davie Sneddon and the scorer of the first goal that afternoon.

  33. My late mum was brought up by her aunt ( my"grandma" in Springburn) My gran was originally from Mauchline and worked as a conductress on the Killie trams! but the whole of that family originated from Ayrshire and that is the reason I have supported the mighty since the later part of the 1960's! Guid auld Killie was one of her favourite sayings especially when we won and more so whenever we beat the old filth much to the annoyance of my largely hun supporting relatives!

  36. Likewise what chance have we got when the sunday labour tries to link Nicola Sturgeon missing cobra meetings with the UK death Toll. Absolutely disgraceful SNP bad, union good propaganda. And what chance have we got when folks on here still actually think Labour are the answer. If they are you are all asking the wrong question in the wrong quiz.
