  12. Serious question - how? They can't meet them or see them train for weeks, possibly months. Even at that, they can only see them in small groups. Surely there is no alternative to the reality of that being that by the time a new manager has assessed the squad other teams will have already been doing business? Normal circumstances I'd be after a new manager, I think it's getting more and more risky to change by the week.

  15. Dyer and donati should be gone. Start afresh next season. Donati should be hunted for his constant shagging of Celtic on twitter let alone the fact he’s a s**t coach.

  20. Hopefully this dreadful virus will be overcome ASAP and can get back to enjoying football at RP again.. For many reasons 2019/20 will not be a season too fondly remembered , though did see a few very good results ....looking back this time last year there was so much to look forward as a supporter too even after losing SSC .European trips , chance to build on success etc.....but due to various failures the football and decisions made let us down ...BUT main thing is we are still in top league and hopefully the board have learnt lessons Loans and contracts will coming to an end will mean whenever football does start back in Scotland we will have a very different squad, of those leaving will be some players who will be quickly forgotten and add to likes of Sow and Jackson as strange signings having no positive effect ....but do feel sorry for a number of players who did contribute and gave their all but who will leave the club in this strange way

  21. The last game that was played in the league this season was on 11th March when St Mirren beat Hearts 1-0. At the time none of them would have realised just how important that game was. If the result had been the other way round then St Mirren would have been bottom of the league on goals scored.

  25. We understand that the Club will be getting cloth facemasks in club colours produced in the very near future. If you want a Killie facemask then please buy these ones and do not buy anything that is unofficial and not licensed. The same goes for any other branded goods out there, revenue streams are like hen's teeth at the moment and if you are buying Killie branded goods then it really should be Killie who are benefiting at the end of the day. If you see merchandise that the Club have not got on offer then either get in touch with them or post it here and they can look into doing it themselves.

  26. Niko’s Twitter feed: I just wanted to say thank everyone at Kilmarnock (the fans of killie, my teammates, coaching staff, medical staff, media team) for a loan experience I’ll always be grateful for and will never forget. Thank you guys @KilmarnockFC Thoughts on his departure; big loss or not be missed. Big loss in my opinion as certainly one for the future.

  27. Agreed. Now with the league being concluded we should at least put out the vacancy call. And start approaching manager's thru video call. Then once a new boss is appointed they can then decide who to keep and who to chuck. Happy for Dyer to stay but Donati can get lost.

  28. Yup, the entire UK probably the worst country in Europe for Covid deaths but all the governments crowing about how well they have done to cover up their incompetence. Pushed into third of fourth place by Russia, Brazil and the runaway competition winners the USA. It seems the worse the country is doing the more they trumpet how weall they are handling it. Crowned by the bulls**ter in chief himself, The Trumpet.

  29. Nicke Kabamba makes Kilmarnock prediction as he reveals Alex Dyer's greatest quality Nicke reckons Kilmarnock are destined to do great things again under the leadership of Alex Dyer. The striker believes the extensive managerial qualities of his fellow Londoner give the Ayrshire outfit every chance of getting back into the higher echelons of the Scottish game in the near future. Dyer was assistant boss to Steve Clarke at Rugby Park when Killie charged into third spot in the table this time a year ago and is now the main man after the departure of Italian Angelo Alessio. Killie chiefs are keen to give Dyer the opportunity to extend his stay in the role into season 2020-21 and Kabamba would not argue with that plan for a single second. The 27-year-old has lifted the lid on the skills of the Scotland No.2 having seen his confidence soar within just a few weeks of working for him. Dyer signed Kabamba in January on an 18-month deal and the payback was instant with goals in his first two games against Queen’s Park and Celtic contributing to a four in 12 ratio before football’s shutdown. The-ex Portsmouth hitman puts his ability to hit the ground running in the Premiership down squarely to Dyer and said: “The manager is right up there in a variety of ways. “In terms of man-management, he knows just how to get the best out of individuals. It’s an old saying but some players need different things to get motivated to be at their best. “The fact he is the one who gave me this opportunity at Kilmarnock and played me straight away is a big bonus for me. “When someone like that gives you a chance, you feel as though you have to take it with both hands and I feel as though I have done so as best I could. “He has boosted my confidence and he motivates all of us. “If you have a manager like that backing you, you are destined for great things.” Dyer built his connection with the squad as Clarke’s lieutenant and Kabamba continued: “You can speak with the gaffer and he’ll always tell you the truth. That’s what you want. “We finished third in the league a couple of years ago and the club has that mentality to achieve success. “I’ve always wanted to be part of a winning team. If you were to go into our changing room, you would feel that amongst everyone.” Kabamba has settled instantly into his life at Rugby Park and says the openness of his team-mates has been crucial. Although apart at the moment due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the Killie squad are maintaining their spirits with a steady stream of Zoom calls. Kabamba said: “The calls are so funny, especially with people just cutting their own hair. Some have cut all theirs off. “Others have gotten their partner to get the No.1 out. Everyone will be almost bald when we come back for training. “Seriously, the calls are really important because you get to speak to everyone and see how everyone is. “We are missing the togetherness.” As well as team-mates, Kabamba has been blown away by the warmth of the people at all levels of the club. He added: “The set-up is brilliant. Everyone is so welcoming and I’ve felt at home immediately. “When you move to a new area, it’s important to fit in and the staff and players has been brilliant. The camaraderie is fantastic and it hasn’t felt like a transition in life because everyone has made it so easy. “I’ve been fortunate in my career that all of the clubs I have been at I’ve managed to fit in and it’s a key factor. “It’s part of football to have big characters in every dressing room, but it’s the togetherness we have and the morale which is really special.” https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nicke-kabamba-makes-kilmarnock-prediction-22029134

  31. A wee bit severe there? Eric was certainly better known for missed opportunities than hitting the net when he played up front. I do have fond memories of a game when he scored twice in a 4-0 win, mind the memory may have been embellished by the opponents of the day - Celtic. Sadly that day had us all buzzing in anticipation of our next game, at Ibrox in a Scottish cup semi-final. Our opponents were Dundee and Killie barely turned up and got a mirror image of the score.

  32. Point being, if the situation worsens and we can't even play behind closed doors until January then we will need to free up every bit of money we can - as will most of the other clubs. I don't think it will get to that, but I do think the clubs will all wait until things are clearer before making moves. I get the feeling this transfer window could be a bit of a grubby experience. Clubs taking risks to sign players up before their own club can commit to it, etc. I see Rangers are already sniffing around Lewis Ferguson when you'd expect Aberdeen might have to accept less money.

  36. I’m mixed about this. Part of me thinks we would have had enough in us and finished about 8th. I am breathing a sigh of relief as well though as I’m not 100% convinced we wouldn’t have hibsed it and got dragged into the dogfight. The St Mirren game the weekend everything stopped was massive.

  41. What you talking about, using "magic"? They had 13 years to come up with actual policies, or even the shape of a plan. Might we have been better putting Sooty n Sweep into power? NuLabour's 'vision' excluded actually making things. The leadership never said or showed he believed in the workers that put them in power to make things better. Folk don't want handouts, they wanted jobs, but negative messaging saw fathers telling their sons manufacturing was all over, lots took early retirement and owners sold out rather than buy new machinery and invest in the future. Brown fawned on financial power and worshipped it's excesses. Capital will be safe with Labour, he told the boardrooms and returns were guaranteed for the companies owning water, nuclear and train companies. Profits were privatised instead of being reinvested in the country ...but the City's fallibility was proved in the crash, when losses were gleefully socialised using our taxes, our gold and our pensions. They did nothing for the working man or woman and that is why they're in the s**tter for now and the foreseeable future.

  42. Your beloved Labour representatives would never cosy up to Trump or Murdoch, would they Mclean? You are a hypocrite. I copied in the last couple of pics with Blair & Bush to remind you that it was the Labour party who started an illegal war & flung the whole world into turmoil which still persists today. Trump becomes Scotland ambassador Mr Trump will join the the Globalscot network to promote Scotland US business tycoon Donald Trump is to become an ambassador for Scotland, it has been announced. It came as the billionaire New Yorker ended a three-day visit to Scotland in which he promoted a £300m golf course he plans for Aberdeenshire. After accepting an invitation from First Minister Jack McConnell, Mr Trump will join a network of influential people who promote the country. Mr McConnell said he was delighted the tycoon had taken up the offer, adding: "This is a good bit of business for all concerned."

  43. I think they all started off with "herd immunity" as the objective. Then they all saw the figures on projected casualties and the prospect of people being turned away from hospitals because there was no space and totally shat it. Now they are looking at the economic impact of their actions and crapping themselves over that. I think right now they are all well out of their depth. The only difference between the UK and Trump is that Trump is less good at covering up what an inadequate cretin he is.

  44. But the correct decision was made, right? And they're still getting jip for it, all because of your seethe for the SNP!

  45. You probably think you've posted a zinger but there's one flaw in this, the game didn't go ahead, did it? And the rest of the games didn't go ahead either, after liaising with the government, all domestic matches in Scotland where postponed on 13th March. There was no official lockdown until 23rd March. But some people just can't put bitterness aside to try and make some sort of capital out of this crisis.

  46. Can feel the seethe from here, watch you dinny burst a blood vessel there old man. The SNP hasn't done a fraction of what the Westminster machine has done to our towns, our counties and our country over the past 40 years, you can't put that on them. The reality is the Tories laid waste to production and manufacturing up and down the country and the one Labour government that gave folk hope "things can only get better" did NOTHING to reverse that. Don't you hate that? Two cheeks of the same arse, in hock to the real power, the money men in the City and the guys who live on private islands. And that will never change while they have useful idiots like you to keep the mass delusion alive. Shame on you that you'd rather have a Tory PM in Westminster than a Labour FM in Indy Scotland.
