He was a guy who was our player of the year and played a big role in keeping us in the division. He deserved whatever he got and was better than both of the goalies who played last year. He was a good servant to the club.18 points

Ooft. The one in the middle made me come over all funny. No idea why there's a lassie sitting in front of him though.8 points

As everyone probably realises, Covid-19 is providing many financial challenges to our Club which previously didn't exist. In fact these financial challenges will continue to arise for some time to come and some stark choices will have to be made and the cloth cut accordingly across many departments. With the obvious lack of income since mid-March, it's been great to see our support react so positively by purchasing shares in the Club, signing up to the Trust and also our 'Trust in Killie' campaign, while also refusing, where possible, the option to have last seasons season ticket money refunded. Currently the Trust is transferring £7,000/month to the Club (nearly £73k since the start of lockdown) and this money is gratefully received and prioritised accordingly. The Club more than ever need the backing of our support when the new season ticket sale begins too, in whatever form it appears. I know that a lot of time has been spent working on trying to get a fair pricing package whilst also trying to balance the books. Hopefully word on that in the very near future. The virus has also conspired to delay the physical launch of the new strip but hopefully pre-orders will provide much needed revenue here too. The Trust will continue to work very closely with the Club and do what we can to provide funding, particularly in areas where finances will definitely be necessary to allow supporters to eventually return to Rugby Park. We will, through Cathy's monthly updates, keep you up to speed on what is happening at the Club, where the financial challenges are arising, and what projects we can take on to help ease the burden. If ever there was a time to join the Trust and also, if possible, our Trust in Killie campaign then it is surely now.8 points

The sevco proposal is vile. They expect to chuck money they don't have at teams to get what they want. It doesn't wash and nobody in Scotland from the grass roots up to the national team benefits from the leagues becoming yet more of a two team circus. They really don't grasp how much impact their behaviour has and how little anyone wants them or their twisted sister around. Why in earth would we want to double our biggest problem? When those two actually address their sectarian problem they can have a voice. Until then they should shut up and let the rest get on with it. The best solution for Scottish football would be a 20 team top flight, a 20 team championship and regionalised leagues below that in a clear pyramid. There's very little difference between many championship clubs and the majority of the spfl in terms of fan base etc. No more ridiculous spells of 7 games a a season against the same team. Plenty of variety in who you play. Restores all the main derbies for TV and gate income. Nobody will discuss the best solution as it doesn't suit those two.6 points

McKenzie for me is one of the first names on the team sheet in the big games. We were at our best staying compact and he's brilliant at that role on either side. I can see why he frustrates people in games we should be winning. He isn't exactly lethal going forward, whether or not that's the way he's instructed to play or not I don't know. He's been a very good player for us. I maybe would be tempted to have him sit out certain games to allow us a different attacking threat but you know if he plays he'll do as much as he possibly can for you. He's certainly a good option to have in any squad.6 points

When is Rory McKenzie going to get the recognition he deserves as a first team player. Quality utility players are going to be worth their weight in gold for many teams fighting against the financial consequences of the virus next season. He has committed his career to Killie and gives his all on the pitch, so let's not decry him as a "squad" only member of our team. Kiltie has been so unlucky with his two serious injuries but we all know how gifted he is and we all know he is capable of getting back to his best. He may have to be considered a "squad" player meantime until he produces the form we know he has within him. Millen is a "squad" player.6 points

With all the different league proposals put forward to save Hearts (and none agreed), it was only a matter of time before it got even crazier. Hibs and Hearts want to ground share at Murrayfield to enable them to get bigger crowds, as they will be able to social distance easier. (maybe we should try for Hampden) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52938590 Now Rangers are back wanting them and Celtic to have a B team in the bottom League. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52941423 Seriously getting to the stage when I could give up on Scottish football.4 points

Have a quick look at his performance against *anger* in the last game of 2018/19 season then you'll realise how stupid your comment is.4 points

Tbe, Kiltie almost single handedly kept Morton in the championship during his loan spell. Dunfermline didnt want to see.him come back to us. SC said he had a very important part to play in the future of Killie. They all cant be wrong, there must be something there. Personally I think he is a no. 10 and we need to use him as we used Greg Stewart. But our team under AA wasnt ever going to do that, and AD has went with 2 up top for a chunk of his time.4 points

Thanks Maths! Really appreciate the positive feedback. We had a wish list for the first series and Tom was on it. The Former Players Association has been key to this series happening and us getting iconic players like Tom involved. It is great that, even in the trailer earlier in the week, there was a lot of goodwill for Tom.3 points

Absolutely spot on Higgy, we have absolutely no way of knowing how some people have been effected by the current pandemic, statistics in regards to Increases in the use of food banks and other crisis management facilities point towards the fact that £80 could help people greatly. Also remember that some families did not buy a “FamilyTicket” as they prefer the East or West Stands, therefore refunds could be up to £320 per household. we find ourselves in very strange times, each to their own.3 points

Hopefully they’ll release some smart training gear / polo shirts without a ridiculously large sponsor logo that I can buy. Sounds like I’m in the minority, I actually quite liked last years home top, was the first home top I’d bought for ages. Good to see the stripes back though.3 points

He’s already said in the media that he was offered a contract to “fight for the number 1 shirt” but it was on significantly reduced wages to his current contract which didn’t make the commute from Edinburgh worthwhile. Fair enough in my view.3 points

It is but they are probably legally bound to offer a refund for taking money for a service they can't fully offer.3 points

Glad the club are doing this and for those who desperately need some cash it must be very welcome. Personally that money has long been written off for me and I would rather the club keep it but fully understand if people are struggling. Contrary to views on other threads, I don't believe this is a case of who is the bigger fan. Simply put, if you can afford to write it off it will greatly help the club, if you cant then there should be no issue. Each individual fan will be in a different position financially.3 points

A few petitions and sites that people should consider signing and donating to. Give it a rest, boo boy. That's pathetic. I'm just highlighting he had reached a level that he wasn't worth what he was being paid and he wasn't nearly good enough to be considered for inclusion. He wasn't good enough for a long time. He was replaced by manager after manager for a reason. We got a good period from him when we were a far worse team. We were getting better as he was getting worse, by the time it got to the European qualifiers last season he was even more overweight than he had been previously and he was quite obviously too slow to be considered for top flight football.2 points

Yes, the logo is very antiquated. It might be ideal for their business but unfortunately its not a good match for a football strip. QTS was much better looking - even though practically no one I knew had heard of the company.2 points

I suspect he wasn’t given guarantees of being first choice. If he thinks he can get that opportunity somewhere else then fair enough as he’s a guy who wants to play every week.2 points

Mr Johnston has as much clue what "Get Brexit Done" means now as he had when he became PM, that is, precisely none. He had to throw the Irish under a bus to get where we are and I have no doubt that when push comes to shove he will throw the fishing communities under a bus to protect financial services. Do I think he will somehow manage to preserve "tariff free" trade in order to protect the 6,000 Nissan workers who's jobs are at risk without allowing free movement of workers? Well, ask yourself how many promises he has made that you can think of that he has kept. The UK will be economically buggared by leaving the EU with Northern Ireland still in it and all our fishing rights traded away. But Cummings will be jubilant because we will be free of EU bureaucracy and can wave our union jacks with pride. Not a situation that will go down that well in Gods Own Country. Scotland formed a United Kingdom in order to improve our economic prospects at the price of autonomy. not so we could wave union flags about.2 points

I do wish him well by the way, I hope he does well. My original point was just that we were probably still paying him good money for a player who couldn't get in the team, so it's totally understandable that the club would want to reduce his terms or get him out the door.1 point

how much do you think referees not being swayed by the crowd is contributing to loss of home advantage?1 point

Gillespie best option he was linked with Newcastle. Hes probably the one out of financial reach now that he believes hes been linked with them. Hladky played for st Mirren preety sure he wont be out of financial reach. Rangers is the only club I've seen linked with him and hes too good to benched at the huns.1 point
