  1. I know opinion on Jamie has been mixed on his abilities as a goalie. Personally I liked him will always remember him as a very decent keeper, especially his incredible saves at Perth in the cup game at the end of the match. Off the pitch I found him very approachable, a nice guy. Just wanted to wish him and his family well for the future.

  2. Scotland call up, Umpteen saved pens, one of them being that one at the hunnery. Cruyff turn. Keeping us in games longer than we had any right to be. Just don't play well against us...

  3. The sevco proposal is vile. They expect to chuck money they don't have at teams to get what they want. It doesn't wash and nobody in Scotland from the grass roots up to the national team benefits from the leagues becoming yet more of a two team circus. They really don't grasp how much impact their behaviour has and how little anyone wants them or their twisted sister around. Why in earth would we want to double our biggest problem? When those two actually address their sectarian problem they can have a voice. Until then they should shut up and let the rest get on with it. The best solution for Scottish football would be a 20 team top flight, a 20 team championship and regionalised leagues below that in a clear pyramid. There's very little difference between many championship clubs and the majority of the spfl in terms of fan base etc. No more ridiculous spells of 7 games a a season against the same team. Plenty of variety in who you play. Restores all the main derbies for TV and gate income. Nobody will discuss the best solution as it doesn't suit those two.

  4. After Burke, McKenzie was probably our most consistent performer last season

  5. The penalty save at Ibrox that led to Burkeys equaliser was the catalyst for everything that happened over the next 20 months, the scenes in our section from that night were unforgettable. All the Best Jamie

  6. Club are making up the money to 100% wages which a lot of other employers aren’t doing. That’s a fair commitment IMO.

  7. Every one of your posts are slagging of the club that you say you support. Jog on ya roaster.

  8. Wish people would stop quoting that rocket I blocked his posts ages ago ha!

  9. Exactly this! The Club liaised with the players union on this too. Wages were made up to 100%. Player's had to agree to all this so where is the breach of contract? No one can nip in and sign our players while they are furloughed if they have an ongoing contract. I believe that the current plan is for players to return to training on 15th June so they'll come off furlough then. This is all quite simple compared to other stuff that the Club is having to deal with.

  10. One of the main reasons we weren’t relegated a few seasons ago

  11. If you are furloughed you are still employed so your contract hasn't been broken please do some research before getting on your high horse.

  12. It’s still hard to believe that the Scotland call up was potentially the beginning of the end for him at Killie. Bachmann replaced him that week and we went on from there. When he came in initially he was a massive upgrade on Samson and provided exactly what we were needing. His series of saves in the cup tie at St Johnstone were exceptional. Players times come and go at clubs. I’m sure he’ll have plenty of years left in him at a decent level.

  14. With all the different league proposals put forward to save Hearts (and none agreed), it was only a matter of time before it got even crazier. Hibs and Hearts want to ground share at Murrayfield to enable them to get bigger crowds, as they will be able to social distance easier. (maybe we should try for Hampden) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52938590 Now Rangers are back wanting them and Celtic to have a B team in the bottom League. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52941423 Seriously getting to the stage when I could give up on Scottish football.

  17. The SPFL are a total joke. Does anyone here have the remotest clue what has been "decided"? I know I fkn don't. That numbat Doncaster is getting £388k a year to preside over the most incompetent s**tshow this side of Westminster. Take your fkn old firm colts and ram them up your arse! And Mrs Budge take your bribes and share them with your new pals in the Championship.

  18. The PFA up here appeared to advise against accepting furlough initially but like everyone else as things developed they changed their opinion. Only last week they were begging clubs to do short term deals and keep players on furlough.

  20. A 14-14-18 is a defo no for me. Despise the idea of the colt team the can get to f**k. If i was able to put my own forward it would be 16-14-14 a much more profitable top flight with multiple derbies and rivalries. Not to mention that both the highland and lowland league champs get promoted. And the colt teams can get lost.

  21. I really don't get the meaningless fixtures thing. I can't remember many Killie games where I wasn't bothered if we won or lost. And other teams games are generally meaningless to me unless the result effects us. As for Sevco and their good of the game chat if they got a sniff of moving to England or a Euro League you wouldn't see them for dust and never mind the consequences for everybody else. Stick colt teams where the sun doesn't shine.

  22. I agree with your 18 24 proposal but not binning the league cup as it deprives the smaller clubs , by 50% , the chance of a cup final win or appearance

  23. An excellent servant to our club , But his form had dipped and we need to find better quality he also made it clear some time ago he wanted a move nearer to his home and more of a guarantee of first team football - hope he finds it

  24. Big football clubs didn’t do it as they would have had enough resource to cover wages for a short term period. Us and many other teams don’t have that and if we didn’t furlough the majority of staff, we’d be lucky if we would have even had a football club left as we’d be losing hundreds of thousands of pounds if not more. As I said above I’d be very surprised if the staff at the club didn’t have amendments made to their employment contracts to include the furlough situation to protect the players and club. It would have then been up to the player to accept these updated terms which I’m guessing they did as everyone has been furloughed. This would ensure the terms of no contracts have been broken
    2 points
  25. We won’t have broken players contracts. If like in my case, all players contracts will have been amended to include sections which relate to furlough which the employee will then have had to agree to, to be placed on furlough. If they didn’t agree to this then there would be a situation where redundancy would be an option as the club couldn’t sustain paying 100% wages with no income. I don’t imagine any employee not agreeing to furlough as it guarantee minimum 80% income during this uncertain time, where as if they didn’t they could end up unemployed as their company will likely have folded continuing to pay wages with no income

  28. Good luck to him. I’d have been happy to keep him as backup but he really needs to be playing at this stage of his career.

  29. We need to save Hearts from relegation as that would be unfair. Saving them would be hugely unfair on Cove Rangers, but they don't matter do they? It's all about protecting the vulnerable lower leagues after all. Why that has to involve Old Firm colt teams I don't know. A vote restructuring prize money more fairly would be simpler and cheaper. It seems to me that proposals are only coming from clubs with self interest at heart. This one seems intent on widening the gap between Celtic, Rangers and the rest. Saving Hearts is a nice side effect for them.

  31. Did you hear that clown Miller having another wee dig at us in yesterday's Sportsound. In discussing the problems to be faced in gearing up for the start of the new season, he once again highlighted his belief that some teams would be in no condition to do so, particular examples being St Johnstone ( he doesn't seem to like them either ) and of course Kilmarnock. We do have few players under contract but the advantage of that in terms of ongoing finance exposure is clear. Equally clear is the availability of large numbers of out of contract players looking for a solid team to join. Killie have been in the top Scottish League for 25 years ( despite Miller's annual prophesy of our relegation doom ) and I think an attractive option at this very difficult time. Sportsound is becoming an Aberdeen PR exercise with Richard Gordon, Willie Miller ( failed "O" Level English student") ,Derek McInnes and Dave Cormack being full time employees by the sound of it. Time for the BBC to wake up and for Mr Miller to shut up.

  32. Jamie was a good player for us, the past few years though he seemed unsettled, wasn’t content playing in the West and was vocal about the travel issues and family time. I think that this is the right time for him to move on, no one can say he didn’t give his all when wearing our kit, and for that I have a great deal of respect. Dont think he is strong enough nowadays to be in a team to get us into a Top three or four position, I would think that we will be far down the road to employing a new number 1, I know who I would like, but expect to be wide of the mark so, let the guessing continue. For Jamie, Alloa is just across the Kincardine Bridge and seems a good fit for him. All the best

  38. Mmm. So basically I gave up listening to her. George Floyd was basically executed. Irrespective of his past he was murdered in front of the world. He is a martyr, flaws and all. She is wrong in my opinion. I'm not judging his life. It's the way he died I'm judging.

  39. Doesn't invalidate, does put in a context. She is absolutely saying those things a) for attention and b) to make things more palatable for a conservative audience. Intent in context is everything here, so the biggest pinch of salt possible for reading those comments. We don't need to judge his life in any way shape or form - his death was an entirely avoidable act that has nothing to do with that.

  42. I actually find it quite surprising that very few people have brought this up. Season 2018/19 they started incredibly, around September/October were 3 points clear top of the league. Then beginning of winter Naismith got injured and their form dropped off a cliff. Only an easy draw to the Scottish Cup final last season saved Levein's job for as long. They've been s**te for 18 months and fully deserve to be relegated.

  45. Your having a laugh with that whole post and you're excuse for refusing to criticise the Tory shambles is an absolute nonsense. You have gone full britnat lately, you have subconsciously supported the WM givernment against our side of the. Your absolute refusal to see the constant abuse NS takes from every small minded unionist mororn is beyond belief. The press constantly badger SNP MPs and let the unionists away with speaking total s**te with no.comeback at all. As McIlroy states you simply ignore this as it suits your twisted view of the whole situation.

  46. Your comment on “parochial” is interesting Many of my pro-Indy buddies are more interested in looking to what is happening in comparably-sized independent nation states such as Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and the Baltic states as a benchmark, rather than looking to England or other larger countries. There is much Scotland can learn from the 30 or so independent nation states with less than 10 million population which currently exist in Europe. None of them appear to be doing too shabbily. A post-Brexit UK is as close to the epitome of insularity and parochialism as we are ever likely to see. We should aspire for better, even if there is likely to be a bit of investment or growing pains in the first decade
