  1. 4 Brownings Season ticket holders chose the new strip... and the away one. It was all meant to be released after the last game of the season but Covid has now delayed it with the manufacturers being temporarily closed down. We are doing all we can to get it in the shops ASAP as it obviously helps us start using the sponsorship to the benefit of the company, but it’s all out with KFCs control. We need adult, kids, home and away for sale ASAP but we will take whatever comes first. Incidentally, the area covered by the Brownings logo is the same area as was used by QTS On a final note... some of the personal comments about myself, my family and Brownings have been really hurtful but I’ve been told this was always to be expected. Being a lifetime Killie fan obviously makes no difference in this new social media world that we live in. A huge thanks to all who have supported Brownings through the new strip launch and through my companies retail shops... which in turn helps pay for this sponsorship to our beloved club. YNTTK Posted on Facebook and various social media Killie sites .

  3. Empty barrels make the most noise. Its easy to be critical .But what are they doing. This person and his family are supporting the club. Forget them they are not worth bothering about. Thanks for investing in the club.

  5. What a shambles the game in Scotland is. We have finished last season weeks ago and we still don’t know what the league set up will be next season. Every day we seem to see a new proposal from Hearts, Sevco etc which are always driven by self interest. The season was called, we know who is going down and who is coming up so we should just get on with it. If the season had been played to its normal conclusion there wouldn’t have been any of these discussions. It’s ridiculous to be asking fans to buy season tickets when they don’t even know what they are getting for their money.

  6. Regardless of the cause of these gatherings, i think its an absolute disgrace that these are going ahead at the current time in such large numbers pretty much welcoming a second wave of the virus and another lockdown. Police should be in there with water cannons dispersing the lot of them. Absolute clowns.

  7. I really don't get the meaningless fixtures thing. I can't remember many Killie games where I wasn't bothered if we won or lost. And other teams games are generally meaningless to me unless the result effects us. As for Sevco and their good of the game chat if they got a sniff of moving to England or a Euro League you wouldn't see them for dust and never mind the consequences for everybody else. Stick colt teams where the sun doesn't shine.

  8. Silence my arse. it was all over the news. Social media, print and television. these “protest marches” today are nothing but a slap in the face to the NHS.
    4 points
  9. No never even looked at them no intention to either, people being told they are not allowed to go funerals of family etc but it’s ok for thousands to go protesting without social distancing anyone that was that protest should tell the NHS workers where they were if they catch it black, white whatever see what they think.

  10. Ah that's quite invasive. Not sure what you read but if the virus is active and the swab is taken correctly then a qpcr machine with an appropriate test assay will pick up on it. It is possible that it won't pick up on the incubation period as it hasn't spread round the cells yet. Maybe that is the living in the lungs period? I'm unsure. Killie aren't the only club or business facing this testing issue. As I said it's fast moving so different tests / procedures will follow but I do think there is legs on the club teaming up with other clubs as has been suggested further up but also with other local businesses.

  11. It must be a virus effect or maybe a Cummings effect. Remember the old "when you're in a hole stop digging" Now it seems the new approach is when you are up to your ar*e in the hole dig like f*ck and expect some nutter to pull you out.

  13. Thanks Deserter. The positive comments mean a lot because, although it is a privilege to be putting these together, they are A LOT of work! 1993/94 is definitely not 'done and dusted' from the podcast point of view although the next two series will likely be a long time before the early 90s...and a long time after....

  14. Another excellent episode. The 1993/94 season is one of my favourite seasons following Killie and it brought back a lot of happy memories. Keep them coming!

  16. The personal abuse is bang out of order and can't be condoned in any way, as for the comments about Brownings logo etc, to quote Michael O'Leary of Ryan Air..... "let them say or print what they like, there is no such thing as bad publicity"

  20. This argument does my box in. Of course they do but heres the situation. Black and other non white Americans Re being institutionally disadvantaged. They are stopped by police for non reason and shot, for no reason other than the colour of their skin. Police can be caught on camera beating them to death and the police walk free. So do all lives matter, yes, but sometimes a group or race needs to be focussed upon because of the ill treatment they are having dishes out to them and upon them. Btw I agree on the marches being I'll advised and in effect illegal die to covid laws.

  24. Exactly this! The Club liaised with the players union on this too. Wages were made up to 100%. Player's had to agree to all this so where is the breach of contract? No one can nip in and sign our players while they are furloughed if they have an ongoing contract. I believe that the current plan is for players to return to training on 15th June so they'll come off furlough then. This is all quite simple compared to other stuff that the Club is having to deal with.

  25. If you are furloughed you are still employed so your contract hasn't been broken please do some research before getting on your high horse.

  26. Club are making up the money to 100% wages which a lot of other employers aren’t doing. That’s a fair commitment IMO.

  27. As everyone probably realises, Covid-19 is providing many financial challenges to our Club which previously didn't exist. In fact these financial challenges will continue to arise for some time to come and some stark choices will have to be made and the cloth cut accordingly across many departments. With the obvious lack of income since mid-March, it's been great to see our support react so positively by purchasing shares in the Club, signing up to the Trust and also our 'Trust in Killie' campaign, while also refusing, where possible, the option to have last seasons season ticket money refunded. Currently the Trust is transferring £7,000/month to the Club (nearly £73k since the start of lockdown) and this money is gratefully received and prioritised accordingly. The Club more than ever need the backing of our support when the new season ticket sale begins too, in whatever form it appears. I know that a lot of time has been spent working on trying to get a fair pricing package whilst also trying to balance the books. Hopefully word on that in the very near future. The virus has also conspired to delay the physical launch of the new strip but hopefully pre-orders will provide much needed revenue here too. The Trust will continue to work very closely with the Club and do what we can to provide funding, particularly in areas where finances will definitely be necessary to allow supporters to eventually return to Rugby Park. We will, through Cathy's monthly updates, keep you up to speed on what is happening at the Club, where the financial challenges are arising, and what projects we can take on to help ease the burden. If ever there was a time to join the Trust and also, if possible, our Trust in Killie campaign then it is surely now.

  30. New top looks magic and the logo looks better than an orange QTS over a blue and white top. Whoever is being abusing about you or family can take a flying f**k to themselves.

  31. Thought the general reaction to the strip on these forums has been in the most part positive, with a few individual criticisms but that is expected with any new strip or product as we all have different ideas and you are never going too please everybody either with a new strip or a new pie as for comments on social media , often these come from a small number of sick trolls who spend their miserable life’s spouting vile comments on anything Brownings have financially supported our club for a long time and despite the issues with a previous chairman have again invested heavily and deserve great credit , hopefully when we see this new strip modelled by our new signings It will look the part ......and Then later taking us up the league and on a cup winning run there will be tens of thousands of these strips seen heading to Hampden

  33. Yes it is, but the police stopping a march about police brutality against black people in the US was never going to happen was it ? I don't know if there is actually a public order law that could have been invoked for Covid-19 anyway. In most cases of non adherence to the lockdown the police have only been able to advise people because there is no law in place to cover non-obeyance.

  34. Surely if the club are still paying 100% of the players wages where is the breach of contract? Only difference is once we have paid the player using the clubs money we apply for a grant from HMRC for 80%. The players will see nothing different from their normal pay.

  39. I am genuinely interested what grounds you have to quote this? I have a few colleagues on furlough who would like to use this as a good reason to leave employment without having to fulfill contracts. Any examples from contract law would be appreciated. Thanks

  46. What is the solution to ensure we aren’t well behind others? Sign a whole load of players by the 11th despite having no income, little prospect of income and a pencilled only league start date, Covid containment dependant? I’d rather be in our position with hundreds of out of contract players looking for a gig than having a first team squad already signed up.
