Some people on here just love to give the club a kicking at every turn. In the middle of a world pandemic we were only allowed 2,000 tickets. We argued our case and have now been allowed access to all our season ticket holders. Personally don't really see what else the club could have done regarding that.12 points

Rather than thinking it’s an amazing coincidence that the number allowed to attend this game, matches the number of season tickets sold, I think it shows the club have been fighting hard to make sure everyone who bought a season ticket could attend. I believe the small number allowed in the FB is a response to the club going back to the safety group and saying “if we do away with hospitality and bring supporters in by alternative routes, can we please, please, pretty please be allowed enough in to cover our season ticket holders?”12 points

It's really not. We knew the number was going to be low however if you go back to the first page of this bomb scare of a thread you'll see I said the minimum the club should accept is a figure to cover season ticket holders. Given the state of limbo we find ourselves in as a country on a whole while we wait to find if restrictions are scrapped next month, personally, I think its acceptable and while the club could/should have moved quicker to allocate tickets and created family bubbles etc, I'm not going to spend chunks of my day greeting about it. I'm just glad I can take my lad to his first Ayrshire derby. We may not be able to sit with our pals and we may have to go in a wee bit earlier than we'd like... but on Monday we'll suck it up.9 points

Isn't it wonderful seeing people discussing which one of 2 good goalkeepers we want to play? As opposed to "aw f**k, I wonder what one we're getting this week"7 points

Why would you presume that? Esp when they will try to seat parents & kids together for obvious reasons. I think everyone can just accept whatever seat they’re issued for one game without complaint?6 points

Don't blame the club. This whole debacle just shows that the "science" involved in deciding attendance numbers is a load of s**te.6 points

I think the fact they asked and received special dispensation to use a “small part” of the FB stand shows there was negotiations and they fought to get as many fans in as possible.6 points

If the signing on loan of this lad from Middlesbrough is true it seems very strange to me. He doesn't seem to even have had the experience of Cameron or Connell so what is he adding? If he plays ahead of them surely he's impeding their development and unless he's appreciably better that won't do us any good at all. Where is the evidence that he's going to be better? Even if he does well aren't we liable to lose him in January especially if Middlesborough aren't doing that well in the Championship which is pretty likely to be honest?6 points

Rumarn Burrell has joined Killie after signing a season-long loan deal from Middlesbrough, subject to international clearance. The 20-year-old forward will add to Tommy Wright’s attacking options after arriving in Ayrshire this week ahead of the start of our cinch Championship campaign. Rumarn made his ‘Boro debut in January this year before moving to Bradford City for the remainder of the 2020/21 season. He becomes our second arrival from Boro after the signing of Zach Hemming on loan earlier this summer. The Killie manager said: “He’s a young striker and Paul Stephenson brought him to my attention. We’ve watched him and had good reports about him. “He’s quick, strong and decent in front of goal and will stretch teams as well and he should be fine to be added to the squad for Monday’s game.”5 points

Welcome to killie Rumarn and congratulations for being awarded an HND before you've even kicked a ball in anger for us ( in some peoples opinion anyway).5 points

aws there in 1959, playing for Ayr Albion against their reserves. Was subbed mid-way through the second half when my third successive corner failed to reach the front post. The laced ball was so heavy with the Palmerston mud and I was knaclered! Killiedaft 19574 points

No offence to others who have provided commentary over the years but the news that BBC man John Barnes will become the home match commentator on Killie TV will bring some much-needed professionalism to that position. https://kilmarnockfc.co.uk/news/john-barnes-joins-killie-tv/3 points

They never said that the budget was the same as last season. They said " the budget we had set will stay in place " That budget is equal to the prize money for finishing 10th in the Premier League. This info is contained within the documents sent out for the A.G.M. and is on the web site3 points

There's a difference between not getting excited by the signing and writing him off before he's even pulled his (seemingly oversized) shirt on though. That's the part I never quite understand. I have zero knowledge of this boy - didn't know he existed until two or three days ago - but don't see the point in writing him off immediately. There's also the various times now that TW has said one definitely in and hopefully two so I don't think he sees the young lad as the messiah either but they've been suitable impressed to get him in as another option. On the other point - whilst absolutely fair to say the success of our loan signings has been, emm, mixed, it's worth remembering that TW has only brought one forward to the club since he arrived and that guy did okay. Not a go at you as such mate - just a general observation on the post.3 points

Might have scored 3 to his 2... not exactly talking about a couple of club legends here. As I say I wish the lad well but we have had what feels like a conveyor belt of these young guys from English clubs on 6 month or year long loans only for them to do nothing but deny a place in the team or on the bench that could have gone to our own youngster3 points

You have to question some fans on their expectations on the type of player a championship side in Scotland can attract. People having a hissy fit for writing off Cameron because he has come through our youth system but it’s ok to write this guy off. Based on TW comments Burrell attributes are exactly what I would be looking for in a striker.3 points

From CJ latest Killie trust director’s update “There have been many questions about the process for deciding on numbers in the stadium. The position is that the Local Authority makes the final decision for any number above 2,000. In practice, there is a Safety Advisory Group, which includes representatives from the Council, and Health Board officials, who consider all the information available. The stadium is also inspected and there is a look at the detail of all the safety plans and procedures that the Club has in place. So while on the surface we might think that a simple percentage calculation would be done based on the overall seating capacity, in actual fact there are more complex processes around, for example, the social distancing requirements, and the flow of people entering and exiting the stadium, etc. In the East Stand, the seats and rows being so close together has impacted on this, while in the Frank Beattie Stand there are issues about the access routes to toilets as well as turnstiles. I understand the frustration of fans who are seeing other events where there is seemingly little regard for social distancing or attending other stadiums where it appears rules have been interpreted differently. Our Safety Officers have been in constant dialogue with the authorities to help maximise the numbers allowed in safely, which is what we all want to see.” https://www.thekillietrust.com/monthly-updates/july-2021?fbclid=IwAR2bmIyFPxROZpdbGuzrjwz5-zgS3iAmDCaeKFQbepR9Pmhyzcb7ZpK-Oek3 points

My ST is in the FB stand and I don’t expect to be sat in that stand never mind seat. But I would expect my 11 year old to be sat next to me as normal when we get confirmation. If that means we are allocated your seat and the adjacent one so be it. I’d hold the same view if roles were reversed by the way - I don’t expect preferential treatment but common sense dictates not all ST holders with kids ST holders bought the Moffat St offering yet still need to be sat beside each other for these type of unusual fixtures. But I don’t think anyone should presume they’ll be allocated their own seat as I appreciate the admin team have a tough job on their hands sending out these invites. If it transpires they don’t / can’t have parents and kids sat together I expect the attendance would reduce quite a bit. Lets wait and see, we might get a comms by tomorrow.2 points

Like with the 2 keepers, I’ve never heard of the guy, but I’m sure he’ll be a massive improvement on what we had last season (Lafferty aside)2 points

This sums up why Scottish football will be stuck in the dark ages. Cove could have stood together with Falkirk and in terms of sporting integrity pushed for a cancellation but no. They hope it will give them an advantage, I hope that Falkirk scud them and at some point during the season they fall foul to covid protocols. Karma being a b1tch. What ever happened to the SPFL being about the clubs? Seems like the committee running deliberately go out of their way to punish clubs, nothing learned from last season. But look weegies have teams in the lower league that helps everyone?????? Dawn of another season to look forward but not SPFL stuck lining their pockets and pi55ing off it’s members. Can Falkirk not claim to play a glamour friendly?? And postpone the cove match? It works for some.2 points

People these days can get news from the mainstream and social media and there is little the traditional programme can provide which is exclusive. This magazine sounds like a good alternative and I look forward to reading the feedback. I won’t be dumping my collection of historic Killie programmes anytime soon though!2 points

Because he was never blessed with blistering pace, he used his head and intelligence to have a superb career.2 points

Of course if he did that then I'd be delighted but it doesn't look likely does it? If, miraculously, he was in double figures by January and we lost him that would be a serious disruption to a promotion chasing side. I think the disruption that the loss of Stewart caused is easily underestimated due to the fact that we were managed by a genius who adapted the style of play (to the detriment of the entertainment factor) to get results. And no, I'm not willing to put TW in the genius category just yet!2 points

Update from the latest Trust report , in regards to coverage this season on KTV ## We’re committed to covering all Killie’s home matches in both the league and cup competitions on Killie TV. Not only will this mean that international fans can continue to watch the team, but we also know that we have some supporters here who may still be unable or who may feel anxious about returning to the stadium during these times. “All matches in the Scottish Premiership are filmed with a minimum number of cameras to fulfill the contract for Sportscene and other programmes but this is not the case for the Scottish Championship. We have hired QTV, to handle our matchday production for home league matches. “In the top flight, 11 of the 12 teams shared the same streaming partner and so both clubs benefitted from the availability of match pictures from the league’s production partner. “Things are slightly trickier in the Championship, which moves me on to our plans for away matches, which we are still finalising. If our away matches are selected for live broadcast by BBC Scotland then we will be able to broadcast both pictures and commentary for subscribers. “If an away match is not selected by the BBC and the home club uses the Pixellot AI camera system, then Killie TV will simply provide live commentary for subscribers. Fans who wish to watch the match would have the option of buying pay per view from the home club.2 points

I think perhaps you have been on it. Hearts were also on 2000 and like us they got an increase. They got 4500. Unlike Killie though, they reapplied for another increase as did, Rangers and Celtic. They were all granted the increase in their attendances. Did Kille go back and ask for more?2 points

John Barnes coming in will be a great addition to Killie TV after Andy Bargh decided to move on to pastures new. One of the best commentators about in my opinion and he will be a joy to listen to. Gav has never been the lead commentator for home games. In my opinion he’s the best stadium announcer in Scotland and certainly far more than a fan with a mic, He is used on a regular basis on open all mics on the BBC as a as well as Andy was. I don’t understand why Gav receives the levels of criticism that he does. He does so much for the club and doesn’t deserve some of the personal stuff that’s sent his way especially given he goes out his way to engage with supporters. Ask any of the ex players on Killie TV what he’s like to work with. I have know him for over 25 years and probably the most passionate Killie fan I have ever met.2 points
