THE data has been collected and the numbers have been counted and verified.

A Supercomputer has predicted the result of the Scottish Premiership title race, hot on the heels of leaders Celtic losing their first league match of the season.

Ange Postecoglou's side slumped to a 2-0 defeat to St Mirren and Rangers, by virtue of their 2-1 win over Dundee United a day earlier, closed the gap from five points to two.

It's the closest the title race has been since Celtic emphatically triumphed in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

It's early days yet with only seven matches played but heading into the international break allows for us to take stock and analyse what we've seen so far.

MyBettingSites’ new Supercomputer predictions encompass not just who wins the league - but also who goes down to the Championship.

Their perditions have been forecast using a range of informative outright odds markets to formulate what the final table will look like.

And they've got CELTIC still coming out on top, with Rangers in second.

Suffering from relegation in this instance would be Dundee United while Kilmarnock would head for the play-offs.

Hearts are estimated to finish best of the rest above Edinburgh rivals Hibs. Aberdeen are slated to end the season in fifth, missing out on European football.

..... only the most 'rose-tinted' would argue with that ?
