  1. I am with you Beaker71. Our football club has been more successful wearing stripes. So it is a no from me.
  2. Why not encourage people to buy at the early bird price and up until the early bird cut off date but charge £425. The discount you would receive becomes your payment to the membership scheme. The club benefits by greater revenue earlier and produces a database. No one therefore pays more than the £425.
  3. He was moved to the right towards the end of the first half when St J brought on Mclennan as Danny was ripping there left back each time,
  4. You should have challenged Phyllis's answer as it did not really address the question.
  5. That was 3 seasons ago therefore , though true, in no way does it relate to the potential opposition we would face this season.
  6. I have , this season, watched a fair bit of Championship football and come to the conclusion that over 2 legs we would beat any of the contenders.
  7. You appear to see things nobody else in the stadium sees. I suspect you do not actually go to the games. Your pleasure is in picking up on other posts and stating the opposite.
  8. He did make at least 3 reflex saves in the first half.
  9. Time for optimism, the last time we beat Dundee United in the Scottish Cup We Won it. Keep the faith.
  10. Why not have Burkie and Craig Clark
  11. Having read through most of the posts since the game ended and having been at the game my comments are thus. I agree with almost all of the posts however, I think had the sending off not happened we would still have seen the same type of game. They never lost their shape through out and hit on the break. That is how they play even with 11. They are not a much better team than us DM has the opportunity to add quality this month to help us. Overall, a missed opportunity.
  12. Peppered the stand, the corner flag, the wee ned in row z.
  13. why don't you pick up the phone tomorrow and ask him.
  14. Much has been written on these pages regarding the managers ability to take the team/club forward. Comments made, good and not so good, by all and sundry but well meaning. I think most fans of our club can see the flaws in the players we have and I am certainly sure that the manager is much more aware of weakness in them than we do. We are saddled with a number of players who are not the answer to producing better performances consistantly. The player selection tombola that many talk about may be forced on the manager by many things but the call for him to be sacked would see us enter again into a Managerial tombola. From a time towards the end of Jim Jeffries tenure until now and with the exception of Mixu's time, Kenny Shiels winning the League Cup and the 20 months of SC our club has had little or no stability on the football side. We have a manager with a track record of relative success, quoted previously for many jobs bigger, turned Sevco down and was touted as a potential Scotland boss. We have a coaching staff bigger than before but not I would suggest bigger than clubs of a similar size. We now have an internal infrastructure and a Recruitment manager all there to assist the boss and help take the team and the club forward. BB and PM have given him the financial support and we should all be grateful for their financial commitment. Money talks in football DM had better players at Aberdeen because they could afford them resulting in a number of 2nd place finishes and cups semis and finals. I did not rate Goodwin as a tactical genius at St Mirren but he has been able to buy better players at Aberdeen and got some very good results. His tactical inability is exposed in his losses. We are where we are on the field until the next transfer window opens. As a support we need to get behind all the players on the field, support them as much as we can. The objective, as it always has been this season, is just to stay up. If we can achieve this better days I am sure are ahead. We are Better Together.
  15. Wrong, back 4 going forward Armstrong dropping back when out of possession.
  16. The better footballing side lost, The more clinical side won. The boys more than matched Montrose and it was encouraging to see their confidence on the ball. It could have been out of site in the first half but not to be. Be proud of most of the performance but need some shooting practise.
