  1. Hello everyone. IT have been investigating this matter for me over the past few days. They are still monitoring developments but this is what has been found so far. I’ve been sent a list of 14 invalid emails addresses thatve tried to sign up & so haven’t been receiving the newsletter. Those who’ve sent on their emails to me so far, yours are not on this list. So, for anyone who has signed up fine & had the confirmation message to state they have subscribed but is still not receiving the newsletter, the following resolution has been recommended. IT believe users may find a fix ‘by contacting their email provider and asking them to check for any blockages/rejections/bounces for emails from: [email protected]. If on a spamming blacklist they should request removal as a legitimate email sender and one requested with full consent from the user’. If you try this and theres’s still no joy, please let me know. For anyone who has encountered an error message when trying to sign up, it’s been advised that you leave it for a couple of minutes and then try inputting your email addresses again. Failing that, open the sign-up page in a different tab and it should eventually succeed. I’m sorry for the information overload here - I’ve tried to break it down as best I can. If there’s any confusion or any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The support I’ve received with this project has been outstanding and I’m very grateful for every sign-up so far. Out of all the clubs the Herald are covering with these newsletters, my Killie one is way out in front in terms of subscribers. Any help in keeping it going and building upon a strong start would be amazing. Not far off the first target of 500 sign-ups. Thanks 💙
  2. Thanks for the kind words & support, glad you enjoyed!
  3. Sorry about this guys. I’ve had a few messages to say the emails have been landing in the junk inbox (seems to be an Outlook/Hotmail issue). I’d recommend checking there and if the email is there, move it to your inbox and eventually your email provider will realise the sender is safe and it will start coming to your inbox. Please let me know if this rectified the issue for you. If you’re not seeing the email in your junk then I will endeavour to find a solution to this when I speak to IT upon my return to work on Monday. If you PM me your emails that would help, and I can also send across this interview with Deas.
  4. Got an exclusive interview with Robbie Deas to share tonight 🔵⚪️ Be sure to sign up via the link in the original post to read it for free after 6pm. 📧 We cover: ◻️ Positional preference ◻️ Dropping to the bench ◻️ Brad Lyons sparking inspiration
  5. Here is last week’s newsletter for anyone who has not signed up yet. The next entry will be sent out tomorrow at 6pm. Just a reminder that it’s totally free and simply requires an email address. All the support received is greatly appreciated! https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/23848318.criticism-kilmarnock-captain-kyle-vassell-top/
  6. Apologies about any issues folks, unsure why that is but I’ll look into it. I’ve been made aware that those with hotmail accounts are finding the piece is landing in their junk (probs where it belongs tbf 😂)
  7. *Audible boos heard from the East Stand* I will post my piece on the Herald website tomorrow so that those who haven’t signed up yet can get an idea of what it’s all about. That won’t be happening going forward though as it defeats the purpose of getting people to register for the newsletter in the first place. But just to help drum up as much interest as possible I will for the first week or two. As I said in my introduction last week, the more sign-ups, the better for my future coverage of the club. Thanks to KillieHippo and Bellman for your support! Glad you enjoyed
  8. Just a reminder to anyone who has not signed up yet, the next entry will be sent out at 6pm this evening. Enjoy!
  9. Thanks everyone. The response has been very encouraging. Sign-ups well above 200 so far, hopefully that continues to rise over the coming days ahead of next week when things really get started!
  10. Thanks folks. Very appreciative of the support shown so far. First entry should’ve landed in your inbox by now 👍

  12. The club have made their feelings known to the SFA 👍 Kilmarnock have gone to the Scottish FA to raise their concerns over the use of VAR. Herald & Times Sport can reveal that the club is seeking clarification regarding the handball incident involving St Johnstone's Andy Considine on Saturday. The experienced centre-back flapped at the ball inside the Saints area after a cross from Jordan Jones. However, Killie was denied what appeared to be a stonewall penalty. Joe Wright went up for a header as he looked to score his second of the game - that finished 1-1 at Rugby Park - as the ball struck Considine's hand, which was raised high above his head. Despite a good view of the incident, referee Chris Graham waved the play on. A VAR check for a potential penalty then took place. After a rough three-minute review by Mike Roncone at Clydesdale House, it was concluded that no infringement occurred. Graham was not advised to check the pitchside monitor, as the Premiership encounter continued. It is understood the Ayrshire club has made their disapproval clear to the SFA after the weekend action. They've become the latest top-flight club to address a VAR issue with the governing body of Scottish football. Other major talking points from the game at Rugby Park were Kyle Vassell's disallowed goal for handball, as well as Rory McKenzie's claim for a spot kick. Derek McInnes was left to lament VAR in the aftermath of the game, insisting his side get "zilch" from the technology. He said: "On the decision with big Andy Considine. He was like that to me, 'I don't know how I got away with that'. He knew right away it's hit his arm. It's fully extended. "I asked the referee, 'Why were you not asked to look at that?' He told me VAR said they had checked it, and there was no need to look at it. "For our disallowed goal, the fourth official tried to explain to me during the game when he said the ball had hit Kyle Vassell's arm before he put it over the line. He said any player who handles the ball and gets an obvious advantage for a goal has to be penalised. "I haven't seen the Rory McKenzie penalty claim again. I actually thought the referee had a decent game. But it's like VAR was brought in to help and aid the referees, and give them that chance to have a second look at things. "I think we seem to be looking at so many things that aren't needing to be looked at again, and so many things we should be looking at again, particularly that penalty kick. "It's frustrating. You hear Ange Postecoglou and whoever talking and almost scoffing at VAR as if they get nothing. While we, if you look at it, have had zilch. Honestly, it's ridiculous. We don't seem to get any breaks at all. I thought we performed well. Saints are notoriously hard to play against." https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/23398130.kilmarnock-raise-var-concerns-sfa-handball-flashpoint/
  13. Believe Fowler was in doing some coaching work with Rangers' academy. That was a few months back so unsure if he's still there.
  14. I see where you’re coming from. Don’t feel I placed that much emphasis on the point though ? anyway, least we got a draw from tonight considering the position we were in.
  15. All entitled to our views, fair enough if you feel that way but I still think it’s accurate to suggest that there’s a fair few more who come into that category. Also, I didn’t mean that every single player signed by TW was sub-standard. But there’s no doubt that some of the deals have placed greater restrictions on McInnes’ budget. Not the players’ faults, good on them - of course they’re gonna sign the most financially secure contract for themselves.
  16. Just wanted to say thanks very much for the response to my piece. I hope I represented the fan base well, that was certainly my goal. Hopefully the next one is far more positive ?
  17. Not at all suggesting that. Merely pointing out that he’s under investigation therefore we don’t know if the club deem him guilty or not yet.
  18. I have no personal preference on what course of action the club decides to take on this matter at this stage. Before commenting on what’s right and wrong I think we need to hear their findings first. This is in no way intended to be a defence of what Lafferty is accused of, but are we not meant to live in a redemptive society? It remains to be seen whether he would apologise should he be found guilty, but say he does and he publicly speaks about the consequences of his actions, the unacceptable nature of his remarks & the damage it has caused, is there absolutely no scope for him to redeem himself? This would of course be on top of a hefty fine & likely a playing suspension, so obviously I’m not suggesting he gets away without punishment. Far from it. A recent example of this was with Kurt Zouma at West Ham, although obviously different circumstances. Fully appreciate there will be many who probably don’t see this argument, just trying to provide some balance.
  19. Manager says there’s a couple of knocks from Wednesday. Ideally if everyone turns out okay, Power in for Donnelly. Rest of the team stays the same.
  20. Could well be right. His distribution with the ball so far in the cup games has been very poor. Needlessly slack. You’d have to imagine against better opposition that could potentially become a major issue. That said, he rarely misses a defensive header & is a massive threat from set pieces. Probably prime candidate to become captain for the new season too, so I doubt he’ll miss many games unless injured/suspended.

  22. Think an understated high point was the night we went top of the league in December 2018 against Livingston. The realisation that we topped the pile, even if it was only for a few days, was unbelievable. Loved all the attention we got off the back of it. Certainly from a personal POV, celebrating at FT with my papa and brother is something I’ll not forget. Too many lows to mention but part and parcel of supporting a club like Killie. Wouldn’t change it.
  23. Another two renewed tonight.
  24. Players return not this week coming but the following week, towards the tail end. That will have been around 6 weeks off for them, give or take.
  25. A new third kit is on the way, but they’re keeping it on the down low for now. I’ve not seen it although been told it looks class.
