  1. That’s class - fair enjoyed that
  2. That was my take also. Cut him a bit of slack as it was his first game but he was completely anonymous, out of position and blowing out his arse any time he attempted to run.
  3. Power and new striker had two very good chances missed
  4. Only Queens Park but I’m convinced if that game had been played a month ago we would have scraped a win at best. that today is exactly how the CQN game should’ve gone. new boys looked decent, thought kiltie came into it second half and really hope he kicks on. Burke amazing and big Findlay makes some difference. think if we could make two more decent signings this window and get some of our current players signed up on new deals then it would be good business and certainly achievable.
  5. Agreed but if our support don’t show up for these games or even other games then the boards bold move will be severely tested.
  6. I turned the game on just as he was being subbed and that wee helmet Alex Rae gave him a very critical review. So pleasing to hear.
  7. Such a waste - could be strutting his stuff being idolised by us idiots.
  8. Heard tonight Brophy is carrying an injury and is a doubt tomorrow. Anyone else heard this?
  9. From what I hear the huns are beginning to rate him
  10. Generally hate negativity and tried not to add to it but is anyone else a bit dumfounded by us allowing Thomas to go when we are clearly seriously lacking attacking options? I'm not saying he's a top player for us or anything like that BUT with what we have at our disposal at the moment he is most certainly an option. 1 or 2 injuries and this will look even more ridiculous.
  11. Surely to f**k it was more than 1.25mil. If not, then perhaps our finances are not as rosy as they are being painted by the board.
  12. Still not answered what it is they don't like about the trust other than apparently some of the members supported that NAPM campaign.
  13. No surprise at the 6 months considering our manager is only on a 6 month deal. all the best to them both though. Hopefully it’s a successful 6 months
  14. If Griffiths has been told he can go on loan he will be pushing for Hibs, cant see anyway he'd come here. Edinburgh may be a bad environment for him right enough.
  15. Story I heard (I believe the source was decent) said BB liked Moore and PM preferred AA as a more exotic appointment. Another reason I thought there may be substance to it was that whole story about BB having to leave the AA interview early, possibly he never made the final call....Who knows.
  16. I heard he was very close to becoming our boss in the summer but one director wanted AA instead.
  17. I took it as a sign when many people on here claimed he was signing weeks ago.
  18. I don't believe the board are fully to blame for the poor uptake in support since we took a stand off the OF. I heard Bowie had hoped/banked on us seeing a 1-2k increase on ordinary games to offset the "loss" from OF revenue. If you take away the freebies in the Moffat stand, the increase hasn't been great. The game next Wednesday could be pathetic in terms of home crowd numbers.
  19. Still never forgiven that wee rat Ole doing it to Rob Lee many moons ago. if it’s your player you are praising him all day long, especially if it wins the game. Knowing Killie the other team would score the free kick and win. If memory serves I recall Leigh Griffiths doing that to us for hibs at RP and Celtic away when pasca got sent off. Probably many more.
  20. And some folk see a negative to these types of things..... really can’t get my head around that logic.
  21. Sat at in the North bank at Highbury watching Arsenal v Newcastle, Shay Given was unbelievable in goals. It could easily have been 7 or 8 nil but I think it ended 1 nil. I remember Thierry Henry going straight to him at the end to congratulate him (even though he lost).
  22. Even the most pessimistic of us would've struggled to predict the situation we are now in at the point SC announced he was off. Spectacular fall from grace.
  23. All this where is the money stuff is slightly exaggerated also. I doubt a club our size are able to simply splash the cash regardless of what extra income we have brought in this season. One big example of lost revenue that no one likes to raise is BB's very bold move to remove one stand from the huns and tims in the hope that our fans would back him by turning up in increased numbers, that hasn't really materialised so we will need to factor in that loss in "normal" revenue each season now.
  24. I can only speak from personal experience and towards the end of my amateur "career" I had and still have problems with my right knee. I hated playing on Astro as the recovery time after a game took much longer than grass pitches. I stopped training twice per week as I found it very unforgiving so I can totally see the point of Naismith etc. I think we all get defensive of the pitch in the face of criticism (which often isn't justified) from other clubs BUT it does prevent us signing certain players. So far you could argue it hasn't been a bad thing (Naisy and Bryson) but that won't always be the case.
