I think when some people see the replay of the tackle on Vassell when he was through on goal a lot of humble pie will be getting eaten. It was a fantastic tackle by the Hibs man

Stuart Findlay's last man tackle up the other end merits plenty of praise too.

  2. Nothing beats the spontaneity of celebrating a goal in the moment without the though of a VAR check at the back of the mind.  Two goals inside the first two minutes must be a near impossible feat these days too with the lengths the checks usually take.

Chairman and chief exec standing down at Motherwell quoting the financial pressures of survival, keeping the stadium going and establishing a Ladies team and a need for investment.

"However, they have been spending significantly more on wages than comparable teams in the cinch Premiership.

Well spent £6million more on staff costs than Kilmarnock over their first six seasons in fan ownership. In the 2021-22 season, they spent £5.2m, a rise of 60 per cent in five years, and significantly more than Killie (£3.4m), St Mirren (£3.9m) and Ross County (£3.1m)."

Was told it’s someone more experienced who has played up here before. Had a look at lower leagues in England. Few names I saw who fit that bill but are not based on anything more. To be honest I’m not sure where we’d sit financially on them either.

James Scott ex Well and Hibs. Only recently moved in January though

Connor Washington. Ex Hearts been at Derby of late.

Jayden Stockley. Worked with McInnes at Aberdeen.

Joe Garner. Into his thirties now but a more physical aggressive presence than we have.

Chris Long. Ex Motherwell. Seem to remember him being decent there

    Kane Hemmings ex Dundee.

Jayden Stockley only moved to Fleetwood in January so unlikely to be him.

Ryan Bowman is another name that fits the general description.

  5. The training gear gives an indication on what we can expect from the home GK top.

"A subtle nod to our incoming home goalkeeper jersey, training wear introduces the waterway theme through a Killie and Oxford Blue blend, uniting two traditional colours within a pattern that’s both appealing and functional."

Been asking for a Denmarkesque strip in blue and white for years.  It'd be awesome.  Something like the fiorentina strip of the same time.

I don't think Fiorentina have ever had Hummel kits. Agree this would look cool for an away strip though.

Red of the collar is perhaps lighter than you think.

I see that now from the finer details video the club have just shared. Much better if similar tones. Like the touch of red for a change.

  8. Mostly love it. The clash between the red Hummel logo and Orange of the sponsor is a little jarring but guess the details would have been decided on based on the Browning's logo.

Good work as ever though Lroy. Great to have some fan input in the design process to bring in the neat references to kits of the past.

Had a look on Transfermarkt at out of work coaches. Couple of names who popped up that I wondered if McInnes might look at.

Kevin Thomson was another one I thought might be an outside contender. Hasn't made the step up since leaving Kelty but believe he was interviewed for the main job when McInnes came in.
