  1. The manager made it clear on Friday that both of these guys have struggled with different knocks that have stopped them getting to the level they need to be at. I expecting KVV to be leading the line by now but if we keep getting results then it’s hard to criticize the manager. The Aberdeen loss in the cup is really the first “bad” defeat this squad has had since November time and, in my opinion, the Vassell and Watkins partnership has been a big part of that. If I was giving Vassell a school type grading since he signed just about 13 months ago it would be a “B” or a “B+” rating I would give him for his contribution.
  2. I’m probably showing my age here but I remember Lee Wallace scoring a pretty similar goal from LB when he had just came through at Hearts. I think it was the Scottish cup replay defeat after the 2-2 Naisy last minute goal.
  3. On the subject of Sportscene I wish they would sort out the sound mix between the commentary and the crowd. It sounded so flat on Sportscene whereas if you watch the highlights on sky it sounded a lot better.
  4. We should sign Mbappe shouldn’t we? ETA - I appreciate you, and me, just want success for the club and it’s not as if you are hoping Vass does fail. As I said in my earlier post I wanted him hooked off at halftime. But to say he offers nothing tells me that you don’t understand the game. Do you ever wonder why Watkins is doing so well? Can you comprehend that might be because him and Vassell are a great partnership. Would you be happy to see KVV, Greg Stewart, Cameron or whoever come in, score a few goals but overall we lost the impact the front two are having? Again I’m not here to pretend I’m delighted with big Vass all the time but if you listen to the managers comments after the game, and look where we are right now, to say Vassell offers nothing to the team is complete BS.
  5. I’m not going to pretend that I was happy at half time today or at 58 mins. In fact I was getting really annoyed that we weren’t making changes and I wanted Vass off too. I’ve got no issue with Killie fans recognizing that any player is having a poor game and every week players are taken off during games for every club when they aren’t performing or the team needs a change. I thought that today McInnes should’ve changed it and I’m not going to pretend that I thought it was going to turn out that way. But see for @jesper and the others making comments, especially about Vassell, like those above that he “offers nothing” and “consistently offers nothing” that is just looking to dig someone out for no reason. You can say “he’s struggling today” or whatever but to criticize his overall contribution to the team like that is nothing short of a disgrace. If he “consistently offers nothing” then you are saying we’ve got to fourth in this league effectively playing with 10 men for 99% of our games? Is that really what you think?
  6. Consistently offers nothing eh?
  7. Still got roughly 10 weeks of the season left for players to prove their value and it’s not as if the manager can just ditch the players who were on such a good run.

    KVV

What’s the deal with KVV? Not match fit or carrying an injury?
  9. I wasn’t at Dens so can’t comment on today but what games have you been watching?
  10. Great point mate 👍🏼.
  11. As someone who takes an 8 year old to games (and walked back to my car this way after the game) can I ask any of the youngsters (and older) reading this to just give this s**t a bye. Everyone loves the atmosphere being created etc but this other carry-on isn’t good enough and…..speaking for my 8 year old…..he wouldn’t come back to the football again if we ever got caught up in anything like this I think it would put him off for life.
  12. He’s raging because we’re 4th in the league and heading for our 4th QF in a row.
  13. By the way just on young David’s potential it occurred to me today that Watson is 2 years younger just now than Craig Bryson was when he signed him. From memory it took Bryson a few months to get up to speed so what Watson has achieved already in the top flight is remarkable.
  14. A striker focusing his answers on finishing and goal scoring definitely shocked and appalled me.
  15. Amazing episode again and great to hear Sandy on the pod.
  16. I age with Paul and with multi references both Killie and non-Killie it feels like he’s taking the thoughts out my own head.
  17. I was pretty pissed off for most of the game tonight however delighted with the win. We just didn’t get going in the first half land we seem to mostly only ever have a good 45 mins out of 90 which will need to change. However second half we did take command and it was a lot better but the play out from the back was largely frustrating. I thought Watson looked a bit lost and Lewis had a bit of an indecisive game. Overall it was just a bit clumsy. Plus points were the substitutions. Thought Polworth did great and all of the subs had an impact. Saw a bit on Twitter about negativity in the stands and I was guilty of that tonight as we made some basic errors. However you need to give a bit of credit to Livingston for working really hard and also a massive amount of credit to our lads for never giving in and eventually getting the three points. 3 points and another clean sheet which was a great result in the end.
  18. Wasn’t at the game today lads/ladies and haven’t read through the thread yet but I just wanted to say that I hope we don’t get sucked into a feeling that we should be walking over the clubs like Motherwell etc in the bottom 6. We’ve signed good players but it’s not as if we are dead certs to win games. Kind of get the feeling on Twitter that people are raging with an away point.
  19. I wasn’t at the game today so can’t comment but McInnes subs this season have helped us to 4th place so far and a few of those games the subs really helped to shore things up.
  20. Not for me. I thought he toiled badly for large parts of the Championship season (although I appreciate it was a different type of season with us looking to take control of games and push the opposition……or so we thought). I think the gap to the top flight was bigger than most of us imagined. I thought Alston just shaded it over McGinn in 21/22 although the Arbroath winner maybe skews that view. Good pro though and a good player.
  21. McInnes must be clueless then?
  22. I hope the below doesn’t read as me being disrespectful to the players I’m naming below as I feel they all did a decent shift for us in their own way but what a job McInnes has done building this squad. Last season we had Scott Robinson, Lafferty (who of course was a decent player but struggling in the top flight last year and got banned/was a liability),Doidge and Chris Stokes all around the first team. Today we’ve got Stuart Findlay, Kennedy, GMS, Stewart and Watkins in the squad. And for anyone who I missed out that’s not intentionally I was just trying to list only a few to give a comparison.
  23. Hate this sort of opinion to be honest. Rangers and Celtic fans probably feel the same way about us and others and it doesn’t mean we deserve our place in the league any less than those two do
