  1. I would agree with all of that to be honest but the overall view of the managers decisions should be looked at based on the teams performance. I too want and have wanted more minutes for Warnock (and did for Wales) however who would you play him instead of off the bench? Polworth? McKenzie? Even Dallas you would need to say had to get some sort of a chance and that’s probably why he has played more minutes than Warnock. I think a lot of the frustration comes back to father LC home group game when we were comfortably leading and Warnock and Wales didn’t come on. However also in that competition we had the poor performance against Raith and that was with Murray and Cameron (proven first team players regardless of what you think about their level) in the team. If we had played Warnock and Wales instead of Murray and Cameron and got knocked out of the competition the knifes would’ve been out for McInnes. Youth players are really important to the club and Warnock looks good but I’ve got sympathy with the manager not wanting to take a chance with Warnock in his 2 years so far. You could argue that it’s only in the last few weeks that McInnes has been able to operate without a severe amount of pressure on his shoulders - either to get up or to stay up.
  2. Hearts chose to came down and play here yesterday so I doubt they will start moaning about the placid park now.
  3. I wonder what position in the league we would need to be in before people trust McInnes. 1st maybe?
  4. I had absolutely no issue with what Maloney said and I totally agreed with him, it was a terrible loan spell for JJ last year. Didn’t hear Maloney blame Kilmarnock or McInnes for that, he seemed to just be stating facts in my opinion.
  5. Crowds are rising, I personally think Covid has a bit to do with that. However even if we got back to 9000 home fans which would be absolute dreamland we would still have spare seat left. If it wasn’t for the location housing away fans I would honestly be happy to chop 1000 seats off the Chadwick to do similar. Also for 1998/99 season our average was just over 11000 however in those days you had 18000 (including more home fans) against the two bigots. 18 home games x 11000=198000 So if you deduct 72000 for the 4 OF games (if you wanted to go down that route) then our average for the other 14 non-OF home games was 9000 and I would throw out a guesstimate at normally 8000 home fans and 1000 away back then. As a rough estimate for season ticket an extra 3000 fans would be an extra £1 million quid or so in income.
  6. Whilst I too wish we had higher crowds I think the attendances are probably getting better because less empty seats makes it look more attractive. You are the only person I know who has moaned about a reduced capacity but then that is not a surprise.
  7. Seen it but walked right through the middle of them (not like some kind of hard man, I was walking through them before i even realised what was going on and could hear them starting to shout at people. They were really young which probably makes them more dangerous but I always believe that, unless you are really unlucky, if you don’t want to get involved then you won’t get involved. From what I saw it was just a bit of shouting and threats. Someone did call me a hun bastard though which was nice.
  8. Look at the run we are on and Vass has been at number 9 for the whole run. He might not be scoring goals (and he might be struggling just now) but he is clearly bringing something to the team to enable this system to work. McInnes would drop him if he isn’t happy. Maybe he’s there just to hassle centre halfs. I think the current criticism of him is unfair just based on the fact that he is playing in a team that is doing so well. He’s part of that winning team, goals or not. You could maybe put a poacher in Vassells position and suddenly find you are getting less from Watkins/Armstong etc as more defenders are covering them. If you can’t trust McInnes to make the correct decisions at the current time then I don’t think you ever will. The manager clearly knows what Vass brings to the team.
  9. I’m starting to really fall in love with this squad.
  10. I am unsure if Livingston will even reach our current 27 point total.
  11. He’s a knob (B2b that is not Vass).
  12. Sorry if this was shared already for some reason I can’t move onto page 2 of the forum or anything to look to see if it has been posted already. This is NOT a topic where I am trying to push or demand for these two to be in the team. I appreciate it may go there but this isn’t to have a go at McInnes or challenge his decisions as the squad and form all looks pretty good. I know it’s a different level but I would encourage everyone to watch these highlights and see how far ahead Warnock and Wales appear to be compared to their peers. I appreciate this is a highlights video but I was really impressed by what these two guys showed.
  13. I didn’t notice the tickets were on sale either but got down to the office on Tuesday. I don’t really know if I should just be posting the guys name here but there was a guy on one of the Facebook Killie fan groups called John Mair who had his tickets up for sale today due to a mixup with the dates*. *I do not know John Mair at all so I’m not saying buy his tickets and as always if buying online from a stranger take great care that you are not being scammed.
  14. The way I always look at it is if I want my own seat that it says on my ticket I better be there early. If you turn up at 7.40 and there’s 20 guys all together all around your seat then you’ve got no chance. Not saying it’s right or wrong to be honest it doesn’t bother me if it happens to me. Glad we’ve got a big enough support for this to be a problem.
  15. A whole team of men is the best way for me to sum up today’s performance. Last seasons squad would’ve wilted with pressure in the first 10/15 and a team which was weaker physically and mentally (as we saw with our opponents) wouldn’t have won that game today. We stood up to the battle, thrived on it and you could just feel us taking the game by the scruff of the neck and dragging ourselves on top.
  16. Not for me however that’s probably more with an old school mentality. By the rules then likely yes. They would’ve got a penalty for that.
  17. You always get a couple of hundred missing for various reasons (holidays/work/illness). Yesterdays conditions I’m sure would’ve kept another couple of hundred away, especially maybe some older folks not so stable on their feet or people with really young children who normally take them along. Totally agree with your comments on the Chadwick and the away fans. It’s actually something that I think the Trust or someone should raise formally with the club. Even if the weather isn’t great, if that’s the reason for them thinking the back is best, a lot of the smaller supports like Livingston/Ross County could still spread out wider over the top half of the bottom deck to avoid the first few rows. For Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell, St Mirren and probably Dundee as well on occasion it’s a total no brainer and would massively increase the atmosphere. Maybe the club are worried about the away fans being closer and driving the away team to a better result but if so then we should forget about that. Despite the result and performance yesterday I enjoyed the noise the Jambos were making.
  18. Of rolling two 6’s on your first go? Mental I was going to say that I couldn’t believe they would take that much of a risk but when you have those odds it makes sense. Wonder how much they made?
  19. Also just on the above I though Donnelly was the best of the 3 midfielders today however totally agree that we need Polworth and Kennedy to be regularly in the team to let us keep the ball.
  20. I think that is quite unfair and harsh. Surely nobody is claiming Mayo, Findlay, Watson, Armstrong, Vassell, Watkins and Kennedy are headless chickens? Because even if you aren’t a fan of the other players (or some of those) then surely you would still need to say we’ve got 6 or 7 who are of pretty good quality. Today was the worst home performance since County by a mile but Hearts are a decent team with solid defenders. This isn’t aimed at you but you would’ve thought we lost 6-0 today based on some reactions.
  21. It could also draw more away fans. I could imagine someone saying “wasn’t going to go to Kilmarnock tomorrow but that cross bar challenge is now at £10k so definitely going for the draw”.
  22. I can still remember the guy winning the car at the (I think I can probably say famous) 4-2 Friday night game vs Hibs. He fell down the stairs in the bottom half of the East stand trying to get down to the pitch. Can remember it like it was yesterday.
  23. I think Dennis has done ok and for me better than expected but being “better than expected” isn’t necessarily great. I do agree that today wasn’t good enough and the most worrying thing is that it really seem to lead to a bit of a meltdown from him for about 10/15 minutes afterwards with terrible distribution. Whilst we’ve not conceded loads of goals I think that is perhaps more to do with the defenders than the goalkeeper however that may be a bit unfair as he is part of the whole defence. Not a big fan either of some of the short passes he plays particularly to Findlay where they often seem to be the wrong weight or just at the wrong time. He did make a decent save at the end to stop them killing the game completely.
  24. If the cross bar challenge was on tomorrow I wouldn’t like to be the fan having a go on that surface with trainers or shoes on. ETA - With 5000 people around you.
