  1. The final episode of 'Big Match' Series 1 features title-winning goalkeeper Bobby Ferguson. Direct link: https://killiehistories.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts and Spotify - 1965 Championship win - Big European games - Scots' number 1 goalie - Mixing with football + Hollywood royalty A Kilmarnock and Scottish football legend!
  2. The Big Match series closes tonight with legendary goalie Bobby Ferguson. To ensure you are up-to-date with when episodes are released, make sure that you follow our new Twitter page @KillieHistories, or subscribe to our channel on podbean, Apple Podcasts or Spotify. The episode is free - and easy to access - wherever you listen. We will be putting the link to tonight's episode out on the new twitter page initially but if you follow the series on podbean, Apple or Spotify you will always know when a new episode is ready. Listener numbers have been terrific - hence why we are now in discussions with the Former Players Association about the players and teams to speak with in a third and fourth series. We have BIG plans for the podcast....and we want to get the message out to as many people as possible. Thanks for all the positive feedback. It is great to know that the stories of the former players are so popular. Don't forget to share the podcast link if you like it! https://killiehistories.podbean.com/
  3. Thanks Alan, We think it is a really fitting end to the series. Really good guest and a very nice, helpful person too. We spoke with Bobby early on in the planning and he was very receptive to our suggestion from the outset, including wearing the famous 1965 goalie shirt for our #killiekit 1965 event!
  4. The final episode of 'The Big Match' series features title-winning goalie Bobby Ferguson. Responsible for arguably the most important shut-out in Kilmarnock FC history, he also talks about European runs, being Scotland's first choice...and facing Pele. Find the episode HERE on Friday.
  5. Thanks Lions! Please do give a review/rating wherever you listen
  6. Thanks Deserter. The positive comments mean a lot because, although it is a privilege to be putting these together, they are A LOT of work! 1993/94 is definitely not 'done and dusted' from the podcast point of view although the next two series will likely be a long time before the early 90s...and a long time after....
  7. We are delighted with the feedback we have been receiving on here as well as on social media. If you have liked the episodes so far please do tell others - and leave a written review on the page you listen (Apple, Spotify or Podbean). Not only does a review mean casual browsers might be tempted to listen, when we contact former players to invite them to participate, we send a link to the episodes. A page with positive comments and 5-star reviews will make them more likely to agree to speak with us! And we have big plans for the next series... And do also subscribe to the podcast as well! We do also very much encourage thoughts for improvements as well as players, teams and seasons to look at in future series. With the backing we have from the Former Players Association, there is A LOT we can do to speak to a wide range of former Kilmarnock stars.
  8. If we can give people a bit of entertainment at the moment, we'd call that a massive success! Thanks for the kind words.
  9. Glad you enjoyed it Alan. Just one episode to go...a league winner!

  11. And here it is! This week's podcast episode features Tom Black. 12. Thanks Maths! Really appreciate the positive feedback. We had a wish list for the first series and Tom was on it. The Former Players Association has been key to this series happening and us getting iconic players like Tom involved. It is great that, even in the trailer earlier in the week, there was a lot of goodwill for Tom.
  13. Thanks Dazza - glad you like them! Tom Black tomorrow then one more to come in this first series.
  14. Is Tom Black the all-time Kilmarnock cult hero? Not sure about that, but he's in the Top One. Tom talks classic wins and a HUGE game in particular. A taster of Episode 3 of the Killie Histories 'Big Match' series - released Friday is HERE Past episodes: https://killiehistories.podbean.com
  15. Thanks Ray - yes he's been on the case on twitter today. No joy, sadly.

  17. Killie Histories: 'The Big Match' series Episode 2: Paul Clarke - Pre-match strike - Paolo Rossi - Unusual bonuses - Part-time, Premier team https://killiehistories.podbean.com Not only was Paul a great guest, he has given invaluable support to this series Episode features legendary BBC commentator, David Begg, as well as Kilmarnock legends Alan Robertson and George Maxwell and is free to listen on Podbean, Apple and Spotify. This episode is much more than the story of one match; it is an insight into a unique era of the club. Enjoy....don't forget to share, like and review!
  18. The involvement of our support in strengthening the links between club and community is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our regular reviews of practices and procedures to reflect our growing relationship with the Club, we have made a change to the Killie Trust logo to reflect this. We are updating our online presence as well in the next few weeks...starting with a new-look website.
  19. Episode 2 of the new 'Killie Histories' podcast will be out in a few days. THREE Kilmarnock legends...ONE almighty shock!
