  1. Horrible day in every way. Apart from the result, general performance and the weather, my son was supposed to be on the field at half time to play a 5/7 a side match against a Hibs boys side. He had been looking forward to it for weeks, his first final, first visit to Hampden and actually being on the pitch and playing for his favourite team, a really excited wee boy. He turned up with his boots as well as his scarf but the weather put paid to that and the game didn’t happen. Absolutely gutted but it made his next visit a few years later against Septic all the sweeter.
  2. Well, that was rather enjoyable. We were s**te first half, but that second half"…………… Thats got to be some of the worst defending I’ve ever had the pleasure to see, especially with Watsons goal. well played to the Saints fans for creating a great atmosphere, and so refreshing to have the away stand almost filled but not hearing any of the sectarian s**te we normally hear when it’s full
  3. Was it him with the kids, or you? If it was him it makes his behaviour so much worse. shocking behaviour anyway from a so called Killie fan.
  4. Had the “pleasure “ of speaking to a Celtic fan in the FB stand loos at halftime during their last day league decider when Rangers played Dunfermline at the same time. ”who do you want to win the league big yin”? ”I couldn’t give a f*ck who wins, I’m a Killie fan”. ”but who do you want to win the league, who do you really support “? They just don’t get it.
  5. Why on earth would he have a season ticket for anywhere when he is working every Saturday.
  6. In the FB stand I saw a steward trying to get the attention of the police just after they scored the second goal. They seemed to ignore her completely for a good three minutes while one of the mutants postured around unchallenged. They eventually asked him to leave with no great conviction. Double standards.
  7. There were two sitting in front of me in seats reserved for season ticket holders in the FB stand. It was clear they had just picked the seats randomly because they were empty tho’, because of how they were behaving. They both got out of the seats when I arrived as they clearly thought I was waiting to sit there. That said, they sat quietly throughout the first half before going elsewhere at halftime due to the atmosphere created by the regulars around us. That atmosphere was so much better than normal thanks to the Hun presence among us with everyone being much more verbal than the usual decorum. In that way, as well as the extra £60 to the club, they didn’t help their club one little bit.
  8. That’s the problem now IMO. Football violence is nothing new and was probably even worse 50 years ago when I was a teenager. The problem now is that it’s all being filmed and put out there for everyone to see. There will always be neds associating with football clubs, loosely or otherwise, unfortunately it’s the ‘tribal’ thing that seems to attract them. Also unfortunately, there remains the risk of innocent young lads getting roped into it but, hopefully, the 1869 boys can identify the wrong uns and sort it out before it escalates any further.
  9. It’s hardly a witch hunt, rather supporters voicing opinions on a tiny minority of young thugs in danger of giving the club a bad name. The vast majority of comments have been positive towards the 1869 boys and the energy and enthusiasm they bring to the match day experience, but you seem to be going out of your way to make an issue of it.
  10. What a load of s**te. How do you suggest they ‘steal’ the flags and drums? “Excuse me, would you mind handing these over to us please?” While most of these lads will undoubtedly be decent, and they are definitely improving the atmosphere at games, there can be no question that there are thugs among them. I’d change your closing statement to “As long as they don’t embarrass the club, it should be doing everything it can to facilitate them.”
  11. Mine too. He’s now sadly no longer with us but he also thought the world of Jim.
  12. Well said Muza. The Bickering bus was a great learning experience for me as an impressionable teenager who could easily have gone down that wrong road but for the guidance of the older lads, especially Jim Wilson and his pals. Don’t think I actually thanked him for that so hope he’s reading this.
  13. You were a very lucky young man to walk away from that with your legs intact.
  14. He’s already turned them down when he was at Aberdeen. They seem in an even bigger mess now than then. Can’t see this even being considered somehow..
  15. Do you still need to get a ticket to get in, or just turn up at the turnstiles? definitely interested in attending to give the lads a cheer.
  16. Remember it well. Some of the throws landed at the back post as I recall. The guy ?Hutchinson from Chelsea is the guy that sticks in my head most. It was entertaining and a wee break from watching the games. Something different definitely.
  17. I don’t think calling someone weak minded for not agreeing with you is particularly clever.
  18. Thats us a day and a half into the transfer window with no sign of Craigie.
  19. Oops. Bobby Morrison ran the local shop when I was wee. I always got them mixed up. Yes, Eddie, great player but he never sold me a penny caramel or a lucky bag!
  20. I actually thought it was a decent turnout given the horrible weather.
  21. Commiserations mate. I hope she appreciated the effort.
