  1. Agreed Agreed, on both points. Derek flatters to deceive, to have no answers on why the team you selected and set up plays so poorly week after week away from home is unforgivable. Saturdays rant about Var was a classic diversion tactic, didn’t alter the game one iota. If wasn’t for Walker it would have been the same and Livi and done by 30 mins in. Worst record of points per game of all our managers in recent history I believe. Also you can understand why Walker plays the long ball and bypasses the midfield when he looks up and sees it. Just need to pray we survive and get the clear out started.
  2. Don’t know why this has been voted down so much. True words; apart from the two games against United I don’t think he has even looked remotely like scoring. He’s not even that good at holding up the ball, likes to tussle with the centre back, 99/100 comes off second best then spends the next couple of mins complaining to the ref. He was in the press a few weeks back telling us we’d see what he is all about…..well can we’re still waiting. Add that to Doidge’s 1 goal in 19 and you’ve got a recipe for relegation.
  3. How much has this cost to terminate? Dyer could be stepping up to the plate for the foreseeable if the coffers are empty.
  4. BBC Sportsound’s clear proof of the huge split running through the team....3 outfield players didn’t get involved in the celebrations lol
  5. Got a cheek to charge £30 for the worst away view in Scottish football. If it’s not the pole in your view, it’s the main stand roof.
  6. Brilliant second half performance, next week is a good test for the understanding of what the manager is asking of the players. Good time to get Celtic after 4 clean sheets, the confidence should be high and the team celebrating together at the end was brilliant to see. If you don’t lose many goals you won’t lose many matches. Reckon AA may be George Graham in disguise. :-) I’ll take 89 and half minutes of “patience” next week followed by a Brophy screamer just to ram right in further to the Sportsound clowns.
  7. Has the recruitment policy failed or have we been outmuscled by clubs gambling their financial standing? Again could be somewhere in the middle. I am sure there are some lessons to be learned by the board about how we manage recruitment but Dundee Utd, after a good few years outside the SPL, paying more than any of the provincial teams in the SPL to Shankland suggests the latter argument should be considered.
  8. Ok, genuine question. Who is it we should have gone for on a permanent contract? Who out there is in our financial sphere that we missed out on? Genuinely think we missed a trick on Henderson and Aitchison from Celtic on loan but maybe they were playing hardball with us over GT.
  9. You’re probably right and the truth will be somewhere in the middle. Do we blow our budget on one or two players, doesn’t automatically mean success? Southampton found that out with the lad they’ve just loaned to Celtic. Even the ugly sisters aren’t immune to loaners. Or do we invest in the youth setup with the money and try and create some more sellable assets that allow the cycle to continue? There is no right or answer I suppose but the time has arrived to get behind the team and back who we have for this season. .
  10. No one said that....it’s the financials we need to get realistic with. The ugly sisters are in the same position as us with EPL. They lose their best players to that league, we lose ours to the ugly sisters. Home grown talent that we can sell, backed up by experienced pro’s at the other end of their career and loans needs to be our operating model to survive and thrive.
  11. However we are where we are, BB was possible naive with his words. At end of the day he is not a miracle worker, he most definitely won’t spend money we don’t have and he certainly can’t make us any more attractive to players than we really are. I suspect we’ve have had a few KB’s from agents/players that he didn’t expect to happen and has caught him off guard. Anyway sad I said, as long as we learn from it and know for next time then we should all be happy and ploughing our energy in to backing the team. We are Killie!!
  12. Is it modern social media that is whipping us up in to a frenzy or do people seriously think we are all of a sudden operating in new financial circles to be able to attract marquee signings? Yes we finished “best of the rest” in 3rd in last year, this pays just over £2 million. We aren’t financial heavyweights all of a sudden. (Huddersfield made nearly £100 million for coming last as comparison) Yes we were totally embarrassed by losing to CQ’s but realistically we left the competition one round earlier than we would have. Yes the admin team appear to have been caught in the headlights a bit but I genuinely believe they all have the clubs best interest at heart. Lessons will be learned and I am sure they will debrief the summer accordingly. Any free agents come in will be a bonus but it’s now time to come back down to Earth and settle down. We’re really not in that bad a place, we don’t need to look too far in the past to realise this. Let’s get back to reality and get everyone behind AA and the team for the season.
  13. Yep....as would this lad have been. Fingers crossed we get some fire power signed.
