  1. Brilliant as always troops, I'm sure the live event will be a belter.
  2. Very much appreciate the kind comments, it was hugely enjoyable and we're all lucky to have the FEAE and Killie View podcasts churning out great Killie content on a weekly basis.
  3. Mayo has been excellent and will be on the short lists for the POTY awards however I'm not sure he is close to a Scotland cap. I agree he is best in a central position but I don't think his passing and distribution is great, a comment that could possibly apply to all our centre backs.
  4. I'm sure as a trialist he scored 2 goals in a pre season friendly in a 2 - 2 draw but we never actually signed him
  5. 1. Coincidentally or not when Ndaba goes out the team it seems our shape goes to pot. 2. I'd play Polworth every week (in a middle three) 3. Donnelly is hit and miss but due to his injury record I'd never have given him a contract. 4. Vassell needs dropped/rested as we have better options now and if he has an injury now is the time to get it sorted. 5. Totally delighted to get 4 points from the last two games as both performances have been below par, bring on Cove.
  6. Cheers Squirrelhumper, think we have a few seats left if anyone interested.
  7. Minibus going from West Netherton as well
  8. My thoughts exactly pretty much agree with all your points.
  9. Rest up Vassell for a couple of games and give Wales a run up top with Watkins, just look how Watson has developed with a run of first team games. Lets be honest Dallas does not appear to be the answer so would much rather give one of our own youngsters a chance.
  10. GS was magnificent in his short spell with us and if he came back and did similar it would be epic but I have a few niggling doubts. Firstly I'm not a big fan of bringing players back, of course it can work but it seems in the majority of cases that things are not as good the second time around. Secondly McInnes would need to play him in the same way SSC did as he seemed to play him wide at Aberdeen and didn't get the best out of him. Finally I feel our priority should be an out and out number 9 whereas GS did his good work as a free roving number 10. If he signs I'm sure it would get the fans buzzing so maybe the answer is to buy him as well as a fox in the box!!
  11. Similar to the likes of Brophy, O'Donnell etc JJ played his best football under the expert guidance of SSC and will never return to those levels. He was excellent for us in that first spell but I get the impression he isn't the brightest bulb in the box.
  12. I was lucky to be invited along to the above game by Cathy during Covid, there was no crowd but a handful of folk were allowed in the directors box. On the way out I was given a handful of match programmes and I have just came across them by accident. I appreciate this won't be a rare programme but some collectors may not have it due to the Covid circumstances. If anyone would like one just make a small donation to our "Growing the Killie Family" initiative, DM if interested - first come first served.
  13. A poor game but I expected nothing else up there, it's always a battle and all about winning 2nd balls etc. We got a big slice of luck but we deserved something from the game. Defensively we are doing well but we need to be because much like last season we don't have goals in us. That may still come back to bite us in the bum but I doubt it as the rest of the league is bang average. Overall it was not great but a point away from home is ok when you have conceded a late penalty, it keeps a wee unbeaten run going and we have a very winnable game next week.
  14. Absolutely brilliant 2nd half performance, great individuals all over the park with Armstrong MOTM but I've always said that we're a better team with Polworth in it, gives us composure and class that nobody else can.
  15. Great news and as SH says it will help us get a decent fee if/when he goes. I know he comes from a good family and have no doubt they were influential in advising DW to do the right thing.
  16. I always remember speaking to Kenny Shiels and he went to great lengths to point out how important mental attitude was for players. He had teams going to Ibrox, Parkhead and Hampden and getting results and he'll tell you that was largely because they went out with the mental belief that they could win.......we appear to have the polar opposite just now. Away from home it always seems like we are going out not to lose and I think that mentality is exactly why we lose cheap late goals at the likes of Motherwell and Dundee. We have tried any amount of different personnel and formations but two wins in 27 games tell you it isn't working. The manager needs to accept this and change his outlook on the road but he doesn't appear the type to recognise his shortcomings. I wouldn't change the manager but he is still disappointing especially with his away record. I do think the keeper should have saved that goal yesterday and agree with Piffer we generally don't give up a lot of shots but Dennis isn't the type to win a game for you with multiple saves. He is nowhere near as bad as Doyle and nowhere near as good as Bachmann or Woodman. One wee personal thought about Hibs, they are as close to a one man team as you'll get in the Premiership. With Boyle in the team they are probably top 6 but without him they are probably 7th or 8th, we don't seem to handle him too well unfortunately. Next up is Ross County away and that's another place where we have an horrific record, we have tricky fixtures upcoming so it would be the perfect time to get the monkey off our back (again).
  17. Got spare adult £26 adult ticket if someone still to get one, cheers
  18. I was just as happy with the 3 points yesterday as I was when we beat Livi and Aberdeen and played much better. There are certain teams who focus on physicality and long ball football and Motherwell and Ross County etc fall into that category. It was all about matching their aggression then stamping our authority in the game and I thought we did that fairly well and fully deserved the win. Although they had one or two chances it was a game that I always felt we'd win once we got the first goal. The win was all the more important as we now have two away games followed by two tough home games.....onwards and upwards.
  19. Whether it was with the fanzine, website or Trust Craig gave endless hours to help the fan's groups. He went out his way to cover reserve games and ladies games as well as first team games and always provided great info and reports for the Killie community. All this while having a hard time health wise but nothing got in the way of his love for Killie. RIP mate you'll be very sadly missed.
  20. Terrible news, another great Killie man gone, condolences to all family and friends
  21. Well said mate, RIP Laurel
  22. Good performance and much needed three points against a poor Livi side. It's no coincidence that we play far more football and look better going forward with Polworth in the team. He brings composure, links up play and would be in my team every week. Also good to see two up front as Vassell is a different player with someone beside him, both he and Watkins were excellent. Mayo was excellent too, he looks far more comfortable in the centre rather than on the right. Excellent day all round and I'm rough as toast this morning!!
  23. Very sorry to hear this sad news, RIP Chic
