1st Kennedy. Smith, McArthur now Wales.  What chance have we got of our youth system of actually havening players progress into the 1st team before they are taken by other clubs.

    None.

Scrap the youth system. it's a complete and utter waste of money. Times have changed. Big clubs have got scouts EVERYWHERE. Impossible for a "little gem" to make it into the 1st team at a club like ours.

Have seen quite a few Celtic fans on Social Media claiming that all the players were doing was celebrating our 'heroes'. Don't think these 'heroes' are regarded as the IRA of 1919, but rather the 'version' from 1969 onwards.

So, the 'latest' Celtic 'justification' for this song is that the IRA are a 'heroic' group....worth letting that sink in for a moment.

2 of these players are registered with the SFA....what action will be taken?

Given that FIFA are the body overseeing the Women's World Cup, do they not have a duty to be involved here? in the form of a fine for the FAI?

Can't say I'm a fan of our players (alleged) public sectarian slur.

Hopefully the club isn’t in a frenzy about this unlike this forum. Some on here seem determined to blow this way out of proportion.

I have no personal preference on what course of action the club decides to take on this matter at this stage. Before commenting on what’s right and wrong I think we need to hear their findings first.

This is in no way intended to be a defence of what Lafferty is accused of, but are we not meant to live in a redemptive society? It remains to be seen whether he would apologise should he be found guilty, but say he does and he publicly speaks about the consequences of his actions, the unacceptable nature of his remarks & the damage it has caused, is there absolutely no scope for him to redeem himself? This would of course be on top of a hefty fine & likely a playing suspension, so obviously I’m not suggesting he gets away without punishment. Far from it. A recent example of this was with Kurt Zouma at West Ham, although obviously different circumstances.

Fully appreciate there will be many who probably don’t see this argument, just trying to provide some balance.

It's almost like Lafferty is the victim here.

Good to see our support is full of perfect individuals who never do anything wrong.

Pretty sure everyone has had a moment they have said or done something that their not proud of but fortunately for us it’s not put out in the public domain.

Yes, this is indeed the 1st time Kyle Lafferty has ever done anything controversial. Such an unlucky individual that this "out of character" moment has been captured on camera.

He’s not going to get sacked because the club knows we have a better chance of staying in the division with him. Even the fan base know it so let’s not play silly buggers here. The guy has made a mistake he will apologise and that will be that. He will score against Aberdeen too win us the game and this forum will be full of big laff is back we all know it.

Sack him and use his over inflated wages to bring in a better player.

And don’t forget the Greatest Briton ever-as voted for by those cuddly bigots who brought you Brexit and stop the RNLI from helping immigrants drowning in the English Channel.

Yes, the whole country is wrong and you and this little bunch of circle-jerkers are right.

It's embarrassing reading this chat at times. No wonder it's just the same 5 people who "debate" the same topics. Pathetic.

A few of the players in our team said that Haunstrup was extremely fast, one of the fastest players some of them had ever played with. I knew he was quick but I don’t think we ever saw it to that extent on the pitch.

He was too busy towing a cart when playing for us!

  8. Prime example of why we should scrap our youth development and just pick up scraps for larger academies when players are released at 18.

The youth academy policy is so outdated in modern football.

Gone are the days when youth can develop through a setup. Anybody with a hint of talent will be swiped away by a "big club". EVERY big club now has scouts throughout the country watching at every level. You cannot hide or "nurture" talent any more.

    Sad but that's the reality.
