  1. A talented manager and resources is the ideal combination though.
  2. Even relative to other teams he had more resources though. We outbid Aberdeen for Cocard.
  3. Scotland's oldest club is a bit of a stretch.
  4. The only caveat is that he had more resources at his disposal than any other Killie manager. What would Steve Clarke or Derek McInnes have achieved if they had £7,500 a week (without adjusting for inflation) to spend on a player?
  5. Would you regard Kenny Sheils and Bobby Williamson as more successful than Steve Clarke or Derek McInnes? It's an interesting debate. I think I'd rather finish eighth and win one of the cups.
  6. I was going to ask whether Doidge and Ash Taylor ever scored in the same game and then I remembered the former's goal return.
  7. Fine Day by Rolf Harris and the Killie Choir.
  8. I really enjoyed watching the last one online so hopefully there will be another video recording.
  9. If we win next week, a draw against St Mirren would likely be enough to secure fourth.
  10. Hearts will be disappointed that he was given so much time to turn and shoot at the edge of their box.
  11. I've reflected and come round to your point of view. I think I was just in panic stations after the amount I spent on Switzerland tickets!
  12. I thought he did the right thing playing his strongest team. We were desperate for a win. The problem is that we don't have any decent young players. If Scotland had an 18 year old as good as Mainoo we would be building the team around him. The performance schools initiative has been a failure unfortunately. We're in a similar position as we were at the end of Craig Brown's reign.
  13. When comparisons with the Watson goal vs. St Mirren was being discussed, everyone forgot about Rory's solo run at Dens Park.
  14. He allowed a nothing shot/ cross from close range through his hands. "Flung it in our net" is stretching things somewhat.
  15. If he was going to try new faces, the friendly matches would have been the time to do it. It's probably too late for the Euros now. Part of the problem is that he has one rigid system and teams have worked out how to play against it. This might have happened to him at Killie as well if he had stayed longer. It might be the reason that he hasn't been offered a decent job in England since Reading.
  16. Yeah it's still not reason enough for me to watch Open Goal.
  17. Is Kevin Kyle not a semi-pro darts player now? He would have won this hands down.
  18. I think this would influence me to chase the money. At his age, he doesn't have many more opportunities to set himself up financially.
  19. I think it would be more like £2 million for the pair.
  20. It didn't add much to Greg Taylor's.
  21. You could dine out on Scotland winning the World Cup anywhere on the globe for the rest of your life. Killie winning the SPL would be big in Scotland but nobody else would be interested.
  22. I live in Australia, and if Killie won the SPL nobody here would know or care. Scotland winning the World Cup on the other hand....
  23. The best bit is Danny Armstrong winding up Zach Hemming at the end. "Zach, Zach, five?"
  24. We keep being told on here that the Killie teams from 20-25 years ago were much better.
