  1. Reminded me of Burke's 2nd goal in the 3-0 home win against Hearts in 2019.
  2. Keith Robin was a promising young right back. I seem to remember him being sent off against Hearts(?). Not sure he played many, if any games after that.
  3. I think Brad judged the spin of the ball better. The spin was taking it away from the keeper on its downward trajectory.
  4. It was his to fix. Simply order a retake until we score.
  5. Correct. A foul on Kennedy in front of the FB stand. Also Dhanda could easily have been given a 2nd booking for a foul on Armstrong. He was subbed quickly after that.
  6. DM was very vocal, first half especially; shouting encouragement and positional instructions.
  7. I thought Andrew Miller, young CB, Jon Craig LB and Aaron Quigg CM were the pick. Hibs looked physically stronger.
  8. Did anyone see the incident very early on when Armstrong got injured?
  9. Oh for a goalscoring centrefarad.
  10. From the FB stand the first half challenge on Armstrong looked a shocker...but no card.
  11. Armstrong's off the ball run creates doubt in the Hearts defence which allows Polworth time to pick the cross.
  12. Ben becomes the 2nd LB to play for both Exeter and Killie.
  13. Low. Losing 1-0 away to Queens Park (1989) and slipping to 38th position in the Scottish Football League. Highs. Many previously mentioned plus the Robbie Keane debut match when Chris Maguire scored. 10 on the GIRFUYometer
  14. This does not look like a formation designed to get the best out of Fraser Murray or Rory McKenzie. Looks like we plan to flood the midfield. I worry that DM is overthinking things. Obviously hope I am very wrong.
  15. Re the Thistle goal. As they were about to take the corner, the man of the match announcement was being made. Did this have any impact on the players' concentration levels? It shouldn't but... Perhaps in future it might be better to make these announcements when the ball is miles away from our goal.
  16. One of my favourite shout-outs... After some dithering and a few short passes from Obadeyi which resulted in nothing, an exasperated fan shouted, "too tippy-tappy Tope"
  17. McGowan also needlessly conceded the corner from which they scored. If you realise that defensively you are vulnerable at set pieces, why not start by having a defender on either post?
  18. To Have And Have Not another keeper?
  19. As I recall, even more galling was McSkimmings header being wrongly ruled out for offside.
  20. First goal. If Doyle had missed the cross, it would have ended up at Erwin at the back post who was offside when the ball was played. For the penalty, it is a long ball from their keeper. Broadfoot is fouled allowing the ball to go into the box. You can see Power claiming for this free kick. None of the St Mirren players near the incident are interested in claiming for a penalty and are looking to pick up the pieces from a spilled save.
  21. Three of us made the trip by train from Glasgow/Kilmarnock. It had been raining, but it never occurred to us that the game was in jeopardy. Having a pint in a pub adjacent to the ground and at 2.30 we were informed that the game was off. An unfeasibly large carry-out was purchased for the return journey. One of the better no-game football days out.
  22. It should work out with all teams having 19 home games. Killie, Hamilton and Motherwell are each due 3 home games, the others only 2. We should have RC and St M at home and Ham away. One of DUFC or Mwell will have to play a 3rd game at RP.
