  1. To me Dennis is a pretty generic goalkeeper, if we lose him we'll get another one in of similar or better quality. It'd be good to get our own boy though, somebody that'll cement the position as his for a few seasons. It's such a crucial position. Killie used to be a club that consistently produced good No 1's.
  2. Just watched. This is brilliant lads. Well done.
  3. I left the Celtic game after 19 minutes when we were 3 0 down. There was plenty of context around that particular game. Hard to believe that folk left at HT yesterday. We were poor first half, but 2 0 was hardly insurmountable.
  4. The booing worked yesterday. It was deserved. I'm sure none of the players were offended by it.
  5. Goal of this and any other season. It'll live long in the memory. That was the icing on the cake, Rugby Park was euphoric at that point.
  6. Man of the match for us. Puts his body on the line. Great performance.
  7. He's our number 9, he's not scoring enough goals. It's a bizarre point you are making. He deserves some criticism with his lack of goals and the chances that he's missed. Sometimes you've got to be cruel to be kind. We need much more from our number 9.
  8. So what was your original post about then?
  9. Even in those games, Shinnie attempted to referee and was leniently dealt with by the officials of the day. Nothing changed in that respect.
  10. Why do you think that would be? Would it change your view?
  11. The farce is that the manager wasn't made aware about the injury. Absolute amateur hour stuff.
  12. Shinnie is a problem that we haven't been able to counter over the years. However, referees have to apply the rules when it comes to Shinnie's "work". It's just another inconsistency when it comes to how the rules are applied. It was disappointing to hear McInnes praising Shinnie post match. He knows what he does as well as anyone, it's up to him to get it dealt with.
  13. Must be something more with the KVV situation? McInnes didn't seem happy about that yesterday. Unlike him to be as specific as he was in his post match interview. It is bizarre that we made 4 signings in January that most of us thought could take us up a level and, to date, we've had next to nothing from them. On the Vassell issue. He's clearly very much liked by the manager. I just find it difficult to think that we can press ahead with a number 9 that doesn't score many goals. I thought Vassell was awful yesterday, but that can be said of every player in the stripes.
  14. Any other game, the ref pulls that free kick back to be taken again. Looks like the ref cheated us over at least 3 incidents, Barosic, Polworth and Donnelly.
  15. Vassell is a workhorse, plays well in a two with Watkins. BUT, KVV looks a more technical football player and will likely replace Vassell this weekend.
  16. It's a very good squad of players and an incredible improvement upon where we were last season. Given that several are on loan we'll need to enjoy them whilst we can. In my lifetime the teams of the 90s were generally my favourite, but there was more money being spent then and the overall quality of the league was far better. This team has given us back our pride though for the first time in a long time. It's a great time to be a Killie fan.
  17. The free kick for the second goal. Everything happened so quickly. Did the ball stop for the free kick to be taken? The ref blew for a free kick, but the ball seemed to be in motion the whole time? Against anybody else that free kick gets pulled back and retaken. Huge debate about the pull on Polworth at the end of the first half. I was screaming for a red as it was a definite goal scoring opportunity. The pull doesn't happen and that extra metre allows Polworth to get to the ball before Butland. Really proud of the manager and players tonight. We didn't deserve to lose that game. There was very little between the teams given the huge chasm in finances.
  18. Exactly. We've huge motivation to beat them tonight and we are more than good enough to do so. There will be no fear amongst this group of players.
  19. How does Shinnie manage not to get booked for his constant sniping at the referee? At one point I thought the referee had forgotten to bring his cards with him.
  20. Just a thought from last night. Watson is better when we don't have the ball, chasing down and tackling. However, when we are dominating possession he has a bit to learn yet. Polworth made a huge difference when he replaced Watson. Horses for courses.
  21. Marley Watkins is such a clever player. Every goal he scores is important. A poor first half, but credit to the manager for making the changes needed.
  22. I agree completely. Whilst our manager is doing a good job at the moment, I think he struggles to introduce our homegrown talent. Conversely, he's quite happy develop young loan players for other clubs. He also struggles to make full use of his squad. The number of players struggling with injuries but still having to play is hampering us. See the Dundee draws and the second half struggle at St Mirren for example. I am absolutely delighted at our current position in the league, but there remains incremental room for improvement in both of these areas.
  23. I'm not sure it is harsh. Don't let your perceptions of fellow fans views get in the way of this snowballing issue of 'trust'. It's bordering on Uber fan territory.
  24. All fair comment, but in the general pecking order, it was Watson and then Wales/Warnock as the 3 that looked to be the best prospects. What's the point in a Fraser Murray getting minutes, when we could be testing Warnock. In some respects I think Del got a bit lucky with Watson, he possibly just didn't know how good he was until he got a sniff of first team football. The same could be said for Warnock, nobody knows at this point.
  25. I can't imagine the club not offering Rory a deal.
