  1. I was sure I remember a rumour about us signing Gazza in the summer of 2000. I think after Durrant and McCoist had signed in '98 they probably thought they could get him too.
  2. I don't think it matters who we play, as long as we play friendlies. It's about match fitness more than anything. Other premiership teams are fine to play.
  3. Try now. I had the same issue before kick off and now I decided to try again as there was and it's working. I'm in London.
  4. Most clubs are run by businessmen and don't have ex footballers in the boardroom. How many in the Premiership have footballers at the helm or on the board? Unless they have experience in transfers and running a club i'm not sure what difference it would make. Clubs are businesses these days, hence the reason most of them are run by successful business men or women. Fowler was clearly brought in the help them unless he buys into the club he's not going to be on the board and will act in an advisory role to the board on footballing matters, if that's not working then he's the issue and needs replaced.
  5. So I'm assuming the championship is 5 a-side? Sounds like we're good to go. ?
  6. Who are the 4 that TW said are contracted? Power, Haunstrup, McKenzie? Is McGowen the other?
  7. Hey all, I posted last year when we did a Killie special on our Football podcast. We regularly talk about killie anyway as it's naturally our favourite subject but we've done a whole episode dedicated to Killie this week. Looking ahead to the bottom 6 fixtures, Scottish Cup draw and Tommy's first few weeks in charge. Out not on Spotify and Apply Podcasts. Link below! Please tune in, we have fun doing it and think it's a bit of laugh to listen too. A
  8. Fowler said in his interview after the celtic match that they haven't done anything about the new manager and would look tomorrow at who had applied and take it from there. I didn't say you can't stop people applying but if you have people you want to interview go get them.
  9. Couldn't agree more! We've known for a month or so that this was inevitable. Fowler should have been sounding out candidates. We shouldn't be waiting to see who has applied, just draw up our shortlist and go and ask them if they'd like to interview for it. Steve Clarke didn't apply and he's the best appointment we've made in 20 years. I think a majority of us know that Wright & Robinson are top candidates, we should be approaching them and asking if they'd like to interview for the job before waiting for applications. Sound out another couple of people and ask them too. if anyone apply's in the mean time we think is better then fine, but that probably won't happen. It's called head hunting, all the top businesses do it for the top roles, a majority of football clubs do it. I think it just shows the amateur way in which we are run. The longer this goes on the deeper in the s**t we'll be.
  10. One extreme to the other that is. Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard or Paul Wright, Alan Robertson.
  11. you got a few million to put towards their salary?
  12. Robinson would be a great appointment for us. After a month out he's refreshed and ready for another challenge, which we certainly are. He'd be reasonably cost effective. I think its a must before someone else comes in for him.
  13. Published a new episode last week previewing the SPL season...obviously we talk a bit about Killie! link here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2Mg6AKMUAmxaEKew44K1jy?si=gtpP9wFuSAOXJGg-Bd9S8A Also on twitter @FootballFishPod ta
