  1. I doubt anyone with a child season ticket would be allowed to buy a ticket for this game. I could be wrong though.
  2. The match day signs are the work of an incompetent council. Folk could argue that they parked there and never realised a match was on that day. They also do not stipulate football as the match in question so what’s to say it’s not a bowling match at Portland bowling club that they refer to? Unnecessary restrictions being applied to the supporters of the town’s biggest asset. Perhaps if these councillors were named the fans could then get payback at the next council elections.
  3. I got an email but due to circumstances I can’t make it.
  4. Any work on the progress of the new training centre?
  5. If we draw Ayr away tickets for us will be scarce. It’s only a three sided ground this season.
  6. signs on them now declaring no parking on match days from 11am to 5pm. Evening kick offs are ok.
  7. There are metal posts getting installed in South Hamilton St and a part of Dundonald Rd. No signs on them yet but it’s looking ominous .
  8. The game was played on a midweek afternoon in the winter of 1973. The miner’s strike had led to power cuts and as a result this match had an early afternoon kick off. Killie won the game4-3.
  9. I went to the league cup game at Clifftonhill in 1973. We went up on the busses that the Western SMT ran from behind the old bus station. They ran busses for years and as one filled up another would then be made available. As far as I can recall those busses that night were the last that the western ever ran. There were a lot of smashed windows that night so maybe that was the reason but it was the end of an era. It was a great way for fans just to turn up and get to away games.
  10. Yellow lines have only been painted at road junctions. The rest of the roads are as they were.
  11. More goals on the bench than in the starting 11.
  12. They are escaping from Ayr to follow the big county team. Even the seagulls know that they have WFAANW.
  13. A brilliant signing. Great player, great guy and a relative of Tommy Burns. Happy as Larry.
  14. Keep loan players to an absolute minimum. We will never improve using loan players every season. There is also no sell on money ever from a loanee.
  15. A morale boasting signing would maybe tempt a few more.
  16. There is not a chance that he will be signed by Killie. Let’s get that clear and move on.
  17. Now he is a real Killie legend. Proud to have Jim as a pal.
