  1. I am very pleased with yesterday’s result (All hail to the players and the manager). However, even at a distance of 20 hours, my blood still boils at the inordinately skewed coverage of Killie’s magnificent victory. Each section of the media homed in on how poorly tic played. Radio pundits’ opinions expressed tic’s need to go and get a wide player, a striker and further midfield options in January. Print writers mirrored these opinions. TV coverage promised ‘extended hi lights’ of the match. Despite having an extra 3 hours to collate/edit this ‘extended’ coverage, BBC’s programming went into the coverage in no greater depth NOR with any in-studio discussions/ video analysis. The inherent bias, deliberate or not (lol), does not do justice to the efforts of other clubs in the league. im presuming that any comments made in the public domain will be seen as being ungrateful for what little coverage clubs have; in this case Killie. The media should have a damned good dose of introspection, self examination (feel for bumps) and consider options to redress the imbalance! ’Mon the Killie!!!
  2. What’s the connection between Rossco’s hammer throwing in the past and Morherwll’s present day hammer throwing? Kettlewell.
  3. Anyone have suggestions of a bar in Palma to watch Sunday’s game vs Aberdeen? Thanks
  4. If some of our fans aren’t keen on our new strip, think how Plastic Whistle’s goalie must feel!
  5. Have heard a rumour that Ross Docherty (presently Partick, ex-Ayr) is signing for Killie.
  6. I’ve a concession ticket available for free due to illness. I can email it to anyone who’s looking for one. Message me if interested.
  7. I’ve just watched BBC’s ‘The VARdict’ with Richard Foster and former ref Stuart Dougal. Foster’s straight opinion was it was never a red card, at a push yellow. When Foster asked Dougal his opinion, he equivocated, hummed and hawed, went all the incident before saying, “I have sympathy for the player but I I can see why John changed his decision to a red.” Dougal did not say that it should have been a red but he ‘could see why John changed…’ He was definitely protecting his own kind. THAT’s an indicator of the decision NOT being overturned. Yet again we’re being stiffed!
  8. Ex-St Johnstone and Kilmarnock manager Tommy Wright has emerged as a leading contender for the Motherwell job. (Scottish Sun) Oh my goodness!
  9. Mayo never lose your temper when you get in a bar room fight..,
  10. Reply from my Ayr pal after me asking about Adoleye: ’He's high maintenance & has issues, I believe. He's also lazy & can't jump, but was coming onto a game at the end of the season. We offered him a contract, but he's still making his mind up...’
  11. I saw the report of McInroy new signing and messaged my good pal who’s an A*r fan. This was his reply: “I heard rumours he was going to you. He's a really good, tough, strong, central midfielder with an explosive shot. He can play at mid- Scottish Premier League level easily. We were desperate to keep him, but I always thought he'd play at a higher level. He scored the only goal v Killie in the 1-3 home defeat near the ebd of the season. Good 'un, defo! Killie c***s!” ?
  12. He definitely has a second book ready for publishing. His publishers said there was enough written for two books (that would be to the publisher’s advantage!) In conversation with him, I mentioned our disappointment at his leaving Killie. He replied that the blame fell to the board at the time. He didn’t want to leave but was put in a difficult situation (which he didn’t expand upon). I think it may be mentioned in book 2.
  13. On reflection: It has been said that one should be magnanimous in victory; not for me when it concerns Lichties. They were a bunch of time wasting, diving, cheating hammerthrowers. They were influenced by a manager whose ‘cheeky chappy, wily old codger’ persona wore thin over a cynical, anti-football style of management! And I hope Deek cuffs him the next time they play golf! Rant over.?
  14. Tony Watt has done a better job than Wullie Collum of reffing the game.
  15. I saw Ritchie at Cappielow v Killie late 70s. He took the ball into feet, back to goal, at corner of 18yd box. He flipped the ball in the air, keepie up style, turned and blasted the ball past Alan McCulloch. A great goal and he just ambled back to the halfway line.
  16. Hopkin has left the colins. I wonder what the betting is on replacement...
  17. I’ve just noticed that Lafferty is away in Ukraine with N. I., had also travelled to Malta. May be the reason why he hasn't replied to TW’s offer...he never calls, he never writes...
  18. Project Brave... what has / hasn't happened to it?
