  1. St Mirren put back in their place. Outstanding turnaround!
  2. Echo the sentiments above. My dad took me to Falkirk league game when we were in first division, promotion season, we got in at half time, memory tells me it was 1-1? Anyway, I was hooked. My mum died the following year and the football was my dad’s way of connecting with me as he had been told by mum to do so, because she knew what was coming. Not lived in Killie for 26 years now, but the team wears the name of the town I will always call home (even though I was born in Irvine 😀). Dad has Alzheimer’s now but we can still connect through our love of Ayrshire's finest. My boys are not from Killie but I aim to pass down the same values and hopefully share the same lifelong connection with them. All the best for tomorrow, an outstanding effort again, makes me proud. KTID
  3. This is outrageous! Massive intent from club. Did not see this coming. My mind is hurting, what’s our best lineup???
  4. Our paths never crossed but he was a stalwart on this forum, his match day thread titles often made me smile. Will be sorely missed.
  5. Killie legend, genuinely believe if he was playing 20 or 30 years earlier he would have been one of Scotland’s greatest strikers too. Was never in the mould of kenny miller or Lyndon dykes which seems to be expected of front men these days. A good old fashioned forward that knew where the net was and wasn’t frightened to blooter it when required.
  6. Loan or not, I would give it to big Stu, it may be the Cabernet Sauvignon but I get the feeling he has killie in the veins. Right age and leader material, Scotland cap and goal. Rory as vice captain out of respect to a man that is killie through and through and living out all our dreams.
  7. This was my thought also. Watson was cleaned out but st Johnstone player but he played the ball first. It was an excessive tackle imo and saints player knew exactly what he was doing leaving something on Watson imo. Rory clearly plays the ball first but I don’t think his intention was to harm the player, just an unfortunate follow through. I’m not sure what Rory is meant to do, just let the hearts player get the ball? Im probably out of touch with rules now but even defenders defending with their hands behind backs is nonsense, it’s hardly a natural way of defending.
  8. Looks like they fielded 2 ineligible players in 8 league games, apparently 3 points deduction per game. Makes killie look very professional in comparison.?
  9. Just been reading this, must be for a repeat offence? I’m trying to get more info, the club statement doesn’t give away much more. Very harsh for for fielding one ineligible player in a different tournament.
  10. For long enough we were always the pundits favourite for the drop and continually go it right up them. Seems they are all going for st Johnstone this year, although Motherwell don’t look in great shape and st mirren we’re on a bit of a slide last season.
  11. Tremendous effort from fans to players. Love how this club pulls together when the chips are down. I have a bottle of black label, bought in 2012 after league cup final and vowed it would remained sealed until we next won a trophy. New bottle being bought tomorrow. Have a great night everyone and safe journey’s home.
  12. What a cool finish!!!!! Brilliant stuff. and breathe
  13. I would rather see us getting beat while we’ve got some of our own young boys busting a gut for team because it means more than a paycheque to them. Lafferty, Naismith jogging around pitch gives me the same feeling I had about a few players last season. Team should be embarrassed not just because part timers showed more desire but also because a young lad who isn’t even our player showed them up in only 20 mins on park. im allowing myself an ott vent tonight. will console myself tomorrow with the old cliches like no prizes for being top in February…..
  14. I’ve moved past the anger, I feared this. It is extremely sad to watch it ending like this, just sad. I hope they pull at least one back and go down with a bit of fight but it looks like this could get worse for us.
  15. Here we go friends. Fasten the seatbelts and remember to breathe as it won’t be easy 90 mins. This great club has a fine record of getting results when the chips are down, shame there won’t be a big support to help this time round.
  16. Having taken the gamble almost two years ago before Scotland qualified, I have now had the email to confirm I’ve lost my tickets for both games. I will be keeping an keen eye for the celebrity/ corporate/ politicians/ general hanger on’s, in the crowds for these games. C’est la vie
  17. Seems like the sensible option. No guarantees it will work though. Impressed that he has a set big enough and self belief to take us on. Really hope it works and if he does the job and Is off to ni job in a few years then so be it. Was always surprised that he seemed to be consistently overlooked for jobs elsewhere. On a side note, whatever your view on our Rory, it is somewhat humorous that after all the managers that have picked him, we now have a manager that tried to sign him! He could be first name on team sheet and team built round him!
  18. I would consider flinging some of the youngsters in. Burke and bagan gave us a spark that helped save us and better in 90’s. Could Taylor and Brindley do similar? A bit of youthful energy and enthusiasm could help an ageing team low in confidence.
  19. As much as I would happily see the back of the old firm from our league, these moments are absolutely priceless. Can’t wait for work tomorrow. Well done Alex Dyer.
  20. Second thoughts let’s listen to him greet. Yassssss!
  21. Alex Rae should never be allowed a microphone for a rangers game again. Unbearable.
  22. So banned for rangers game, and if he takes Scotland job he sits in stand for Cyprus game?
