Given his track record of short-term managerial appointments, you may well get your wish

Pity Gattuso has just rocked up at Marseille...

If its a toughening up exercise that's needed, he could go to Inverness - if the manager joins in the training...

What about Richardson & the "scouting system"? Or the players who have almost exclusively been brought in by McInnes & him? Would we need another period of "it'll be better when he gets his own guys in"? Surely its better with a manager/coach who has an input to these things, but not carte blanche as McInnes has had? I just think he's here for the long haul, as the board have heavily invested in him making things better.

I had fairly low expectations or hopes for this season - low to mid table mediocrity but without any danger of relegation - and I'm not sure that even that is achieveable at present due to the goals we're losing. I think the team is potentially better than last year's (Kennedy & Magennis) so I still have some hope of improvement, depending on whether Dallas can get up to speed. My main concern with binning McInnes would be that everything has been structured around his appointment - players, backroom staff, scouting/recruitment etc. If he goes, and they follow, we're back to square one, with the board looking for replacements. I believe there needs to be a permanent structure around the footballing operations side that is not dependent on one man i.e. the manager - whether the board have the experience or the ability to source these appointments is a matter of concern.
