Test and Trace

Recommended Posts

Adhere to it or follow your instincts?  Your next to someone in Aldi.  You then get a text and told to isolate 14 days. Do you trust the technology given WMs performance on all of this and their own interpretation of the rules?

ps might be more relevant to English based Killie fans!

No App? I'm shocked.

In the land of zero hours contracts, where government has said it is perfectly acceptable to follow your instincts, who is going to take 14 days off work because somebody somewhere says you may have been near someone who may have been infected?

From the BBC:

Test and trace system 'won't be fully operational until end of June'

England's test and trace system will not be fully operational until the end of June, two MPs have said.

Labour's Ben Bradshaw and Lib Dem Daisy Cooper both tweeted after a call for MPs with Baroness Dido Harding, the chairwoman of NHS Test and Trace.

A local government source also confirmed to the BBC that they were told on a government call yesterday that "we won't get test results at a local level until the end of June - so difficult to see how the system will be up and running by Monday".

Last week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson told MPs a "world-beating" test, track and trace operation would be in place by 1 June.

An NHS contact tracing app was originally due to be rolled out in mid-May but the government now says it will be ready "in the coming weeks", with Health Secretary Matt Hancock describing it as a "complement" to the system launched today.

won't be install that app.

As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, as of Monday (11) more than 55,000 people had installed the new technology.

The new trace, track and test app is being piloted on the Island before its launched nationwide.

Ahead of its UK-wide roll-out, people have reported receiving scam messages purportedly generated by the app.

According to the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), the message links to a fake website which asks for the users personal details.
