The SFA person on Sportsound said the money has more than halved what they originally thought taking it to around 2k a week. And it looks very likely that money is going to be provided by Uefa to foot some of that to all leagues everywhere because they are desperate to have European foot a in some form next season.

I watched one of the Guilem Balague videos on YouTube with Avram Grant, Gab Marcotti and the guy from the International Champions Cup tournament. They seem to reckon FIFA are sitting on over £2billion. Surely some of that could be filtered down to the member nations.

Bottom line is, until the club stop the furlough of their players no training in any way can take place

How hard is it to do this.

The club aren’t going to turn round and just take everyone off furlough immediately from now.
Fowler and Dyer can do planning. Next will be the physios and coaching staff to get things setup. Ground staff in there somewhere. I may be wrong but I’d have thought the players could come off furlough on the 10th.

No real issue in stopping the furlough schema for Employees or the Employer if done correctly  , it’s happening all over in different sectors , many clubs have used this scheme in UK and heard a report from a club down south who stopped the scheme on a Friday informed HMRC  and had players back under payment full time the next day

for our club it would help if they officially confirmed the Manager position before any return to training as well as other information

It was officially confirmed by BB that AD would be the manager for the coming season on Sky Sports.

Players will need to come off furlough to start training .If this didn't happen we will not be entering the league

This relates to Premiership rugby union but the same principles probably apply to football.

"It is understood that when players return to stage two of training, which permits contact, HMRC will consider them no longer eligible for the scheme, which would end up costing the clubs around £200,000. Players may not even be eligible during stage one depending on the level of 'supervised training' undertaken.

Bath confirmed on Wednesday they plan to return to stage one on 15 June for 'individual conditioning with strict social distancing measures'. If clubs undertake “fully organised, supervised training”, it is understood HMRC would take a view that the players cannot be on furlough."

The latest from the SFA on returning to training.....

Scottish Premiership clubs' first-team squads will be allowed to return to training from 11 June, the Scottish FA has confirmed.

The suspension of football, which has been in place since 13 March, will be lifted next week for top-flight sides.

Other leagues wishing to resume must prove they can meet testing and other health measures.

Protocols issued to clubs this week say training must initially be non-contact and in small groups.

"Firstly, I would stress that the conditional lifting of suspension is predicated on observing the measures outlined by Scottish Government," said Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell.

He reiterated clubs are planning for the Premiership season to start on 1 August.

A raft of measures will be in place when players and staff return, including temperature checks, sanitation stations and the disinfecting of equipment.

Only the first-team squads of Premiership sides are allowed to return, and the update from the Joint Response Group gave no indication of when clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two might be permitted to train again.

"I am also aware that other parts of the game will seek further clarity on when they may be able to resume," Maxwell said.

"The testing criteria required at this stage is prohibitive but as the governing body for football we are determined to restore the national game at all levels as soon as it is safe and practical to do so."

The Scottish FA are also in discussions with Scottish Women's Football about the return of the Premier League, and Glasgow City's involvement in the Women's Champions League.
