More of our support comes from out with Killie than the town itself.

Think the last poll on here had the support being about 40% from the town.

I did a "census" in 2016 and these were the results.

KA is not included. Brightness of red colouring drops proportionally to population.

The difference between these two images is the most interesting thing in my opinion. The "colour scale" is the same for both images. There are many people who have moved away from the KA postcode.

You can also see the line between Killie & Ayr areas quite nicely.

That is really interesting - it's a shame it isn't something the club does regularly (as far as I know anyway), it would be handy to be able to trend it over time and see if there's much of an adoption rate of people that move into the KA area.  It would also be interested to see how many of them are season tickets holders/regular attendees to see how much of an impact moving out of the immediate area has on attendances over time.

No way they sold 4,500 last year.

Correct, but twelve short is no disgrace!

And a couple of hundred more than us despite our Early Bird offer, free children's tickets, third place finish and Europa League football.

Must have included a lot of free tickets to people who then did not turn up. Their average crowd was 5557. Over 18 games that means only around 18000 away fans and no walk ups. The old filth would have a minimum of 4000 on each game, did we not take 2000 to each . That is already 20000 with another 12 games.

They only played 15 home league matches, two against Celtic and one against Rangers.

We only travelled there once, in midweek, so I question whether we took 2,000.

Anyway, who cares? They claim to have sold or given away a good number of season tickets - good for them!

We've not taken 2,000 to Motherwell for about 20 odd years.

Never even had 2,000 on boxing day when Clarke was boss.

Fair play to them, good effort. Makes our total to date look a bit s**te.

As it stands, it’s a total embarrassment. Hopefully it will even up, but that difference in figures is very hard to explain. Unless it’s all these millionaires in Motherwell. We don’t deserve to compete as it stands, or demand decent signings.

Bit of an overreaction as usual. There is no incentive to buy a season ticket early this year.  A load of people still to buy/renew.  The first home game is v Celtic will be shown on Sky, therefore to access the free streaming service you don't need to have it until mid August.  As others have said, by that time our sales won't be far away from the likes of Motherwell and St Mirren.

Not rubbish actually. It was reported as 1800 at the Boxing Day game - stand nowhere near “stuffed.” The only other time we played them there under Clarke it was considerably less.

Exactly.

Love how folk just make up numbers to suit their argument.

We've not taken over 2,000 up there since first few years back in the top flight.

Interesting that Hamilton Virtual Season tickets are showing home games except the Rangers game as its on sky. So effectively you could buy a virtual season ticket but if the game is on sky you don't get it.

This will be the same for us.

This looks to be the agreement with the spfl and sky but totally rubbish for the supporters who would need both a sky subscription and virtual season ticket to watch games. In no other industry apart from football would you get away with this.

There was something on Twitter that apparently Hamilton aren't selling actual season tickets so the above is supposedly a 'pay per game' option for non Sky games.

All clubs selling season tickets are advertising that their virtual season tickets will cover ALL games, even those which SKY are showing

This whole debate has been annoying me from the start comparing our club to Motherwell's. Yes the clubs are of a similar size and a good marker of where we want to be but there is a few things to remember

1. They would like to get to 4500 doesn't mean they will (I'm pretty sure they would like 10k but they are being realistic)

2. Motherwell started selling season tickets on the 6th April we didn't start until 12th June, over 2 months later

3. It took Motherwell a month to announce hitting the 1500 sales mark, we done it in less than half that time.

4. We will be down on ST sales for the few reasons already mentioned, my father in law who has had a ST for 15+ years and would normally buy his ST as soon as they went on sale hasn't this year as he doesn't know how stable his job is right now and I'm sure there will be plenty more like that

5. Why debate it, if you can afford a ticket and have bought one then you've done your bit, if you can encourage a mate to also get one even better if not the sales will be what they will be

Are all the jobs in Motherwell stable, or is it just Ayrshire that’s suffering from COVID? Debate is what the forum is for and it’s down to people wanting the best club we can have and maximising our limited potential.

Looking at their website, their (main/side stand) ticket pricing is substantial cheaper than ours:

- Adult £330 versus £370

- Under-21 is £185 versus £220 for our 16-18

- Under 16 is £20 versus £70

- Over 60 is £185 versus £220 for our over 65

- One free under 16 with a family adult/family over 60

So our pricing isn't nearly as attractive which can't help.

Is their main stand their cheapest option?

I would say our family season ticket for the moffat would be the best value.

I would be £515 based on those prices, against £590 at RP, based on adult and a 16 year old.

Said it before but for some categories there has been a huge jump in price for those changing cat, at Killie.

pointless comparison though cause I ain’t going to Motherwell.
