Scouser2
Only played around 14 games for us but another of our League cup winning side doing well in management .. ### Groningen manager Danny Buijs is emerging as a shock contender along with Lee Bowyer to replace Pep Clotet as Birmingham boss ahead of next season. Clotet has confirmed he will leave the Blues at the end of the current campaign, with the likes of Bowyer, Nigel Clough and Chris Hughton among the managers also in the running. But Buijs, who is emerging as one of brightest managers in Holland, is a name the City owners are understood to be considering. Buijs has impressed at FC Groningen having worked to a very tight budget, a trait that has attracted Birmingham's owners. The former Kilmarnock player is being tipped for a big future in Holland and there is a feeling at Birmingham that getting him now would be a coup.
