Dyer has beaten a newly promoted team and a team heavily tipped for relegation.

While there is no disputing the fact, you do somewhat swerve giving credit to an excellent 4-0 thrashing and beating a side after going down to 10 men- neither would be a given just because of the opposition.

Dyer has beaten a newly promoted team and a team heavily tipped for relegation. Needs to start picking up more points. Saturday is hopefully a good start point

And if he does, will we get another post from you telling us that he's beaten a newly promoted team, a team expected to be below us and a team heavily tipped for relegation? Then onto Motherwell...

Saturday was a great result and a great performance against a team that both SSC and AA generally struggled against.
IMO Dyer needed to get 7 or 8 points from the last 4 games in the first round of matches if we were to keep in contention for the last two top 6 places that are realistically up from grabs.
He’s started with a win under very difficult circumstances and if the team play like that in the next three games I think they will definitely hit that points target and we will be in the top 6 at that point and that didn’t look likely a few weeks ago.

No just stating facts. Too many posters on here get so excited when we win a match despite previous performances being poor. Dyer needs to get more results simple as that. Saturday was a good result after Brophy stupid challenge.

But that’s what being a supporter is all about. We want to get excited and that’s why we will be positive about the team when we can.
I totally agree that we can get carried away too much, too quickly but we are no different from fans of others clubs in the that regard.

Equally lots of Sevco fans now want Gerrard to get the boot because they didn’t beat Hibs. Fans are always more involved,  invested and unrealistic about there own clubs than they are about all the rest.

not many performances this season have been poor.

We are by the stage where we just need performances IMO. It’s time to start turning those into results. Performances have been to a good level but we haven’t seen the results to match. You can only go so long not getting the rewards for your endeavours. Saturday was a massive step in the right direction. The next step is to do something we’ve not done under Dyer and string a couple of results together. Ideally it would be another win but even a draw is positive. What we don’t want to do is go back to dropping points for long spells.

3 wins out our last 4 matches must surely boost the win % up.

Now turning performances into results. With a few winnable games coming up hopefully can keep the run going. Definitely been looking much better defensively as well. If we could get a player with serious pace and potential on loan then I think we have a great chance of top 6 and pushing for even higher than that.

Dyer seems to be getting better at tweeking things during the game something SC was excellent at. He must take confidence from the last few results, and build on this on Friday

Disagree with that slightly. He did very well last week to alter things and get the result with ten men. We didn’t do anything today to counter what St Mirren were doing. A defensive line which grew more solid as the game went on but we allowed them right back into it and lost control of areas we dominated in the first half

Last two games have been massive. We were desperate for the win last week and got it even when things were against us. Today is something else we haven’t done since he took over. We won ugly. We’ve strung results together and the form table looks better.

We didn't do anything to counter absolutely nothing?

This, they got into decent areas of the pitch but created next to nothing. Pressure was always going to build near the end but we saw it out.
Dyer changed out burke for mckenzie which makes sense as you get legs for last 20 or so without losing a lot of creativity. Not sure what else he needed to change?
