Would that be the same Motherwell who have all this money and game changers, yet only managed 1 win in their last 14 competitive games?

I get football is not a traditional business and there is different relationship between club and fans than there is between business and customers. But I think there remains some obligation for the club to excite the fans with its on-field offer, including some pulse racing signings. The club is not a charity.

He owns the hotel now. If you have a look at the books this year you’ll no doubt see that the club spent zero on the hotel which it doesn’t own. Why let the facts get in the way of a bit of slander though? Ungrateful arsewipe.

I’m not wondering at all. Taylor fee will be incremental, he’s not played a lot of football since then. Clarke compensation will be minimal, do you think he signed a contract with us that there wouldn’t be a way to get out of if a preferable job came along? Third place money, slightly better than fourth place money with the added bonus of having to pay for a crap Euro trip. Seriously though, surely you don’t have to be a chartered accountant these days to understand that to ascertain profit and loss you have to balance the incomings with the outgoings? And there have been a helluva lot of outgoings even out with the fact we had our season cut short and income halted. Please stop this “where did all the money go” patter, it just makes us look stupid.
skygod
Some people seem to have an elephantine memory when it comes to revenue and zero recall of expenditure. The new pitch, umpteen lounges and other refurbs to the stadium, recruiting and terminating a management team, furloughing staff and continuing to pay management during lockdown... When the annual accounts are published the picture might be clearer. Or questions could be asked at the AGM but good luck on getting answers. Of course it makes a difference but paying one player £6k a week is stupidity for a club like Killie. Imagine our playmaker was Jake Eastwood 45 minutes and out for 3 months Money would be better spent on 2 or 3 players wages. But we got a thousand less season tickets than Motherwell, so we’ve put the club at a competitive disadvantage. -

Your logic would be sound if all players wanted the same money. If all adult season tickets across the board were the same price. If training facilities were all free. All kids season tickets were same (see St Mirren that you were keyboard bashing about get two free kids with every adult ticket in one stand). All squad sizes were the same size... need I go on?
