Motherwell Match Forfeit - Appeal Successful

What kind of documented evidence will show that covid was contracted within the confines of the club and not outside?

I think it's taking so long because they're figuring out how to hammer us in a manner that won't involve doing the same to the "big two" when it inevitably happens to them.

Another SPFL farce in progress, the latest in a seemingly endless line, with zero consequences for the dunderheids "running" the circus.

If the game against Motherwell gets forfeited and it comes to light non of the players did anything wrong as in went to the pub or abroad etc, would we be able to take legal action?

Thinking if our punishment is harsher than Aberdeen and Celtics surely that would be grounds for appeal or legal action. Being treated differently to other clubs.

Why not just wait until the hearing is held and the findings published?

We can speculate endlessly about the nature of the charges, the two sides’ evidence, and the range of sanctions but, in practice, we know very few facts.

Hear hear! Cathy Jamieson said we were getting legal advice so we should be well advised (no MJ jokes please!).

Jason Leitch said today that you cannot prove where the virus was actually passed on from one person to the next. We can speculate and have a good idea but cannot prove beyond doubt.

Because that is not in the nature of a large number of posters on these forums.

Cause this is a fitba forum and there is nothing wrong with endless speculation

Where would the fun be in that.

Hypothetical questions are based on exactly as you said, you dont have all the information but they keep the conversation going.

I'd imagine the club will have considered every possible outcome from the hearing in advance so in turn they can consider options to challenge any outcomes the club considers unfair.

I don’t think it really matters where the players contracted the virus. I think it is about following the protocols. If we have followed them to the letter then we have nothing to worry about.

If we haven’t, then we need to be able to show dubiety in the protocols otherwise we are stuffed. However, it then, IMO, depends on the severity of the misdemeanour regarding the protocols what sanctions will be imposed.

Worst case scenario is game forfeit and a fine.

Best case scenario is no case to answer.

Let’s hope our lawyers know their stuff. Does Gordon Jackson still have connections with the club?

Sevco next to be investigated?

Jordan Jones and George Edmundson breached regulations.

Surely Not the shining example of success JJ was going to be.........so surprised .....not

And on the same day that club got a UEFA fine for a breach of covid regulations ...even though he will say the UEFA fine is not under SPFL domain ....wonder how Doncaster will comment about multiple breaches by that club and it’s staff

*****

RANGERS have been hit with a UEFA fine for breaching their strict Return to Play guidelines in their Europa League play-off against Galatasaray last month

UEFA stated: "The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Rangers FC €5,000 for the violation of the UEFA Return to Play Protocol. The above fine must be paid within 90 days of communication of this decision."

Rangers fell foul of UEFA's new rules about stewarding zones during the match. UEFA's para 13.3.1 states: "The accreditation system must allow stewards to clearly identify who is authorised to be in which zone at what time.

that only counts if a game cannot go ahead. Unfortunately it is highly unlikely Rangers would face any points deduction, just like Celtic never for playing Bolingoli

It's 1 rule for them then the rest can gtf. Celtic game should have been a 3-0 win to killie as they fielded an ineligible player due to pandemic, doesn't matter that they say they didn't know he went to Spain he wasn't allowed on pitch in killie game

Unfortunately Sevco will be held up as a prime example of how to handle the situation and deal with breaches when they arise.

I know they will but the reason they had to do this they had no option once it became public knowledge, trying to hide this would only have added fuel to SG fire for football shut down after being given special dispensation to start .

Again, this isn't the action of the club, it's the actions of 2 players so they will have the same kind of action (if any) taken as Celtic and Aberdeen. Entirely different to our and St. Mirren's situation.

But that won't stop the chat of how the "big 3" won't get punished and how unfair it all is

Folk see the word Rangers and just lose their minds.

Two players acting like knobs outwith their time with the club is for the club to investigate, and maybe the SPFL to take action against the individual players. It's totally different from our situation, which it's been suggested was to do with club procedures. I don't know what folk aren't getting about this.
