Might be worth looking at Connor Shields at QOS. Very quick tall and eye for goal. Plays up front. Bit of the Lyndon Dykes about him

He is defo someone I would be looking at, scored 9 goals and 6 assists in 25 games in league 1. Moved to the championship and has 6 goals and 1 assist in 14 games in all competitions this season playing for relegation favourites QOTS. Could be the next Dykes or Nesbitt. Someone has to take the gamble with him so why not us? Or are we going to persist with Innes Cameron who is playing in the same league as him with a slightly better team and not doing much there?

Would anyone want Liam Miller back on loan from Liverpool? There's no doubt he has the pace that we are lacking for an out ball and he is in great form for Liverpool in the reserve league (captained the team a few times and was nominated for player of the month in December).

Would they let him go, if he's captaining the reserves and winning player of the month awards?

That is the question, but if you don't ask you don't get. Could be an arguement made that the reason he is performing better is because of the experience he got while he was up here. If he came back it could develop him even further.

His last loan spell was rubbish

Yeh wasn't the best, but I think his confidence was knocked as he got clattered a couple of times in the first couple of games. Scored a good goal against Hibs after SOD's brilliant pass and was good at drawing fouls and getting us up the park. Could he be utilised through the middle and be more successful? There have been lots of comments we need pace in the team and it's definitely something he has.

Not quite sure what happened in that second spell. Things were clearly not right. Anyone with that profile and pace would be welcomed in our squad I would say, as long as their head was right. Much more likely to head to English championship I would have thought.

Brian Easton (and Ryan Porteous probably) kicked him up in the air, in a nutshell.

I was at these games and they were brutal tackles (porteous was simple thuggery). But if this is the reason for some “missing” performances and packing (or getting packed) up early and going home, maybe spl not for him.
