Wrangodog
It's getting near that time of year again, although this AGM will probably be an online event so the hotheads and bampots will be at arm's length if they are heard at all. The beginning of the impact of Covid-19 on our finances should start to show on the balance sheet although it should also include the money from the sale of Greg Taylor and Liam Smith.
Onlyonecolinmckee
I’ve had a nagging thought since Taylor moved on and the way it was described, that it’s a lot less than what we expect. nothing more than my own thoughts but been waiting for the accounts to come out to see for sure. Does anyone know when they are published?

Does anyone know when they are published? I think you may be correct. Yes there will be agreements with Celtic not to disclose the fee but if we had broken our transfer record we’d be making a huge deal about it even without giving exact numbers. We might do well long term with add ons but in terms of cash up front probably not what we hoped.
Dillinger
Without knowing the figures, it's obvious from how the club talked about it at the time that the Taylor deal wasnt as much as rumoured. A pathetic bit of business. Taylor was their first choice recruit to replace a 25m left back. Was it not 5m they spunked on that waste of space Bolongoli? We should have told them he wasnt moving for any less than 5-10m. You dont replace a 25m left back with a 1 or 2m one. -
AliBaba
All - you might well have to wait a while to get any formal confirmation of the Taylor proceeds. The May 2019 accounts were not signed off and filed until February 2020 but due to COVID-19 all UK private companies have been given additional time to formally lodge accounts at Companies House to a full 12 months after year-end. As such, the accounts to May 2020 might not be filed until May 2021 - unless the directors then choose to file even later at the cost of a fine/ penalty. As and when the accounts are filed, the cash flow statement should disclose the transfer of his registration as “proceeds from sale of intangible fixed assets”.

You realise how stupid this makes you look? Fair enough, you don't like the manager and want him changed. Attacking the board about stuff you admit to know absolutely nothing about just makes it look childish and vindictive. These are the people keeping our club afloat. Trying (and failing) to rip into them at every juncture is not very clever. You haven't a clue about the terms and conditions of the deal, or the situation surrounding it (players hold the cards these days) and yet you call it "pathetic", maybe you should looker to home to see what pathetic means.

Bbk
There are a lot of questions to be answered nationally and also closer at home in what is happening at our football club but especially in the present global circumstances that is for the future. Lets all stick together and at least be thankful we have somebody who in the past few seasons and in the present one who is putting his money where his mouth is as regards our club. All the relevant questions can wait until things get back to some kind of normal and I for one do not grudge Billy Bowie anything he may gain from his association wit KaFC. -

Taylor was under contract until the summer of 2021 so there was no pressure there to cash in. It was widely reported that Killie were holding out for £3m and that Celtic were thinking of more like £1m. During the negotiations, Taylor - who seldom missed a match - was unavailable for selection and later admitted that he had been desperate to move to Celtic. If we settled for less than our asking price because Taylor held all the cards, I can only assume that he forced the club's hand. It would still be disappointing if we accepted Celtic's valuation with so long left on the player's contract.

So your issue is that I levelled an accusation at the board of something being pathetic, then you imply that I'm pathetic... right, that makes sense

Also- I think the board are doing an excellent job overall. I didnt say they were pathetic - only that the obviously-not-a-record-deal for Taylor was

Yes, off the pitch things may have improved hospitalty wise and lounges modernised, but on the pitch the golden touch is failing massively, which will have a knock on effect on the number of fans using these new lounges. It's not just the money we got for Taylor, but surely we were in line for a decent payout from SFA for SC? I take i there isn't a page in balance sheets that show what caim in as trasnfer fees?
