I would love to see us add someone in the middle of the park with a bit of creativity - think Gary Harkins but replace the cruyff turns with passes. Haven't seen many links other than up top so far though unless I've missed something?

Imo we have creativityx what we lack is intelligent movement up top.  Robinsom gives us some of that, Cameron gives us zero options.

With movement of a striker, a willingness to run into space the opportubities to create are magnified hugely.

Osman Sow Wikipedia page has his current club as Kilmarnock even though he went to play in Thailand recently.  Some fans will love this ??

On the actual Wiki page says he is a Swedish professional footballer who currently plays for Thai side Sukhothai. Signed a 2 year deal with them in July 2021 ... Whew!

According to a Dee fan I know if it wasn’t for Adams they wouldn’t have got into the play off spot . A good creative midfielder would be better than another striker IMO

Yip, they got promoted with Osman Sow, Danny Mullen and Jason Cummings. Not one of them I'd have swapped Lafferty for last season.

IT'S transfer deadline day - so let the madness begin!

After months of wheeling and dealing, the summer window will finally slam shut tonight, and we're expecting a frantic few hours ahead of us.

Rangers have quietly gone about their business to add four new faces to their squad. However, the champions face a fight to keep a hold of Borna Barisic - who appeared to bid an emotional farewell to Ibrox on Sunday - plus Alfredo Morelos and Glen Kamara. Nathan Patterson will be staying put after Everton had two bids knocked back.

Across the city, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has made no secret of the fact he's desperate to bolster his team. Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis is poised to complete a £2.5million move from from VVV-Venlo, with Benfica winger Jota also set to check in on a season-long loan deal. However, Odsonne Edouard is on his way to Crystal Palace after the clubs agreed a £15m deal, while Burnley and Bournemouth are in talks to land Ryan Christie.

Elsewhere, Hibs have slapped a £5million price tag on star striker Kevin Nisbet as they look to fend off interest from Swansea City. Dundee are closing in on a loan deal for controversial Hoops forward Leigh Griffiths. And the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts and Dundee United could all make late moves as they hope to be in a position of strength when the window slams shut.

CAL OF DUTY

Callum Hendry could be set for a reunion with Tommy Wright at Kilmarnock.

The St Johnstone striker is reportedly on his way to Rugby Park.

Sky Sports News state that the 23-year-old is attracting interest from Killie.

However, it's not yet clear whether the switch would be a permanent deal or just a loan move.

Hendry - son of Scotland hero Colin - is into the final year of his contract at McDiarmid Park.

Wright brought the striker through at the club, and fired him into the first team where he enjoyed a fruitful spell during the 19/20 campaign, scoring seven goals.

He spent the second half of last season at Aberdeen after falling out of favour under Callum Davidson.

Kilmarnock are also set to seal deals for Oli Shaw and Jamie Gullan before the day is out.

It remains to be seen whether the Ayrshire side will progress to sign all three.

I don’t buy it, can’t imagine us signing all 3 of them

Would be very interesting if anything in the Barrie McKay rumour . Clearly he is out of contract and Daniel McKay has just recently signed for Hibs so he doesn’t make sense unless they have made a quick decision on him not being good enough. Kenny Shiels missed a trick the last time with Barrie McKay who could have been a great player for us . I have no doubt he would do extremely well in this league  ,, hope it’s true!

No rush to get it done today. Focus on getting Gullan/Hendry done then look at frees and loans that could still improve the squad in the coming weeks.

Can’t help but feel jealous of Dundee. In our shadows last few seasons. Now signing a goal machine in griffiths. Exciting times for home fans heading to Dens. These type of players get the blood boiling.

No jealousy here

Crap ground , Dundee polis!, a team that has struggled for years , spent money on number of poor signings ….only got up due to how bad we were in the play off games

In fact number of dundee fans were wanting their manager sacked early last season ……

though Griffiths may prove a decent short term signing if he knuckles down….it is a risk for that short term gain of keeping out of the bottom 2
