Reading through these it males our relegatiok even more gutting, when you see some of the players who canny get INTO these selctions let alone thise who do.

Jesus our squad had been allowed to become woeful in comparison.

Some of these sides would be challengimg for the title these days.

I only started watching Killie in 2005, so I know it will be wildly different from a lot of others teams, but for players I've seen:

Bachmann

O'Donnell Wright Pascali Taylor

Burke Eremenko Mulumbu Naismith

Boyd Nish

Colin Nish?  That is a surprise.  Absolutely no way am I disagreeing with your choice as its all to do with opinions but that is a surprise to me.  I was probably in the minority mind you who thought he didn't offer much.  On the flip side it makes me and probably others feel really old as I'd already racked up 13 years of support by 2005 ????

Just for the goals alone, he had a great return.  I came late to football, grew up on rugby and was 17 when I started going to RP!

You feel that old? My first game was January 1977. We lost and yet somehow I was hooked. And thus a lifetime of pain was born...

That's exactly it with Killie.  They have this "thing" that just sucks you in and makes you a fan for life even if they did lose on first viewing.  One thing we can say as Killie fans is that we definitely aren't glory hunters!

They’ve also given me some of the most unforgettable moments of my life mind you.

Paul Wright in 97

DVT in 2012

Brophy’s penalty in 2019.

There has been glory between the miseries!

                     Bachmann

O’Donnell Nelson Dindeleux Hay

                    Holt Durrant

McLaren      Eremenko      Naismith

                          Boyd

Marshall, Findlay, Pascali, Mahood, Cocard.

Started going in ‘99 so didn’t appreciate a lot of the ‘97 Cup Winners as I would now.
Always surprises me how little Michael Nelson seems to be mentioned on here. League Cup winner and an absolute colossus at the back.. whole stadium could hear him talking his mates through the games.

Reuben Gabriel. we signed him and Papa Idris as Nigerian internationals. Gabriel played twice then left. I saw him in one game and he looked pretty good. Although he was known as Gabriel Reuben for his whole time in Scotland. If it was an alias, he wasn't trying very hard. That whole episode seemed suspicious from start to finish.

On the first name last name switch front, I'd like to have seen Joly Eric turn out for us.

Merdy David is even more appropriate than David Merdy.

Very true. It did seem suspicious and a strange situation all in really.

He probably didn't deserve to be in that top team but I couldn't recall for certain which one of the Lee Clark horror shows to include and typing out that first XI was putting me in a right depressed mood! ?

I'm away to think of more 'surname firsts' we have had.

Don't know what you're all complaining about?

You just need to pick the right formation for your players.

I'll go for the old 8-4-6-2 formation:

                      Marshall

                       Lekovic

                 Monty      Dindeleux

          McGowne            Findlay

McPherson.                                    Hay

O'Donnell                                        Taylor

                  Pascali      Holt

           Durrant                     Burns

Burke             Eremenko.         Johnstone

McLaren            Skora                    Jones

                     Boyd   Naismith
