cdj
Only waiting on Brindley, Connell and Burke now.... would defo like to see the two youngsters re-signing as, IMO, youth set up has been neglected for far to long.
Souleycouley93
Decent player. Good to get him signed up. Should do well in this league. Will be interesting to see if Devenney features much after being on loan at Falkirk last season. ekblue
Good news. Could be a big year for Waters and McGowan, both have the opportunity to establish themselves in the team with two solid centre halfs to play alongside. Just need a commanding goalkeeper akin to Backman now. Oh how I wish!
jesper
Happy with this too. A tidy player in there, hopefully an extended run in the team at a lower level brings his confidence up and we see what he's capable of.
Mcd
Good news, hopefully injury issue now gone and he can establish himself in the team.
Fletch
I find this one a wee bit strange. I thought both left backs were really bad at the back half of last season. Surprised we are keeping them both on. He's done well at a lower level before, so if he's the one between him and Haunstrup who is chosen as first choice then hopefully he shows that he's a better player than we've seen up until now. He's been rated enough to keep around for about 5 managers now, so there must be something there. -

I'm sure mcculloch had him in there a few times.

McCulloch played him at LW once in a friendly against Livi. iirc he also scored in that game.

I'd be ok with him left back and maybe even stick Haunstrup left wing. Is armstrong left or right sided? Either way starting to see options in the squad which is good.
Travis
Honestly don’t see it, and have my doubts, but very much hope he proves me thoroughly wrong. If nothing else, another player making the right enthusiastic noises.
Angelo's Ashes
He's mediocre at best. We can't be too fussy given our circumstances though, so hopefully he'll be better in the Championship than he was in the SPL. -

Bigdaw
Should be fine for this level, I think part of the problem at left back has been Pinnock playing left wing. Waters like to push forward , But Pinnock is does not have a defensvie bone in his body and could not track back to good effect....Hopefully who ever comes in on the left winger slot is hard working Team player. Watters does have a nice cross. Only lacks height , But then so did Taylor and Hay.
mitch14
I'm not convinced by Waters, but I think this level suits him better and there's a reasonable chance of doing worse in trying to replace him. Good to have him staying

Spot on, he was hung out to dry a few times last season due to Pinnock not tracking back or covering him.
theauldyin
Never been convinced by him, surprised he was even offered a contract. Oh well hopefully he can kick on this season, one year deal so nothing to lose.
Pompey Repatriated
Useful backup but I'm more interested that McGowan and Haunstrup can hopefully live up to there potential this season
Bonbon19
Better the devil you know I suppose , but he hasn’t lived up to his POTY tag he came with . Perhaps with a manager worthy of the name he’ll do well ?

Popular Post Bbk
I'm happy he has decided to stay and try for us in the championship next season wasn't the worst and hopefully will be fully fit and given an extended run and I wish all this p++h talk about having found his level would stop. We are in a very competitive league next season with a good few capable teams who will give us a very severe test and as we will be viewed as the major scalp in all the games because we have the biggest target on our backs. It is going to take a monumental effort both on and off the field and this constant belittling of some of our signings isn't helpful or constructive time to realise where we are and appreciate the club are unfortunately not in a position to sign or attract world beaters !

carpetfitter
With the security of a contract and proper management, here's hoping he improves. Edited June 11, 2021 by carpetfitter
Wrangodog
Any idea if Devenny is still with us ? Another one who played well against Dunfermline at left back.
casual observer
I’m afraid he has been the epitome of “meh” to this point. Better defensively than offensively but never one to get you out your seat. Good luck to the lad and hopefully with a more sound structure round about he him flourishes this season.
