Selection was questioned in some quarters on Monday but both got their rewards tonight. Gilmour I think could end up being the best player I’ve seen for play for Scotland. He’s got so much about him. I’ve heard a lot of folk locally talk about him from a very young age and at Rangers you wondered if the hype was real or typical Glasgow bulls**t. He was outstanding tonight. They remained relatively calm before Sunday’s game then by full time they’d gone off on one again. It wasn’t a good performance and they all ignored the fact Croatia were woeful. The most important thing was three points but they got carried away too soon. They need to learn to grow with the team. It genuinely must be hard to be in that squad and be expected to be at a level your not close to at every tournament. Our attack caused them problems tonight. As the game wore on in the second half and with our composure, I started thinking "something special is going to happen here".
