Thebigguy68
I feared that one defeat and the mood would change with Cameron. Unfair to focus on him today. But he’s likely not the long term answer.

First half chance 6 yards out, can't get it our from his feet. Not long after, points where he wants it then moves at a snail's pace and the defender mops up. Polworth plays him a defence splitting pass and again on his heels. Chance played in from our right and of course the defender is there first. Just find him so, so frustrating to watch. Whatever it is, he just doesnt have it. I should add, I hate saying that. He's still only young, we've been following his career for a number of years now. We are obviously all wanting him to succeed. I'd love if he pushed on and became the next Boydie. People say you need to give young players time, that it's too early to criticise him, and of course he is still only 20... but I think when you watch a raw talent who later kicks on (Boyd the perfect example), they're maybe not scoring every week, but you can see the attributes. I just dont see that with Innes.

I did not mention busting the budget but to try and get a straight promotion by not spending the budget with the risk of not getting promotion is a risky move. We cannot afford to take chances on unknowns as you say as the end cost could well be significant with multiple years in the championship. No they didn't, it would remain the same regardless which division we were in, that budget may or may not have been the same as the previous one...

On KTV at half-tme they showed highlights from a 3-0 win over ICT at RP around 2013. Boyd was playing and you just couldn't compare the two. Boyd's positioning was excellent, finding or making just enough space to get a shot off. One, two or three touches, right foot or left, then BANG! He would probably push team-mates out of the way if he thought there was a goal in it for him and he was the same as a youth. You can't see that hunger and determination in Cameron and I don't know if it can be coached.
Mcd
I have said it before Innes is a young guy who will come good. He was not our worst player today. The service to him was poor as was the support. The complete lack of any creativity was the big problem today.

Innes always seems better with the ball at his feet. I keep hoping he'll be like Doidge at Hibs. Took ages to score but once he broke his duck that was it.

And I watched him come through from 16 and thought at one time - probably mainly due to his physique compared to his peers - he would be an good spl striker. He seems to have lost pace and his physique advantage is not so apparent in men’s football. What do you see as his major attributes now to be a top player? -
Wrangodog
I think Cameron puts in a lot of work but today he wasn’t getting support playing off him to get to his layoffs. Robinson going off was a big loss, he is the one player we have who can make and take chances. We simply don't have anyone else who can break down packed defences. Haunstrup gets a lot of stick and sometimes it is justified, at times he couldn’t take on defenders because there was no cover behind him, at other times he lost any momentum by playing backwards when we were going forwards. I don't know if the pink strips made Caley look bigger but they appeared physically larger in nearly every area. Disappointing that we created so little of note over the whole game.

I will happily hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong if he goes on to play a great amount of games for us. Unfortunately I don't think he has taken the opportunity he has been given at the start of the season and, once the new players come in, I expect him to feature less and less as the season goes on.
Killiepie
Due to the fact Innes Cameron has come through our academy some people won’t admit he is no better than Danny Whitehall.

As for goal scoring well let's judge him when he is given the service

As said, I was telling anyone that would listen when he was in Scotland under 17s that he was going to be a star. Even more so when he had Kris Boyd to school him. I’m not convinced on his touch or game awareness at this level. But I’ll celebrate with you if he makes the grade.
