Killiekranky
12 hours ago, dasboag said: I don't get it...why are folk so hot and bothered about out attendances and who gets to go, and what other clubs are "getting"!? who cares about other clubs? Like it or not, our club took shortcuts (or whatever you'd call it) years ago to make sure we'd have a huge 'official' maximum attendance by packing seats in tight AF - and now in this current situation with distances between folk - we are, on the face of it, 'punished' more than other teams....but does it matter? Surely an overwhelming percentage of those wanting to go are getting in? Had we created a 9 or 10k stadium with the same footprint I'm sure the attendance we'd be allowed right now would be pretty similar? Also...why (at this early stage) should the club cater for numbers beyond the season ticket holders? A pile of additional admin for people who, from a legal/insurance standpoint anyway, could have absolutely no links to the club and cause mayhem when they are in with all the "Ah've paid for my ticket ah'll dae what ah want" attitude that exists. At least seasons are traceable. And if you don't have a season - honestly, what do you expect? Mental. btw, I am rooked, so I don't have a season yet - I'll get it in a couple of months.....so I'm not being all high and mighty from that point-of-view. Other clubs are an indicator of how our own club are handling things, allowing for stadium design and other factors obviously. We are not being punished, we got what we asked for, the club continued it's long held tradition of lazy, unimaginative thinking when dealing with ticket allocation. "Additional admin".... seriously ? "And if you don't have a season - honestly, what do you expect? Mental.", you have to be trolling. No one is being high and mighty , just highlighting the club could do better in these situations and put in a little more thought and effort rather than looking for the quickest and easiest way out every time.
G
I think our perception of the systems in place which handle key work streams and what happens in reality are massively out of kilter. Point being, I know of customers recently in the club shop (prior to the confirmation of stadium capacity) who were chatting to a guy behind the desk. He’s sitting at a computer, answering queries in the shop and literally working out how to relocate supporters for the Ayr game. Stating “this is a nightmare task”. Now I’m not saying he has sole responsibility for the entire job…
Mcd
Perhaps the admin situation at the club is a clear sign of the financial situation the club finds itself in following relegation, cuts had to be made somewhere. Although this area of the club has not been great for a while. unfortunately cuts have to be made or we would end up with a team of inexperienced boys in the first team.

I’m sure there would be many who would happily volunteer to assist the club free of charge after being properly vetted and their abilities assessed.

I criticised the fact that we were told that the Frank Beattie wasn't available for supporters yet people from the Chairman’s club were sitting there. Somebody posted the Twitter photo that the councillor took of his son from the FB which shouldn't have been done. However, maybe the fact that we had noticed the FB being used galvanised the club into looking again at using it for ordinary ST holders.

That’s not what I was referring to btw. there is a post of someone listing all the things our fans did against the rules at the Stranraer game, one of which was “families sat together in gap rows so they could sit next to each other”. Im sure people will agree with this view but personally I find it absolutely ridiculous.

There were plenty of available seats where families could sit together in the Chadwick. Anyway, didn't see it so it didn't happen.
Coopyman
I haven't read the entire post but I think the number allowed is embarrassing. I have emailed about a family ST and still waiting on a reply so hoped I could buy a ticket for Monday but clearly not. Even an extra 1000 on top would have allowed additional non ST fans to attend and I don't see any admin/behavioural issues from this. Just think we could have done better. -

If we'd announced 4600 were allowed in we'd still have folk moaning we didn't let in 5600. They 100% had to get all season ticket holders in as a minimum. Which they've done. They should've gotten the total allowed a week before in my opinion then we could've pushed the season ticket sales for another few days. All going well come 9th August things should chill out a bit more on attendances and we can go back to some kind of normal.
Coopyman
Agree. A week would have allowed extra sales but you are right, once restrictions go we shouldn't have any issues (hopefully) Just now, PrestersKtid said: If we'd announced 4600 were allowed in we'd still have folk moaning we didn't let in 5600. Mclean07
Wonder when we’ll receive our diktat about what seat we’ve been so kindly allocated by the club and what time we’ve been ordered to arrive. -

As I’ve said before the club is at the mercy of EAC who decided one way or another. Pretty much out of the clubs hands on the figures allowed in.

Alright....I'll bite. This is the exact attitude the justifies why the club shouldn't accommodate extra people; there's already enough 'attitude' to deal with amongst those who are attending. Take a fecking chill and wait it out - we'll all be back some point soon - it's not the club that's restricting us just now. There are many things they are to blame for, but this ain't one of them.
