Pompey Repatriated
So they've spent 28 years predicting our demise. Now they're mostly saying well get promoted including Gorgon Parks. You couldn't make it up! What's Willie Miller saying? Demotion to League One?
skygod
It must say something about how stagnant Leagues One and Two are when Cove Rangers and Kelty Hearts can come in and potentially progress through them quickly. They have both spent money which is the key. Most clubs down there must be skint. Glorified social clubs maybe.

Cove are bankrolled by the guy that owns Balmoral Energy, managed by Paul hartley who happens to be the owners daughters partner, and the father of the guys gramdchild. He is a less wealthy version of the bellend who owns County. -

They're a very negative, niggly horrible shower of a side as well. From the last few years viewing I cannot understand the thought process of the journo's watching them and them saying this side will win the league.
skygod
Maybe they have got a bunch of stellar kids ready to step up. It’s what they do. We could learn from them.

mitch14
Interesting listen on the Terrace Podcast today from the guys that know their stuff about the lower leagues. They reckon we'll win it but it might be close and that Dunfermline are a major threat. Particularly interesting on going down all the sqauds in the division - a real feeling that the quality is really low and teams like Ayr and Morton have recruited really poorly. Big question mark over us was the view that we've signed a lot of players with question marks over them. Armstrong and F Murray both described as either sensational or anonymous in games last season and E Murray as good but a bit overhyped, for example. Pretty much matches up with what we saw in the cup games.
Nobody
The thing about Hamilton is they are a team. Even last season their team spirit was a zillion times better than ours even though their quality was poor. I would absolutely not rule them out of the Championship title race. They win games with things like 19% of the ball and one chance, with 67 minutes of the 90 spent fiddling with shoelaces and passing the ball about at throw-ins. Rule them out at your peril.

RayD
Wee bit late, but just got around to listening to this podcast on my work commute past 2 days. Covers every team in the lower leagues (*sigh* still hard to accept that's where we are), with the 1st hour devoted to the championship. Helped me understand our competition a bit better... worth a listen on a long drive https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-terrace-scottish-football-6835/episodes/everything-you-could-possibly-95940235
