skygod
I suppose the scoreline is only a reflection of the comparative resources but Celtic have been very poor tonight.
bute-killiefan
No excuses for the 6th goal. Conceding that at any level is shocking defensively
Trumpetree
If Barca don't go on to win the trophy, I suppose they can always say it's because they don't get tested in games like these, against the Diddy teams. Perhaps they should move to an inter-planetary league?
skygod
7-0. They have played with four in midfield who have stood off their opponents, and five at the back who have stood like statues while Barca played through them.
piffer
Celtic are really struggling to get near Barca tonight. Been run ragged all over the park. Almost got a lucky break with the penalty but failed to capitalise. They've not been great but there is no shame in this result. Better teams than Celtic have been torn apart by Barca. Been really impressed by Barca though. A lot of big teams go through the motions in the group stage. Barca have done a professional job knowing it will be tougher to win the group with City in it as well. Any realist would see third place as Celtics best chance of European football in the new year. Points against Barca and City will be most welcome but the games against Gladbach are probably their most important.
stumack
thing that makes me laugh is that sevco fans will be pissing themselves but what it does is really show the gulf between rangers and a real fitba team.

bute-killiefan
541 against Barcelona is asking for a thumping. No pressure, long balls forward to a lone striker. They weren't expected to win, but they handed Barcelona their arses on a plate tonight

Plenty of sides go 5-4-1 and deploy the same tactics in the Nou Camp but don't struggle like that. It was a case of Barcelona obviously being the much better side but Celtic playing particularly poor defensively. If they had done their jobs right they might have prevented the score being quite as extreme.

killiefan27
People complain about this idea of having 4 teams from top 4 leagues in automatically, but really what's the point of having teams like Celtic earning £5m a game to get thrashed 7-0? Waste of time. Edited September 13, 2016 by killiefan27
Scooter
Barça really are a joy to watch and it's gonna take a good team to beat them. They must've had 75% possession as the whole Tic team just stood about watching them in awe as they walked the ball into the net. Men against boys!

I guess not, but to play a 5-4-1 they needed to press Barca a lot more than they did and force them to play long balls to the front 3. They didn't do that and were punished. To say that Barca were just better is letting Celtic off lightly. No one should lose 7-0 at any level, especially the CL
