Strikes me as a player who needed to be coached. Coming through the ranks he impressed me but at that point Alan Robertson and the youth coaches were having a big input in his development. He came into the team under Shiels and did reasonably well again with someone who was coaching him.

As a club we abandoned coaching in the senior squad at that point with two disasterous appointments and sadly some players careers have stagnated and it'll take a lot of hard work for them to recover. Hopefully he gets himself fixed up and his career back on track.

There really haven't been many success stories in recent years of players who've signed and went on to play at even a similar level. How many of the squad from the last two years are still out of the game and players like Cairney who we were told would be important for us have dropped right down the leagues.

Barbour also returned from the wilderness in the win at Fir Park IMO turning the game in our favour. He went on to be one of our better performers in the last few weeks of the season. As said above not the best but better than the other options we had at the time.

I don't think the problem is where have they appeared from its what happens to them when they hit the first team. Alan Robertson and the development staff are doing a great job considering the restrictions and difficulties involved in the job in recent years.

In recent years plenty have come through and been impressing in the development side. Come into the first team and then don't seem to kick on. Davidson, Fisher, Winchester all fallen by the wayside. Those you've mentioned are great talents but haven't really hit the heights yet although they are still young and Kiltie can now be regarded as a first team regular. It's too early to judge Clark but AJ and GL didn't have the coaching ability to take there development any further

Another one of the over hyped youngsters going the same way as most do .There are very few young players make the 1st team and of those that do most just play a few games and move down the leagues or to the juniors .That just doesn't happen at Killie but at nearly every team in the league ,the juniors are full of ex pro youth players .The top teams in the juniors are a fair level and there is an abundance of former seniors playing.Look at Hurlford and Ayrs youngest ever goalscorer now plays at the Talbot.
