I was told a wee while ago that Armour was going on loan to Kelty as their number 1.

What is a "cooperation agreement"?

SFA's new idea for getting Scottish youngsters regular game time.

Premiership teams can loan 3 eligible players to a "co-operation team" - there is a bit more flexibility i.e. players can return to parent club to cover injuries then return to the loan club. We can have one co-operation team in each division from Championship to Lowland league so potentially 12 players loaned out under this system.

Our club have been fortunate to have had so many top class keepers and obviously whichever age group category of our support you are some of us oldies would say McCulloch and Ferguson  then move on to Lecovick and Marshall  throw in Samson and Hunter .

Coming to some of our most recent Bachmann and Jamie Mac , Will Dennis may get your vote but as one who has seen all of the above ( and also a good few who were garbage) I would give my vote as the best individual goalkeeping display by a killie keeper I witnessed to Cammy Bell 2012 at hampden.

Thanks. For once that actually seems like a decent idea.

A good post; however, Samson doesn't belong in that company.

He belongs in the same grouping as Meldrum, McKellar, Andy Graham - slightly better than Doyle, Jim Brown and Ally Wilson.

That's my opinion, although others will disagree.

Was my thought when I read it. I seem to have a habit of living across the street from Ginger headed Killie players as well when I think of it. Knew his Aunt well but got sad as reading she died too young but she was very proud of him. Still making his name as a great coach but never really an elite level keeper in my opinion.

Just underlines the great keepers Killie have had - can I add Ally Hunter to your list?

Think my mum went to games when she was younger and mentioned that name. Still struggle to picture her going to Gina matches but she seemed to be all about the Killie keepers and that was a name I recall her mentioning although I do not know much about him myself.

if Alan McCulloch was playing today, he would 100% be a Scotland international and playing at the very top. He was the first keeper I watched for Killie and up there with any who have played since. One of those who had a good job outside football and happy to play part time. Very very talented keeper.

Another ‘keeper who brought in a good transfer fee of £40k when he moved to Celtic in 1973. Four Scotland caps seemed less than he deserved.

Ally Hunter never really seemed to recover from a bad mistake against Czechoslovakia in the qualifier for the 1974 World Cup.  His confidence seemed to go after that.  He was nevertheless a top top keeper for Killie.
