the big ring Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Goalie saved us a point in the end. 1
Pride_of_ayrshire Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Stryjek saved the point in a game where there wasn’t really many standouts gave him my vote think he’ll be crucial in many games this season with the lack of experienced defenders making rash decisions infront of him
aldo71 Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Keeper should have the majority of the votes
piffer Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Somehow voted for Brannan by mistake. It was Watson for me. Gave his all over the 90minutes. Worked his backside off in the first and had a really good battle with Sylla. Got beyond the strikers on occasion and offered support when one went wide. Second half down to ten he got shifted about but still worked his backside off. Tried to be an outball, tried to support Anderson and helped out at the back. Looked like his old self. Daniels and Brandon had a really good first half. God knows what happened to Daniels at half time but he was really struggling in the second. A player spewing in front of us at the side of the park wasn’t on my bingo card for today. Keeper again looked solid and commanding. 1
Scouser2 Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Watson for me, real livewire and non stop energy as well as grabbing a goal
bgb02burns Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Tough one, not convinced the keeper did enough tbh. Stanger might have had a chance if he had not blown it big time. Brandon, Watson, Dackers, Lowery and Brannon the contenders for me (in addition to the keeper). Dackers and Lowery can do better and both went off early. Brannon never quite got his attacking game going but best defending I seen from him yet. In the end voted Watson, great to see him playing like himself again.
Lorielus Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Thought everyone but Anderson and Thompson played really well, but went for Watson as his on-the-ball play was excellent and his pressing was hilariously good.

Well those two stood out as being awful, rather than everyone else great. Lots of room for everyone to play better imo. 1

Lyons playing out of position, Brandon stepping back into this level of football. I think there was always going to be room for improvement
Nigel4 Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Watson for me. Showed why he should always be a starter. Dackers had his best game for us, Brandon and the keeper also did well
JT1869 Posted August 4, 2025 Report Posted August 4, 2025 I thought Mr McDermid was man of the match, that's what he told his mates on saturday night anyway -2
