Weans like Rogic, Tierney, Griffiths, Armstrong, Hayes and Gordon, it was always a very big ask, they are miles ahead of anyone, and for anyone not akin to playing youngsters,,, they have a point to prove and give it 110%,, the saddest thing of all is the amount on here that seem to be taking pleasure in saying "I told you so"

Or people get abuse for having opinions that aren't sunshine and magical fairies so then why shouldn't people be allowed to say I told you so? It doesn't mean anyone take pleasure in it, get a grip

It's hardly a second string team - there's plenty of quality in that team.

I'm listening on the radio and there seems to be no desire from us to play football. The 'hurry up and get this over with' attitude seems to be quite evident right now.

However, there is a lot of inexperience in that Celtic team too. What's worrying is that this is virtually our first team for the league bar a couple. Did not expect to going into the interval 3-0 down going 5 or 6.

The saddest thing is people thinking this drubbing is somehow acceptable because it's against Celtic. Why even show up to these games? If fans are content with us taking a doing?

This. Far too many fans far too content to accept any defeat.

Does help when our manager openly thinks the best we can manage is a draw or a replay....

if you set expectations low, you can never expect to fully motivate

No replays in this cup, ties settled by penalties after extra time if needed.

No surprise we are offering nothing in the match, another example of the managers inept tactics. He'll get us relegated with the best squad we've had since mixu was manager

If truth be told, Celtic away in the league cup isn't our priority. That's not to say we shouldn't be competitive, but Celtic, regardless of who is in their starting 11 will give a few teams a hammering this season. We have bigger battles to come.

I can't have been the only one unconvinced by our league cup section performances ( especially compared to the results our county cousins had against the same teams). Some of our signings have been very underwhelming. Greer needs a good central defensive partner; neither full back position looks solid, whoever is there, and our midfield is lacks strength and creativity. Erwin and Thomas do look very promising.

We need to improve, soon. We simply can't rely on some teams being worse than us. We are rapidly running out of those.

People talk about priority games. These are professional footballers. Everyone knows a winning mentality is whats best for a team. Therefore everygame should be as important as the one previous.

How are teams ever expected to get better if we just give up becuase we're playing a superior opposition?

Disappointed that we've crumbled so easily. Yes, Celtic are miles ahead of the rest but that doesn't excuse our inability to put in a performance. Professional footballers living the dream and, pretty obviously, not giving a monkeys f**k about the supporters. We had a worse team ( on paper) last season and didn't  crumble like this against Celtic. If they can't raise themselves for a game like this, they should reconsider their profession. Not good.
